Concerning the recent death threat

Hey hey everyone! I actually wasn’t planning on creating this blog but due to not many others knowing of this bug, I might as well explain it to you guys. This blog is solely created to bring more awareness and understanding of how the user sent those threats without leaving behind a single trace. I have taken screenshots on how I did it step by step. Also! Props to a good friend of mine for figuring it out. If she had not caught it, then these threats would still be going on and on. P.s. soz for the low quality and typos icry.

1. So first off I’m gonna use one of my charas from a dead rp (rip ;;) to demonstrate how it is done. For this to work, you would need to log off your account. Upon doing so, make your way to the chara’s profile. As you can see, there is no way of you seeing their wall. But—

2. In the url it shows roleplayrepublic.com/character/view/(whatever the number is).

3. So I heard of this trick pretty recently that you can actually change view to wall. So in the picture, it shows roleplayrepublic.com/character/view/(whatever the number is rip).

4. Soon as you click enter, like right after you change view to wall— you can now see pretty much everything that’s happening on the said person’s wall or well mine lmao.

5. So clicking on the character list thingy, you can choose any DEACTIVATED character to interact with. For this example, I’m using my friend’s (with her knowledge ofc asdfs) character to post on my wall.

6. Asdfgf I just typed in whatever bian.

7. So I clicked post button and viola— the post actually went through and so once I log back in I will receive a character wall post notification from someone. However, I won’t know who sent it in except which character they used.

Hopefully this was helpful! I honestly do hope that this bug gets fixed. I’m vv sorry to whoever was targeted and I rly hope that user stops and reflects over the harm they have caused upon the individuals that were affected.

Whoever you are— what do you even get out of this? Pleasure? Satisfaction? Rpr is supposed to be a safe haven for many others and you bring your over here using such hurtful words and for what? I’m really disappointed in you. Words can hurt. We all make mistakes but you choose to send hate— you choose to press the post button— you ing choose to hurt others. Please try to be a better person. We already have enough of heads ruining this place.

(edit number two: if any admins are seeing this, i think for now it is best to delete characters instead of deactivating them. this way we wont have to necessarily worry about another threat. thank you bb oreo for suggesting it :")) 

(edit number three: irdk how many edits im gonna have to do rip but uhm just wanted to say that I have already let Nichiren know about this and I have already discussed with another user on whether to post this blog-- we both believed that it would be better just cause it would be more helpful for you guys to know about it. idk if im making any sense right now but if any of you think that this blog is in any way inconvenient, i don't mind taking it down. i care very much about everyone and i hope no one takes this method as a way of 'revenge' or whatever to inflict harm on others.)
