Soojung was born into an odd family arrangement. She faintly remembers her father, or at least she likes to believe that’s who is in her memories. Her mother said that he died when she young. She had a half sister, one who had a father, a family and money, everything her and her mother didn’t. She hated her for that. Despite the dysfunction of her family she was a bright girl, always craving knowledge and adventure. She lived her entire life in the human realm, only going to the magic realm to visit relatives on the holidays. When the opportunity came to attend college in the magic realm, she jumped at it. Young and cocky, not fearful of anything in her path. Destined to be a great witch.
The truth. Soojung’s mother was held captured by a hunter and sold to a collector. The collector, her father, would never allow Soojung’s mother to leave with his magical child. Soojung was three when talk of selling her, when she was older surfaced in the home. Her mother, killed her captor, stabbing him to death and fleeing with Soojung. But Soojung, will never know the truth.
