@✦ choi san Chanyeol tugged San to his feet, watching him composed himself. Surprise lifted their brows at his admission of having fallen countless times before. Perhaps Chanyeol was just never there to witness them.
Even so, amusement imbued their grin at the thought of San making a simple mistake like falling. Despite his chic looks and air of coolness, he is just as human as any other person.
At the enquiry, Chanyeol was suddenly embarrassed. In hindsight, this encounter had been a spur of the moment. They had a thought that needed answers, and immediately sought out the owner to sate their curiosity. They probably could have received a faster reply if they asked any other person instead of looking for San in the flesh.
“I wanted to ask how you could navigate while wearing sunglasses at night,” confessed Chanyeol as they took interest in the ground. “I thought you never trip even with those shades hindering your view.”
@✦ park chanyeol When San wasn't careful, he was clumsy, some people called it reckless, and others called that recklessness. Which was plenty true, he had a scar to prove at least one his many injuries. He couldn't help but smile at the sound of Chanyeol's laughter, it was pretty funny to see. San knew of his reputation and how it preceded him most of the time. It had been a while since he had tripped over his own two feet though, most of the time he was falling off some kind of obstacle.
He dusted off his face as he looked up and took Chanyeol's hand. "Yeah, I'm good. Not my worst fall," he chuckled. He got up and sighed, "Well, I'm glad you and the critters were the only witnesses to that." He adjusted his sunglasses, taking them off and wiping them with the hem of his shirt. "Though, why are you out here?" he asked.
@✦ choi san Chanyeol was already smiling, one hand up ready to wave, when it happened.
Choi San, the cool Phobos child who could strike fear with a glance (apparently according to every other person except for the children of Deimos and Phobos).
Choi San, always navigating his surroundings with swagger and style (he has very cool sunglasses was all Chanyeol was saying).
Choi San — who was now face first on the ground because he tripped on his own two feet.
Chanyeol was alarmed, do not get him wrong. However, the irony of someone so cool and fearsome falling from two left feet had him barking out a surprised laugh above all else.
He caught himself quickly though, leaving a red face and suppressed smile as he rushed to San’s side and offered a hand. “You okay, dude? That was quite the fall.”
@✦ park chanyeol San had been a little too preoccupied with patrolling as well as making some new little itty bitty friends. It was one reason why he liked to stay up in the branches of the many many trees at the camp. There were just so many friends to make! Time tended to slip by just like that because of it, because if there was danger, he would know it, and if he didn't, then his little critter friends would know.
The sun had long since set and San had barely noticed - thanks to his sunglasses, but he was used to them. He bid his new friends good night before he jumped down from the tree he was in, landing almost perfectly from years of experience of climbing up and down from many a tree.
He perked up when he heard quick footsteps from behind him. As he turned around, he saw the familiar tall figure of one of the sons of Hephaestus, Chanyeol. "Oh, hey-" his feet got a little tangled and he was no longer facing Chanyeol. His face had met the dirt. "Ow," he said.
—was one of the many thoughts that crossed Chanyeol’s mind after meeting Choi San, another being, ‘He looks really cool.’
Chanyeol knew San was a child of Phobos, so the sunglasses were likely for precaution sake. Even so, with their tinted shades, would it not be difficult to navigate in them? Not during broad daylight, but San also wore them at night. Would he not trip because of the darkened view further blackening the night?
Chanyeol should ask San about it.
Which brought Chanyeol to his current situation — climbing up the hill of the camp border where Thalia’s pine tree resided. San was usually on patrol duty, so when he did not find him at the amphitheatre, he came straight here instead.
As expected, a familiar figure idled at the peak. Perking up, Chanyeol quickened his steps, hoping to catch up to the child of Phobos.
