Floor One: Town Of Beginnings

... L O A D I N G  TOWN OF BEGINNINGS

In the midst of the forest, in the treas and all around the floors are homes. people swooshing through the air. being carried by light, translucent wings. children play and churats scurry along. this is the town of beginnings. as your eyes peel open, you can see a night flies flitter around you. before standing, you check yourself, you're not injured. but for some reason, you're tired. as you wobble to your feet you hear a voice. "Hey, you there..."

whispers

This town is ran on coal. So, far out into the forest, deep in the caves we have mines. Although lately, when miners go into the caves, they don't come out. My people have been switching to more ancient forms of energy to save power. But we still need our mining caves. we've sent warrior after warrior, though none has returned...

tips & tricks

Some say what ever is taking our people is huge. It's also been described as such a monster.
With larger creatures it is best to target it's base. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Creatures out in the meadow are a great way to become stronger.

Hazel 9 years ago
She leaned over and watched him navigate his dashboard, she copied him as well. Loving the map that showed up on he screen. She smiled up at him. "I'd be lost without you." She giggled at his attempt of a joke and took his hand. "Lead the way, please."

(Oh! I really didn't know how to find it! Thank you! See, those kinds of things need to be in the forum! And how come you gots a memory shard but I din??? ono)
Indo 9 years ago
Indo brought up his dashboard. "Hazel." He called her name for her attention. "I believe since our dashboards already have the location's name, it should have the location as well." He tried to show her on his own dashboard before holding his hand out for her. "It' not far. Let's go to the tavern first to catch up." He smiled at her, a smile only she could receive from him. "Though, I'm not really sure... what we would be catching up on, but you know."

(I'll be posting on the tavern's wall next. If you really can't find it, click on the tavern on the story. ^
And Forums are normally to help other players with the game. If anyone were to make a forum, it would be me and you. Since we know most of the things already. But we can wait some time before starting a forum. We have barely experienced anything.)
Hazel 9 years ago
She laughed as she watched the man fly away. How happy he was, it made her feel warm. She turned back to Indo. "So~ Marketplace, or Tavern first?" She smiled at him then her smile faltered. She bit her lip as she looked around. "Where are the marketplace and tavern anyway?" she asked as she whipped her head around.

(I can make one. But what would the forums be about anyway?)
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
Once he saw the children were fine on their own, Fiddle used his wings to lift and carry him off into the town. He waved goodbye to them with a smile on his face. "See you all later!" He sang as he disappeared behind trees and rooftops.

(Yes pretty much what Tao said. No, we don't have a forum. Normally the players make forums. If you want one you can make one if you want.)
Indo 9 years ago
Indo's eyes widened. The entire town? He just wanted to get a few useful items, refuel, get rid of those borerabbits and sleep. But maybe traveling the entire town, he could learn new ways to become stronger. He nodded but otherwise said nothing. Once a breeze picked up he held his head up to catch the wind. He had to admit, this was a nice town. Exploring it would be great on his part.

(Yeah I believe so. But we post on walls, as if they're more rooms. I think it's pretty unique. But games like this normally have a forum where people can post stuff, don't you all have a forum?)
Hazel 9 years ago
Hazel nodded as she listened to Mayor fiddle. She was glad he was so willing to help them with what they needed. She waved at Mayor Fiddle to send him off and turned to Indo. She smiles widely at him. "I want to see the entire town~" She sang to him as she hugged his arm.

(So this is open world right? We can walk around and do whatever we want?)
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
Mayor Fiddle nodded and motioned towards the market place. "Be sure to visit the MARKETPLACE. Tell them you're borerabbit hunters and maybe they'll have advice or items they can give you." He coughed and leaned in a bit. "Tell them I sent you and you may get something for free." He adjusted his clothing and looked around at the town houses. "I have some duties to attend to. Stop by TOWN HALL if you need me."

*---"Visit the market place before your mission"---*

(For the market place or town hall, post on those character walls as if it's a chat room. Just be sure to check in to make sure the other has replied. Okay?)
Indo 9 years ago
Indo nodded and sighed after. He wasn't worried about a few borerabbits. He was more concerned with what he needed to do to get stronger. If this little task was going to help him with it, he would be an idiot to deny. "Yeah, I'll help too." He looked over at Hazel then back at the Mayor. "But could we rest so she and I could catch up?" He motioned to Hazel when he spoke.
Hazel 9 years ago
Hazel gasped and shook her head. "Oh no, not the crops. Of course I'll help!" She nodded eagerly, watching as the task took place on her dashboard. She turned to Indo to see if he would accept as well. She was accepting to help with the crops, but knowing him, he would only accept because of the reward. Either way, she could use his help with it. Taking out something like borerabbits didn't sound easy to do alone. Not to mention this was enough to terrorize an entire town.
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
Fiddle nodded. "Ah oh yes, yes, the wild borerabbits." He nodded again as he adjusted the hat on his head. "Indo remember I told you earlier about the borerabbits? How they were messing with our crops. Well, my towns folk aren't strong enough to get rid of them. You can find them in the country yard. We need them destroyed so our crops can be safe again. Would the two of you mind helping? There's a handsome reward!" His head tilted lightly.

*---"Do you accept the Farmer's Quest?"---*
Indo 9 years ago
He held on to her tightly, using her as an anchor for his mind to keep him grounded. He didn't want to have another experience like that. But since the man claimed Indo had been touched by the gods, he knew that wasn't the last time something like that would happen. He took the key and put it away, deciding to remain silent as the two of them spoke. Instead he decided to navigate his dashboard, getting used to the way it worked. When Hazel mentioned a 'Farmer's Quest' the option on his dashboard lit up and disappeared as well. He looked over at Mayor Fiddle. What's this thing that his dashboard had been pestering him about?
Hazel 9 years ago
Hazel waited til Indo turned to them to go running into his arms. He hugged him, thankful that he was okay. Even though he sounded pretty sick. She looked up at Mayor Fiddle as he spoke. "Touched by the gods?" She looked back at Indo to see if there was something different about him. And there was, she just couldn't place what. She looked at the key then back at Fiddle. Of course they would have to work to stay there. It wasn't like they were flowing in money. That's when she stepped up after ignoring the notifications on her dashboard. She wasn't sure why, but she was used to seeing it. "Uhm... Mr. Fiddle sir, what is the Farmer's Quest?" She asked, watching as the task highlighted on her dashboard and then disappeared.
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
He bounced on his toes as he watched Indo, lightly rubbing Hazels back to comfort her. He waited until the boy was done his episode before slowly approaching him. "Boy, do you know what just happened?" His eyes wide with wonder. "You have just been touched by the gods. What ever you just saw, do not forget it. That was a memory from your life before you ended up here." Fiddle ruffled around with his clothing, taking out a key. "Take this. This is the key to my place. You may stay one night free, both you and the girl. But if you wish to stay extra you will have to work to earn your stay. But for now, enjoy yourselves. You look like you need it." He brushed sweat off of his brow and laughed lightly. "Head on out to the tavern, have anything you wish, on me."

*---"Party has received TOWN HALL KEY"---*

*---"Ask about the Farmer's Quest"---*

Indo 9 years ago
Indo's body stiffened when the message appeared on his dashboard. He needed to get used to seeing that. But before he even had a chance to respond it was like he was whipped away to some far off place. Once everything settled and the images of Fiddle and Hazel came back into view he shook his head. He began to stumble back until he made it over to the side of the bridge. He breathed deeply, looking down at the water and fish that swam through. Water. He hated the stuff. After taking a few breaths he turned back to the two of them, mostly facing Mayor fiddle when he spoke. "What the hell was that?" His voice huskier than normal. Almost as if he had really been trapped int he middle of the sea.
Hazel 9 years ago
She titled her head. "Only one night?" She had begun to question him further when she noticed Indo become stiff. She turned to him with furrowing eyebrows. "Indo?" She watched as he didn't seem to move, but his face contorted in some pained expression. She could only bite her lip as she watched. She leaned over to Mayor Fiddle, her voice full of concern. "What's wrong with him?"
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
Fiddle's laugh was interrupted by the girls call to him. "Oh, dear me." He mumbled as he hopped down, using his wings to slow his descend. He smiled at her and even though he heard Indo before, he reiterated his name to her. "Mayo Fiddle. Before we began waiting for you, I was telling Indo here about staying at my place for a night since we have no inn."
Ivol [A] 9 years ago
@Indo *---"System freeze, brain waves altered"---*

All around you goes black. Then suddenly you feel yourself being tossed either which way. You could feel cold splashes of water on you, and as you sniffed the air, it smelled strongly of salt. You attempted to hold on to her, as she was still in your arms, but you could feel her slipping. You called out for help, and could hear footsteps above, but no one came to your rescue. You watched as the very floor beneath you was torn away and a rush of sea water came and washed over both you and her. Tearing the two of you apart. All you could do was watch as she was pulled away in the black coldness of the merciless sea.

*---*System unfrozen, memory fragment received. Be sure to check your stats within the hour, and store this memory someplace safe. You're going to need it."---*
Indo 9 years ago
He leaned in near her ear. "Mayor Fiddle." He looked up to where the man was, almost forgetting that the shot man had wings to lift him up that high. That was one question he wanted to ask about. Why do people here need wings. Were most of the lifestyle in the trees. Did they even farm in the trees? That's when something came to mind, he stepped forward to asked the man, waiting to decide til he came back down.
Hazel 9 years ago
(I did read. But it gets lost and stuffs cos there's so much to read.)

Her breath hitched when he took her hand. She smiled, missing the warmth of his touch. "I'm better now that I'm with you." She spoke, answering his question. She began to open again to speak when the bird flew past them. Hazel gasped softly then laughed, her laugh mixing in with the man's. She looked up to where he sat in the tree and attempted to flag him down. "Sir. Mr." She couldn't remember if the man had given her his name or not.
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
(He's right. It's actually in the rules that if you're not speaking directly to someone then post to the room. Not a person. Someone didn't read. Tsk tsk tsk)

Fiddle's cheeks burned red when he realized the situation between the two of them growing warmer. He let his wings carry him up into the trees where he rested on a branch, watching the two interact. He turned to a bird that eyed him and gave a bright smile. "Young love!" He spoke to the bird the bellowed in laughter as it flew off.
Indo 9 years ago
(Because you can only tag one person per post. Post to the room so everyone can see it.)

For the first time in... he wasn't even sure how long, a smile crossed his lips and he began to walk forward to her. He met her halfway at the bridge and smiled when her hand went up to his face. He glanced at it when she stopped, taking her hand in his and smiling at her. "How are you?" He asked. He couldn't really think of anything else to ask her. He knew she was alright. He knew she was healthy and feeling fine. How did he know? Not even he was too sure of it. He just knew.
Hazel 9 years ago
(I din get the notification for this post but my name is tagged. Wut???)

Once she saw him coming into view, Hazel almost made a beeline for him. She was ready to go run and jump into his arms when the tiny fairy man stopped in front of her. She couldn't help the tiny chuckle that came from as she nodded a thanks to him. "Sorry to keep you waiting tiny man. I hope it wasn't long." As she looked away from him, her eyes met Indo's again. She stepped past Mayor Fiddle and made her way over to him. Taking in every single one of his dark features as if it had been the fist time. Once she reached him she held her hand out to touch his face only to hesitate.
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
@Indo @Hazel Fiddle followed behind Indo, not saying a word as he did. Surely the boy knew where he was going. Or not? This was his first time in the town of beginnings. Or was it? Fiddle stopped behind Indo and looked ahead at the girl enjoying the scenery. It was only until Indo spoke that he got her name. "Hazel eh?" His wings sprouted again as he carried himself across the bridge to the girl, bowing to her once back on his feet. "Welcome to the Town of Beginnings young mistress. We have been awaiting your arrival."
Indo 9 years ago
@Hazel [ We're joining stories. So you can just respond to both of us. I can respond to this one. ]

Indo waited and looked around until he felt something in his chest. It was not that same feeling of loneliness he had been feeling up until now. It was something different. "She's here." He said, the wind singing with him, as he excused himself from Mayer Fiddle and began walking in the direction he was being pulled. Eventually he saw her standing there, at the top of the bridge. "Hazel..." He breathed her name almost as if it was more than natural for him.
Hazel 9 years ago
Forrest and trees were everywhere. The slight wind that blew made her hair fan and hug her face and body. She pushed it all back and turned, seeing a passage. She paused and looked up at the trees for a moment, then looked back at the path. "Is this a sign?" She asked, as she walked down the path. "Is he this way?" She asked again, not really talking to anyone. She often did that, spoke her thoughts out loud. Mostly because she believed she was in tune with her spiritual self. And she often spoke to the spirits of the land. She continued to walk ahead until a small town came in to view. She stopped just short of a small bridge as she took in the beauty of the town. "This is beautiful~" She sang silently as the wind brushed past her again, making the moment seem much more surreal.
Indo 9 years ago
@Mayor Fiddle He looked at the man. "I'm not sure." He knew he must have sounded crazy to the man. But it was true. He knew he was waiting for someone, he just wasn't sure who. So to avoid having to explain himself, he turned away from Mayor Fiddle avoiding eye contact. Would he know who he was waiting for once he saw the person? Or would he be stuck waiting forever? Why did he have to wait in the first place? Was this person significant to his life?
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
@Indo Fiddle chuckled at the boy's curiosity. "Nothing but over grown rabbits who like to eat our crops." Fiddle almost began to open the door to his home but he stopped. "You are waiting for someone? Who?" He asked, letting his wings bring him to the ground.
Indo 9 years ago
@Mayor Fiddle Indo couldn't help but to chuckle at the man and his histrionic ways. A word caught his attention and his ears twitched. "What's a borerabbit?" He asked, looking around as if some may have been lying around. A small light flashed in front of his face then a screen appeared. "Ask about the farmer's quest." Indo blinked as he stared for a long time at the text before it disappeared. "Am... I going crazy?" The man's voice brought him to again and he shook his head. "No, I'm... I think I'm waiting for someone..." Indo wasn't sure, but he had a feeling he needed to be with someone else. He looked around, not sure why, but he knew he was not supposed to be alone. Even though emptiness was the only feeling he could feel in the moment.
Mayor Fiddle [A] 9 years ago
@Indo "What do you do here? Well lots of things my boy!" His wings carried him further into the town, and he motioned for the boy to follow. "You could visit our Taverns for a nice drink. Or head to the marketplace for an interesting trade." He continued to talk about his town as if he had no worries in the world. If you're a fighter son, go on out into the fields and see if you can get rid of some of those wild borerabbits. They like to eat our crops."

A message pops up on your dashboard:
*---- "Ask about Farmer's Quest"---*

"There is no place to stay, so if you're looking for refuge I would be more than willing to open a room to you. Are you alone friend?" He spun around to face Indo once they reached town hall.
Indo 9 years ago
@Mayor Fiddle Indo looked around and stared at the houses, not really seeming surprised by the man's wings. He thought the pudgy old man didn't look human to begin with. He let the breeze brush past his face, enjoying the warmth and cool he got from it. "Town of Beginnings." He mumbled to himself. If the name hadn't given it away, the the coziness of the town would have. This in fact was only the beginning. The beginning of what? He wasn't too sure. He walked ahead and looked around before turning back to the man. "What do I do here?"
