The Ruins is what remains of the wanders original home. it was bombed long ago and since only the warlocks have thumbs, it hasn't really made much progress in being rebuilt. it still has it's arch ways and underground tunnels, where the giant birds sleep, but other than that...this is what remains. THIS Is connected to the forest of the creatures,  The MERPEOPLE's channel, and the realm of the day.
