Hello Gohyang citizen,Gohyang has gone through many transformations in the past year due to high tourism rates and many of our former visitors settling into the town. To accommodate, buildings have been upgraded, new residential areas have been added, and new business facilities and tourist destinations are in the process of being built. With its quick urbanization spearheaded by the local government under inspirational Mayor Jang’s supervision, Gohyang has been promoted from a township to a city, a si (시). The notice was received earlier this week! The once quaint Gohyang-myeon is now officially Gohyang-si, under Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province.
What does this mean for our current citizens? This transition from a township to a city means more business opportunities for both our entrepreneurs and job-seekers. New facilities in recreation and tourism will be added to entertain both locals and visitors. There will also be an increase in diversity in the population, further enriching the culture here. Despite the changes, Gohyang will always remember its humble cattail roots.

With the goal to reignite activity and to expand the setting of the roleplay itself, the admins will be officially starting the revamp today! We will be adding a few new rooms, editing old ones and updating the general set up of Gohyang.We are giving everyone one week, from the period of March 25 to April 1 7pm, gmt+9, to update or edit their characters in relation to Gohyang becoming a city.
All writers are given the whole week to remove the inactivity mark from their character. We will not be deleting any existing rooms, so existing threads can be continued.
If you want to update your character jobs slightly to match the city, you may do so! you may drop room suggestions (if we haven't already added the new ones or have it on the upcoming list). If your character has their own smaller family business, feel free to upscale it.
The housing system will also be upgraded, now including apartment buildings, rental houses by the shore as well as the typical already-existing homes.
Please let us know under the drop box room in the town hall section if you have any suggestions to bring up during this active revamp period. Stay tuned for more updates! We will be releasing a follow-up announcement at the end of the week, showcasing all the new additions to Gohyang, in terms of rooms, rule updates, etc.
With the ongoing revamp now starting officially, we are revealing the new in-world nickname of the Gohyang and the new name of the roleplay, Calico Cove City.
