His name was given for the meaning to spread kindliness. Benevolence. Whoever suggested that name made Jongin think that one day, he would actually fulfill that meaning. That so called destiny of his by name. And when he was a little younger back then, before everything came to a downfall, he would have. He would have fulfilled it. But now he thinks whoever gave him that name was utterly and profoundly stupid. He was never afraid to say this, and when he does, people will always gave him the kind of look where they think Jongin is just really someone who is disrespectful and ungrateful. Others will judge him secretly, hate him for his so-called stupidity, and some dense people might ask about the people who gave him that name. And that, Jongin is shameful though he will show no signs of it, will bluntly say that he has none.
His adoption was never a secret. He thought of it as a phase for his "new" parents, that they only used him just to continue on with the family name. Or to actually please themselves into having a child under their care. His new parents, rich ones, were kind and full of compassion. Something Jongin lacked as he grew older day by day. They gave Jongin warmth and care, but too much to his very own liking. He ended up not being in the same page with them, and fell into acts of rebellion. Everything went wrong from him ever since the start, and so he thought instead of waiting for these worst acts to happen, why not he predicts them beforehand? Or more easy to say, take part in them than being in the middle of it.

That's how Jongin ended up with tattoos and bruises all over his tanned skin, scars protruding out of each exposed part of his body, as if eager to show itselves into people out there who would take one good look and think of him as a low-life. And if he was still living in that god forsaken orphanage, he would have been a low-life. But no, he has money coming into his bank account simply just by breathing around the manor of his. His parents paid him to stay, and Jongin was too apathetic to care. The only thing Jongin cared about was his skateboard and football. He was one of those jocks, typical ones where they smell like sweat after a day in the field, and by the end of it, they are surrounded by the sweet smell of alcohol followed by the sound of girls screaming beneath him. Jongin was a heartbreaker. Not just to himself, not just to the girls, but to the women too.
Jongin went through unlimited sins, just for the things he needed. Money. Attention. Title. He received money, many bills of them, and gathered many attention, and a title as the basketball prodigy adopted son. He felt like he had the world finally set. Or so he thought.
He stopped suddenly. And pursued sports as a major, each and everytime wasting his time either wasting his youth with booze and , as well as football, basketball, rugby matches. It was all to distract him. Because he looks innocent and kind-hearted, with his boyish smile never failing to swoon people and bewitch them, Jongin could do anything. In terms of adjectives Jongin was manipulative, cheeky, rude, and determined.
Jongin created a meaning for his name by himself. Instead of spreading kindliness and benevolence, Jongin stood with a meaning: an apathetic charmer.
