@Kang Haneul "I could've paid for it... It's not like I'm broke or anything..." she said as she accepted the tea, drinking it happily. "But thanks. A-Again."
@HyunA Seeing her getting the wallet, Haneul heaved a sigh and shoved it aside while passing her and standing where she'd stood the minute before. The got the few won he carried with him every time- just in case- and paid for the bubble teas. Seeing her shocked expression, he just shrugged. "I don't feel comfortable when others buy me something." He stated and gave her the tea she'd ordered.
@HyunA Haneul looked at her profile and a small smile crept onto his lips, then he looked back at the menu. "I'm going for blueberry, I guess." He decided and hid his hands in the pockets of his tracksuit pants. He stood in the row, looking at the woman whose eyes were still on the menu.
@HyunA He shrugged, watching the bubble tea building growing in the distance. "It's too sweet to drink a lot of it, but one is fine, from time to time." He said as they reached the shot, that looked all colorful and lively. He wasn't sure whether he liked it or not, but that didn't matter. Now that they were here, he suddenly didn't feel like she should pay for him anymore. After all, he'd just found her necklace, right? "What do you drink?" He asked her, studying the menu.
@HyunA Haneul nodded a little, thinking about her words. What would he want if his parents passed away? Nothing, really. Because what's the point in having something from them when he knew that they never really loved him? He, again, ran his fingers through his hair, seeing the bubble tea shop in a distance. "I see~" He stated, his throat suddenly feeling all dry, but felt like drowning at the same time. "Do you like bubble tea?" He then asked, somehow having the feeling that he had to keep the conversation running.
@Kang Haneul It was just as uncomfortable for him as it was for her, but she felt like she had a debt to pay. Bubble tea wasn't gonna repay it all... but you know...
Walking with him and hearing those words come out of his mouth, she suddenly felt nervous. "My mom gave it to me before she passed away... I kinda feel like it's the only connection I have with her now," she mumbled.
@HyunA Haneul ran his fingers through his hair and looked around insecurely. Having a bubble tea with her? He eyed her, then himself, and finally, he shrugged. "Sure, I wouldn't mind." He then said, mentally asking himself what he was doing there. Having a bubble tea with a teacher? Was that even legal? He cleared his throat, happy of having this Poker-Face of his. When she started walking, he followed her closely, suddenly having the urge of saying something. "Excuse me?" He asked, getting her attention. "Why is this necklace so important to you?" He looked at her and the necklace in her hand.
@Kang Haneul HyunA laughed softly at his question. Impolite? If anything, he was the exact opposite. "No, not at all! Uhm... If you have time... I can treat you to bubble tea? As a thanks..." she said hesitantly.
@HyunA He didn't know why, but somehow he felt that he shouldn't just let her off like this. What caused her running away anyway? Had he behaved impolitely? Was there something wrong with him asking to help her? He looked into the direction she'd come from, and cursed inwardly. Just then he started to run after her. "Excuse me, Teacher?" He called out for her and waited until he turned around. Just then, he bowed again, feeling stupid bowing so often. "I- Just in case I missed something, have I been impolite?" He wondered and for a second he thought about plastering a smile on his face. He didn't. He just looked at her, questionmark on his face.
@Kang Haneul HyunA bit her lip and and looked down in embarrassment. Why had she hugged him? This was really the first time she has ever done this. Hearing the boy's words, she looked up at him and saw his frown. "Uh... No, it's f-fine." With that, she took the necklace and started walking down the road.
@HyunA Startled by the sudden hug, Haneul frowned and stumbled a few steps back, holding her so they wouldn't fall. "You're welcome." He muttered, still holding the necklace in his hands. Seems like it meant a lot to her. He cleared his throat to get her stop the hug, and nodded then. "Should I help you putting it on?" He asked, but frowned right after. Why had he just asked that? He looked at the teacher that was gazing at the necklace with sparlking eyes.
@Kang Haneul "My GOD, WHERE THE HECK IS THAT FREAKING NECKLACE?!" HyunA yelled to herself, looking for the said piece of jewelry. She saw a student running, politely bowing when their ways crossed. Did that polite gesture make her day better? Nuh-uh. Not even CLOSE. She sighed, looking around the bench. A few seconds later, she felt a small tap on her shoulder and turned around to face the same boy that bowed. He held out a familiar necklace and asked her a question that gave her relief. "Yes! Thank you SO much!" she exclaimed as she hugged the student without thinking.
@HyunA With his hair still wet from the shower, Haneul took his bag and left the gym, without a destination really. After having finished the high-jump training he usually didn’t know what to do. There were no homework left, nothing had to be done. He looked at his watch, then at his mobile. No new call, no message. Of course. Not like anyone thought of him where he came from. Getting his thoughts settled, he jumped into his running shoes, locked the bag into the locker and put in his earphones, deciding to go for a run. It was far from dinner and there was nothing better to do, so why not? He ran his hand through his wet, brown hair and ran down the hall. The Campus was full with people, they had changed into casual clothes and were now either going into the city or relaxing in the sun. He ignored them as good as possible, even though he couldn’t overhear some of the whispers from the girls. Face emotionless, he past them and started running down the campus, until he reached the Sakura Garden. He loved running, especially when there was this moment where nothing else mattered. All he could hear was the thud-thud sound of his feet on the ground, all he could see was the way in front of him. And all he could feel was the cold wind blowing through his hair. If it wasn’t for a person to appear in the distance, he would’ve smiled in that moment. But, since there was somebody who could possibly see it, his smile stayed hidden. He thought about just passing the person, but then he realized that it was a teacher at his school. Even though he wasn’t a nice person, didn’t mean he wasn’t polite. And so he stopped and bowed politely when their ways crossed. “Annyeonghaseyo.” And with that, he wanted to go on running, but after he’d taken a few steps, he notices something shiny lying on the ground. He reached out for it and realized it was a pretty necklace. He knew only one person who could’ve lost it on the Campus of a Boys School. He looked after the Teacher and started running again, until he reached her. He tapped onto her shoulder carefully and bowed again when she turned around. “Excuse me, teacher, is this yours?” He showed her the necklace and eyed her. If he wasn’t used to it, he would’ve find it funny that the woman was a lot smaller than him. But he knew barely anybody who was taller than he was, so that was nothing new to him. Sweat was rushing down his temples when he waited for her answer.
