@( a ) oh sehun "Goodness, what responsible teachers we have." she spoke sarcastically, standing up and moving closer to the teacher's desk. She fixed her dress and stretched her arms. "Then let's have a situation and improvise. Name one from his list, let's see how we do." she suggested, standing on the elevated area where the teacher's desk was in.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy Sehun looked up and shrugged. "We could do practically any of this without him," he replied with a soft chuckle. After trailing his tongue along his lower lip and running them together, he looked back down to the book in his hands. "It's improv. We don't need an instructor for that."
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy slowly sat up and crossed her arms on her desk, her neck craning upward so she could see the leather notebook better. She watched intently as Sehun flipped through the pages of the notebook, his eyes scanning the pages and his eyebrows moving inward as he tried to read. "Anything in there that we can do while the teacher's not here? I don't want to just sit here and be idle. I still want to learn something."
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy Sehun directed his gaze to the girl then to the desk. He hummed softly in response and pushed himself to a standing position. He shuffled over to the desk, his hands in his pockets. "Well probably, most teachers just leave their lesson plans out in the open," he muttered as he came behind the professor's desk. He found a small leather bound book, opened and read through the almost in decipherable scrawl. "Looks like he just has a bunch of improv excercises scheduled for today."
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy rested her head on her table, using the navy cardigan she just took off as a makeshift pillow. "Me neither." she grumbled, her nails rhythmically tapping on her small desk. She wanted an acting exercise or something, but the teacher's desk was too far from her so she couldn't go over and look for a random lesson plan or something. Okay, she was lying to herself. It was close enough she was just too tired to go over and pick on up. "You think the professor has something in his desk..." she mumbled.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy Sehun shrugged and nodded a bit before leaning back into the chair he was seated in. His legs stretched far in front of his body and he tipped his head back to stare at the ceiling with a soft sigh. "I didn't know acting would require so much.. patience for our professor," he muttered with a soft chuckle. He was getting bored and getting bored fast, and he just wanted to get on his feet or learn something
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy pursed her lips silently at Sehun's last statement. "Lucky you." she mumbled as she leaned forward to rest on her table, her arms crossing eachother as her legs stretched forward. She let her ponytailed hair fall to the side, tickling her face. 'Where is that goddamn teacher...' she thought to herself. She wanted to start on something, even just a really short acting exercise.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy Sehun nodded curtly. He chewed softly on his his lower lip, rolling the sensitive flesh between his teeth. "I grew up and figured out how to get my _____ together," He replied quietly. How on Earth they got from a musical to this still sort of baffled Sehung but he went with it.
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy pouted and waved a hand at the boy sitting next to her. "I never said anything about doing it. I was just curious." she replied quickly. "I'm always careful." she thought to herself. She wouldn't do it immediately, she'd have to do extra research when she got back to her small apartment. She would definitely be careful with something as sensitive as this. She wouldn't get addicted anyway. She would have to wait until she had some free time, maybe after she studied. "Well, at least you stopped."
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy "Yes..." He said after a moment of contemplating. "I don't suggest you do it, though. It's not worth it, Suzy." The tone in her voice sort of made him nervous for having even told her about this, but it was too late to take back what he said now. "It's like... A strange addiction once you get started, and it can kill you if you aren't careful." He nodded and shrugged, feeling like that explained enough without telling the girl too much. But in all honesty he didn't care anymore, he'd already said too much either way.
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy nodded slowly in agreement, not taking her eyes off the boy's sleeve even if he already covered the scars with his shirt. She was imagining how those white scars looked like on him when he flashed them to her. "So you're saying it hurts in the beginning but it feels nice in the end, right?" she asked. For no reason at all, she started feeling nervous, as if she was going to do something she had to do, but was terrified of doing. It's like the stage fright she never experienced.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy Sehun paused to think about the answer to give her. He nibbled softly on his lower lip, rolling it between his teeth slowly before humming quietly. "At first it hurts. It's not too surprising, you are severing an organ and some veins with a blade, after all. But as you lay there bleeding, it's different. Your skin feels a little cold, and you feel calm, almost like laughing."
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy heart clenched as she listened to Sehun's response. She gave the boy a sad smile as well, mirroring the one on his face. She opened to say something, but she figured that this was going in too deep into his personal life, after hearing his cryptic answers. "Well... how did it feel like?" she asked softly, trying to steer away from the subject on whoever would 'win' if Sehun kept harming himself. It might be uncomfortable for Sehun to discuss it with her; she was only a stranger he just met, after all.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy For the second time since they had actually been in the room together the two made eye contact. Sehun offered a small sad smile and shrugged. "I came to the conclusion that if I was hurting myself too, he wins." Sehun picked out his words carefully. "That and I have more strength than I used to." Sehun shrugged.
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy blinked as her eyes landed on the line scars embedded on the boy's white skin. She looked down at her desk, away from his arm. "Sorry." she quickly mumbled, feeling a bit embarrassed from her tactlessness. Her fingers d her wrist gently as she slowly turned to look at him. "Why did you stop?" she asked. This was not like her usual self at all, but she was just too curious. Who knows what her classmate here has been through.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
Sehun looked over at the girl for a moment. He watched her fingers trail over her left wrist and pulled up the sleeve on his own. The milky white scars stood out on his skin and he sighed softly as he heard her question. "Not anymore," he finally muttered, pushing his sleeve down and the memories to the back of his head.
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy scrunched her eyebrows together as she listened to Sehun's explanation on why he would rather slit his own wrists. She realized that she wanted to feel something good too, even if it was right before her death. Painless sounded a bit boring now, even if it was cleaner for the ones who would find her body. "A distraction from the pain..." she thought, her fingers running over the wrist of her left hand. She's never seen her mother do something like that. Then again, her mother had her own method of forgetting, and it came in as fragrant liquid in glass bottles. "Are you one of them?" she blurted out thoughtlessly before quickly covering .
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy Sehun shook his head. "You're misunderstanding. I wouldn't do it to kill myself." He replied. "I wouldn't be looking for a way to die, but a way to feel," he put emphasis on the last word. "Or to distract myself. When you cut yourself or get injured, your body releases endorphins as if to distract you from the pain. It's the same concept. That's why people cut themselves."
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy opened to quickly say something, but she slowly closed it. She pouted and thought for a while. "I guess he's the type to prefer that kind of death. I wouldn't choose to slit my wrists, I'd choose pills or injections, it's less messy. I'd prefer to die clean and unstained." she replied, nodding in her seat. "But hey, even if you're old, life still matters as long as you're still living." She leaned back in her chair. She only applied that piece of advice to herself. Well, most of the time, anyway.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy "You could argue that, but you could also argue that it wasn't justified of him to jump off a bridge to his bloody bone-breaking death," Sehun replied quietly. "I mean, He was a very cold man from the get-go." Sehun shrugged softly and shook his head. "If it were me, I would have just slit my wrists or something." He chuckled quietly and rubbed at his long sleeves. "But his life was almost over anyways, he was old. So I guess it didn't matter all that much."
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy drew little circles around her desk, her hand moving like it had a mind of its own. "Whether his actions were for himself or not, his reaction isn't surprising, just depressing. If I was in his place, or if I had a similar situation, I would probably kill myself too. Or maybe that's just me." she replied before pausing for about a minute, thinking about the last few words she said. She made a small nod, agreeing with herself.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy "I don't think that what he experienced was what you could call mercy," he said after a moment of contemplation. "And it wasn't for the public, what he was doing, hunting down another man was for himself. "It doesn't matter if he didn't know. Honestly I'd be more upset once I found out. Found out that all that hard work and passion I had was just useless," he muttered, bringing his pencil down to write some footnotes into the script, little things that he thought would better the way he acted, played out the part.
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun "Well, for most of his life, when he was hunting down Valjean, he never thought of it as a waste of time. He only thought like that near the end. He was just crazy dedicated to his job and he was just really disciplined and full of integrity. He, of course, thought he was doing the right thing by searching for this ex-convict, since he thought he could serve the public that way." she replied, erasing a little flower with an extra petal from her notebook. She was almost tempted to turn her head to face the boy, or at least glance at him. She still felt guilty for causing Sehun's outburst. "One could be more lucky than the other, anyway. It's sad that Javert experienced that kind of mercy from someone at the wrong time. But at least he still experienced it."
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy "I don't think Javert was so lucky. He spent his life chasing for something that he later found to be pretty much a waste of his life," he replied. Sehun leaned back, stretching his legs as far out in front of him as the small desk would allow. "Valjean on the oter hand worked his whole life to prove that he wasn't a monster. He never wanted to be place in such a financial hardship again. But he at least found some bliss on his deathbed." Sehun now felt like he was getting somewhere with this girl, their little scene since pushed to the back of his mind
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy crossed her arms and leaned on her desk, staring at the floor. "Well, it took him some time to feel the shame for what he's been doing. At least he changed into a somewhat honest guy after he experienced forgiveness. His need for redemption affected others too. And in the good way." she replied, her hand reaching for her pencil and scribbling in her notebook some more. "Those two are lucky. Mercy is difficult to accept, and it's even hard to forgive someone else."
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy "It probably did drive him mad, thus why he ultimately killed himself," Sehun replied with a nod. "Yeah, everyone sees Javert as this real bad guy, but I don't think so. He's got this raw passion about doing what his job. Valjean on the other hand... I almost think he tries too hard for redemption." He shrugged, smiling absently at his binder. "I guess it makes sense for an ex convict, though."
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy put on a confused face as she listened to Sehun's words. She pulled out an old notebook and a pencil. She listened to him intently when he gave his opinion on Javert. Her hand moved by itself and grabbed the pencil, doodling intricate patterns on the last page of her notebook. "I... never thought about it that way. I guess anyone would be disappointed wasting time like that. It could be enough to drive someone mad." She wasn't looking at him, but the tone of his voice sounded strange. His words seemed automatic. It was like he was just talking for the sake of talking. "Never met anyone who thought of Javert that way." she mumbled to herself.
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy "I don't just make a habit of yelling at people," he mumbled, smiling softly. He stopped flipping the dried pages and suddenly pulled out a binder to stick the script in. "I uh, I really like Javert... A lot of the people that I have talked to about the musical.. they don't get him, I don't think," he chuckled quietly, drumming his fingers along the smooth white surface of the binder. "I'm sure it must have been hard, to run after someone your entire life only to find that the man he was chasing wasn't all that bad to begin with." Sehun didn't know what he was doing. Creating mindless chatter? Slumming? But he went on, not really ever turning to face Suzy again, spare a momentary glance as he spoke.
( a ) bae suzy 10 years ago
@( a ) oh sehun Suzy was facing forward, her back resting gently on her chair. She finally calmed down, and so did the rest of her body. "Well, it's good. I'm surprised you were actually sorry about... uh, yelling at me." she replied, the only other sound coming from the papers he flipped. She expected him to be the stubborn type and you know, not even think of apologizing for what he did.

Suzy turned away from him, looking to the side with her legs crossed again. Her ears perked up as she heard his question after the long and unpleasant silence. She felt one side of twitch upward at the mention of the world-famous book and musical. "I wish I had. There's still the book and what videos I can find online." she replied calmly. "Why?"
( a ) oh sehun - sh 10 years ago
@( a ) bae suzy Sehun glanced at the girl and nodded stiffly. "Then why do the students here seem to treat it as if it does?" He muttered more to himself then anything. He flipped mindlessly through his script. "I'm still sorry, I could have actually controlled myself." Sehun couldn't help getting defensive about his family, even if he couldn't stand to be around them at all. His dad worked hard, that was probably why he was so angry all the time.

Sehun sighed, and it settled in the air between them. He let the silence take over for a while longer before asking a question. He hated sitting in a room like this. "Have you ever seen the musical Les Miserables?" He didn't look at her, just spoke
