Minho entered the building with long strides and his chest out. "I have arrived,"

Minwoo continued running away. Running away from wild beast dogs which were chasing after him. Upon his arrival, he saw a huge castle that was nearby. It was the only place that seemed like a good hiding spot. The young fledgling quietly slipped inside and shut the door. Hoping the wild dogs didn't follow him here. He sighed before catching his breath. Sitting against the door, looking at how the inside of the castle looked beautiful. Everything clean, neat, and not dirty.

Jongjin steps out of the castle doors looking up at the grey sky. Lifting up his coat collar lighting up a cigarette he walks out of the castle grounds hoping to get away from everyone and everything

@♠ Byun Baekhyun (that sounds perfect. maybe they could end up meeting downtown or something when kyungsoo is all hiding and stuff or something orz. unless you wanna move to wall.)

@♠ Byun Baekhyun Nothing about the knife in the prince’s hands scared him. Physical weapons meant absolutely nothing to him. After all, Kyungsoo had resigned himself long ago to the fact that he was going to die one day. Dying via stab wounds didn’t seem like a terrible way to go.

But it was the vampire’s words that scared him. It wasn’t the thoughts of betrayal or the threat of murder. It was the horrible reality of how the royals were taught, and they truly believed it. Royal blood had run cold centuries ago. He wouldn’t be surprised to find chilled liquid if he were to bite into one of their necks.

“I’m afraid you’re already ruined.” Kyungsoo eventually settled on these words, spoken in a soft voice.

He didn’t really have anything left to say after that. If he hadn’t made a dent in the prince’s beliefs by then, he probably would never. It was fighting a losing battle and he knew that.

So he simply his heel and sped through the archway, down the hall and out the front door as he’d planned. He’d never been so thrilled by the feel of cool wind on his skin before in his life.

He just needed to get away.

@♦ Do Kyungsoo Baekhyun sighed slightly as neither of what he anticipated happened. It entirely missed him, the vampire's reactions quicker than what he had thought they were.

"More wasted blood," he sighed. "And here I thought I could get you to leave a trail of blood as you tried to exit the castle without getting caught." The disappointment in Baekhyun's voice was clearly evident. He didn't really care about the spilled blood, it was easy enough for him to get more.

"Status only ruins you, if you cannot handle it. If you feel guilt, or sympathise with those lower than you, you are only setting yourself up to fall. If you believe it was wrong to have more than others, and that everyone is equal, you had no right to sit at the top from the start. Thank you for your concern though... orphan. Perhaps you should leave before I decide to stab you in the back." Baekhyun picked up a knife and smiled, twirling it around his fingers while staring directly at the vampire.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun Kyungsoo was really beginning to regret killing him. He really was. He’d thought that, if only for a moment, the prince had forgotten his prejudicial ways, but Kyungsoo only had to listen to him talk for a while longer for the pompous words had returned. The benefit of the doubt was what he’d been trying to give, but his generosity had only been wasted. That was, however, what was to be expected of someone who’d only ever been fed the beliefs that traveled between the castle’s walls.

“Status ruins you,” he said, tone nothing short of sad. “I would be very careful of the decisions you make, your highness.”

He stepped aside as the arrogant vampire tossed an open bag of blood at him. He was already covered in the stuff, small splatters of it littering his clothing from when he’d feasted on the kitchen help. He wasn’t hungry any longer, to top it all off. He wouldn’t drink, but he wouldn’t let his shoes be soaked in blood either.

“But then again, what would I know?” He eyed the split plastic, red now covering the white tiled floor. It had just missed his shoes. “After all, that’s only orphan’s blood. It is not to your taste.”

@♦ Do Kyungsoo "It's such a pity you're not sticking around to tell me the full story but never mind. I hardly care for someone who has willingly lowered his place in society. It is rather tragic."

Baekhyun trailed his finger along the counter as he walked away from the entrance, and away from Kyungsoo who was heading towards it. He casually opened the fridge and pulled out another bag of blood. He tore it open with his teeth and took a small sip from it.

"Here, have a sip before you leave," grinned Baekhyun and he tossed it over to Kyungsoo before waiting for a response. One of two things would probably happen - the instinct to catch something thrown at you would take over in which the blood would end up all over him. Or he would make no attempt to catch it and it would spill at his feet. Baekhyun was curious to see which one it would be.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun Every bone in Kyungsoo’s body was aching to flee. He had his way out, had achieved it much easier than he’d assumed possible, and he wanted to do nothing else but run. He was already reminded of the horror it was to be trapped between castle walls, but it was even worse, even more nerve-wracking with company. Claustrophobia wasn’t his only worry.

But really, what could answering a simple question do to hurt him. He was unlikely ever to end up in the castle again, seeing as how this visit had not turned out well, and he was quite learnt in evading pursuers even if the prince went against his word. They were likely never to see each other again, and that fact posed no threat.

“I would liken it more to me throwing myself down the steps of society,” he said thoughtfully as he made his way toward the wide archway separating the kitchen from the hall. If he was lucky he’d be able to sneak right out the front door without being seen. Windows were quite bothersome, after all. “It was quite tragic, if I do say so myself, but it was intentional.”

@♦ Do Kyungsoo He knew it was his own fault that he was treated like a child, when he constantly acted like a spoilt brat that never grew up, or learnt anything as years and years passed. Hearing it come from someone who didn't know him however was a little annoying.

"Eh?" Baekhyun couldn't hide his surprise at the question. Was the other actually going to give in? His anger faded and he nodded his head with a doubt.

"Of course," he replied. "I've said that from the beginning haven't I? But let me ask something out of curiosity. You're clearly not meant to be here which puts you in the same class as an orphan, but what were you before? The way you talk would make me think that you're an elder who has fallen down the steps of society? Am I right?"

@♠ Byun Baekhyun Kyungsoo’s stare grew more and more pitying as the prince’s words refused to cease. He didn’t feel bad for the vampire, he just couldn’t help but to pity what he’d become. He wasn’t lying when he’d said that the castle had ruined all of its inhabitants. This man was a spoilt prince, fighting for position. It seemed a useless battle, but then again Kyungsoo could lay claim to no position. What would he know?

“I cannot imagine why anyone would ever treat you like a child,” he drawled sarcastically, “You’re so very mature.”

He was growing subconsciously less angry with each passing second, most likely due to the lack of threat the prince posed. When he’d jumped out to face him, he’d expected much more of a fight, perhaps at least a pair of bared fangs. Instead all he got was a loud-mouth with a bad case of little man syndrome.

“So, are you going to let me leave?”

There was no point in killing unnecessarily; he’d come to that realization centuries ago. He didn’t have to kill this vampire. It may turn out to be a bad decision in the end, but he believed the prince. The petty tantrum seemed as if it would be hard to fake.

@♦ Do Kyungsoo Baekhyun did have a tendancy to speak more than necessary at times, so he wasn't surprised when he was told he hadn't stopped speaking. It was probably true. The next comment however caused Baekhyun to uncharacteristically double over in a fit of laughter.

"The way you assume that we're all the same is hilarious," Baekhyun said, managing to get the words out between his laughter. He took a deep breath to try and calm down so that he could speak more clearly. "Can't you tell? I'm the kind of prince that should be seen but not heard. Despite my age, I'm still treated like a kid to them!" Baekhyun's fists curled up slightly in anger, not at the vampire in front of him but at those he was talking about. "That last thing I would ever do is run to someone in a higher position then myself! Even if you posed a threat to them. They can find out the hard way for all I care!"

Baekhyun was now unintentionally glaring at the vampire, it was by no means aimed at him but his little temper tantrum had gotten the better of him.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun “You were much too busy stuttering and begging for an agreement to have stuck your hand in my chest,” Kyungsoo grumbled under his breath even as the vampire continued on speaking. He was not in a good mood. He was known to be quite unreasonable when he wasn’t in a good mood, childish as it was.

His glare was nothing less than hard as he stared at the other throughout his little proposition. This prince was nothing like the ones Kyungsoo had grown accustomed to during his time at the castle. He was used to tall, dark, devilish-looking royals who were even haughtier than they were handsome. Though this man certainly had the right attitude, he was much smaller (though not quite as small as himself, Kyungsoo thought ruefully) and had a look to him that almost seemed feminine and pretty. Perhaps it was the slim, soft hands, but Kyungsoo found him hard to take seriously as a powerful higher up.

“Humiliation is the least of my worries,” he spat with a fitting roll of his eyes. “Your mouth has not stopped moving since you walked in. I’m afraid you’ll run off to the eldest vampire you can find, alert him of my presence, and send out the hounds to track me back down. Killing you seems much more logical on my part. I’ve never liked being chased.”

@♦ Do Kyungsoo Baekhyun grunted as he was shoved way, but used the opportunity to atleast get around a worktop and put a little distance between the two of them. He probably could have ran from the kitchen, but he wasn't a coward. That was last on his long list of names people liked to call him.

He carefully watched the other, rubbing his neck slightly pretty sure it would be bruised for a couple of days (that would be fun explaining). "To be pretty fair, I could have probably my hand into your chest and ripped out your heart but that's a little gross. Don't you agree?" He smiled sweetly though there was nothing sweet about the conversation.

"Now I hardly think a broken finger warrants death," Baekhyun replied, holding his hands up defensively. "Despite the fact you killed my favourite cook, I'm quite happy to let you go. That is why you wanted to kill me in the first place right? So you could escape without the guards catching you and then you would be humiliated in front of everyone." Baekhyun wasn't even sure he could talk the vampire out of wanting to kill him but he was thinking his chances of beating him in an actual fight - might be pretty slim.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun Kyungsoo’s eyes widened in shock as he heard more than felt the unmistakeable crack of breaking bone. He’d be lying if he said it wasn’t painful, but more than pain he felt frustration. Here he was, ready to murder the vampire, and the other was breaking his pinky. He was unbelievable.

“You’re a disgrace,” he snarled, shoving the prince away if only to nurse his broken finger. He was old and he was immortal, but he wasn’t immune to pain. Broken fingers still hurt like a .

He gave an angry sigh as he slowly bent the digit back in place, practically seething as if he’d been burdened with the most bothersome task of all. The bone wouldn’t mend immediately, but keeping it in place would, at the very least, help to jump start the healing process.

“You have some nerve, royal,” he said after a moment, gaze swinging back toward the other vampire in the room. His chest was heaving, eyes narrowed in an enraged fashion. The drying blood around his mouth probably only served to make him appear as some rabid animal. “You practically beg for your life, yet here you are, instigating your death.”

@♦ Do Kyungsoo Baekhyun had no idea what the other vampire had been through, but he got the feeling that the other didn't quite like royalty. Scratch that. He despised them by the look of it. Baekhyun tried to think quickly, knowing that the grasp around his neck wouldn't be very simple to get off. As much as he didn't want to admit it, the other vampire was strong too which suggested he also had a lot of years on his age.

"Y-You would have killed me instantly if there wasn't something I could do for you. Trust or no trust. I'm sure you're confident in your skills to kill me if I did betray you right!?"

He grabbed the guys hand with his other hand now, desperately wanting him to let go of his neck. His hand was hard to pry off so Baekhyun instead grabbed the vampire's pinky and snapped it right back - hoping it would atleast cause enough pain for him to let go.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun Kyungsoo choked back a bout of sarcastic laughter. He almost couldn’t believe the nerve that this vampire had, but when it came down to it he didn’t expect anything less.

“I know what your blood tastes like,” he said with an almost sorrowful shake of his head. He knew all too well. After all, blood did not age like wine. It did not grow finer as the years past. It remained stagnant, forever unchanging. “Trust me. Some matters don’t need to be tested.”

He didn’t loosen his grip no matter the discomfort the other vampire seemed to be feeling. If anything, he felt the exact opposite of pity; he felt overjoyed to witness the pain he was causing. A quick glance at the red-stained floor only furthered his joy.

“What sort of agreement could we possibly come to?” He asked after a moment’s silence, a pseudo-apologetic smile quirking up the corners of his lips. “You’re in my way. You’ve seen me. I have absolutely no trust in you, your Highness. None at all.”

@♦ Do Kyungsoo Baekhyun narrowed his eyes slightly, clearly disagreeing with what the vampire was saying. He didn't know what the other's intentions were but he wasn't about to let himself be killed after all these years of living inside the castle in peace. He had done little with his life other than live in luxury, like hell was he going to let some measly vampire come in and drag him away from his life before he did something that would get his name remembered.

"You clearly haven't tasted royal blood in a while," he rasped out, his fingers digging into the vampires wrist. It was by no means an invitation but Baekhyun couldn't help himself.

"Look. I'm just the pain-in-the-royal- prince. Kill me and you'd probably be given a medal for your service... before getting your head served on a plate. I doubt a shiny medal is worth that effort." He gritted his teeth slightly at the strain it was putting on his throat to try and talk. "So how about we come to an agreement instead?"

Baekhyun of course spoke with a back-up plan. The fact that he had made little attempt to actually try and get away suggested that Baekhyun believed he had the strength to actually get out of his grasp if he so wanted to. What Baekhyun was also good at doing however was also underestimating others.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun There was not an ounce of fear in the other’s expression, but fear was not at all what Kyungsoo had learnt to expect from any of the superiority complex ridden royals. They rarely showed any emotion other than annoyance. It was that very trait that had kept Kyungsoo as far away from them as he possibly could be until his thirst dragged him back.

“This castle has ruined all of its inhabitants,” he spits back instead of humoring the vampire with any sort of legitimate answer to his question. Truthfully, he had no problem with personal preference. He, himself, preferred some types of blood over others. It was the arrogance and the prejudice that he had a problem with. “Royal blood has run cold.”

No vampire liked cold blood, no matter the true meaning behind Kyungsoo’s words.

Kyungsoo had not had any sort of conversation aside from formalities with another vampire for what he figured to be months. It was a of bad luck that his first words spoken that were not ‘hello’ or ‘good bye’ were spoken to one of the kind that Kyungsoo hated the most.

His fingers pressed harder into the pale skin of the other’s neck. How he wanted to paint it with red.

@♦ Do Kyungsoo Baekhyun was never one to really pay attention to his surroundings and he had never questioned his safety either as the castle was always well guarded. Most people would be apprehended before they could even get inside the castle - and Baekhyun hardly ever ventured off the castle grounds. So when the vampire reached out to grab him, Baekhyun failed to react quick enough in the split second that he realised he wasn't alone.

His eyes widened, and instinctively he brought a hand up to grasp the other's wrist. There was definitely a lack of fear however as Baekhyun stared at the intruder.

"Is that the impression I gave you intruder? My apologies," he mocked back as though he didn't quite understand the current situation he was in. "How shall I put it? It's just... not tasty. Do you have a problem with my personal preference?"

He figured the vampire wouldn't try to kill him straight away if that was his intention - which by the way his hand was wrapped around Baekhyun's neck he thought it might be. Might as well play a little - the castle could be rather boring at times.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun If Kyungsoo had to guess, he’d say that the other vampire in the room was a prince. In fact, he was almost sure of it. He’d been gone long enough to not recognize the face of everyone that inhabited the castle, but royals all possessed the same ignorant attitude. This man absolutely screamed higher-up.

Now Kyungsoo didn’t usually care for social class-it was only ever a matter of who annoyed him more-but this royal seemed to be begging for contempt. The way he turned his nose up at blood simply because it was that of an orphan certainly hit home. Maybe it was because Kyungsoo was an orphan himself, or maybe it was simply the act arrogance and wastefulness, but he suddenly didn’t want to watch from the shadows any longer.

He slipped out noiselessly from his spot behind one of many massive refrigerators and made his way across the kitchen in a matter of about a second. Before he could stop himself, his hand was reaching out to grab a tight hold of the other vampire’s neck, blood-stained fangs bared in what could only be considered a snarl of rage.

“Do you consider my blood impure, your highness?” he demanded, tone no short of mocking. He didn’t know how old or exactly how powerful this vampire was, but he was acting like a spoilt child and so Kyungsoo would treat him. Besides, he wasn’t exactly a fledgling himself. If he had never been cast away for treason, he too would be considered an elder, roaming the halls of the castle just as this vampire was. He was perfectly qualified to teach a brat a lesson.

@♦ Do Kyungsoo Cupboards were flung open and slammed shut carelessly as Baekhyun looked around the kitchen to see what exactly their castle kitchen had. He didn't often make trips to the castle as he would get someone to bring his food to him. Eventually he got their fridge where their was a wonderful stock of vampire blood organised into classes. Of course the royal supply was short as there were a few people willing to give up some of the their blood but those considered to be of lower royalty would sometimes do so to up to the others.

"I guess I'll just take this..." he muttered, grabbing a bag however as he did so, another bag fell and unfortunately burst on the floor.
"Aw shoot. Ah well. It's just an orphans blood. Someone will clean it up later," he hummed to himself, closing the fridge while being careful not to step in it. He didn't want to leave any footprints. He leaned forward on a counter, resting his elbows on it as he slowly drank the blood from its bag. He hummed in contempt as it satisfied some of his thirst though it could never actually replace the feeling of drinking it from someone's neck. Warm was better than chilled after all.

@♠ Byun Baekhyun The woman in his arms had gone limp minutes ago, short whimpers all she could manage before she finally fell silent, her lifeless body slumping against Kyungsoo's. He wasn't particularly thirsty any longer, but he nonetheless continued quite literally the life out of the lowly cook. He hadn't had a significant meal in days-roaming around a never ending forest seemed to do that to people-but he'd finally made his way into a blood hub; the castle. Why not take what he wanted? He owed them nothing after all they'd made him to be.

However, he didn't necessarily want to be caught stealing away the castle's staff, as replaceable as it was.

And so his eyes flew open at the soft shuffling of footsteps accompanied by a few muttered words. Thoughts of how careless he'd been flashed immediately through his mind, but logic chased them away just as fast as they'd come. He couldn't be found; he needed to leave. But he couldn't accomplish that unseen with somebody wandering in the kitchen. His only option seemed to be to ignore his lack of thirst and kill again.

It was with a soft sigh of annoyance that he slipped further back into the shadows, laying the woman down slowly and nudging another corpse to the side with his foot. He would wait. He wasn't hasty by nature, after all, and he had no desire to draw unnecessary attention. One extra kill was bad enough.
