He was born into a two member family, just him and his mother. His technical father, knowing he was an illegitimate child, left his girlfriend and her son and went back to his previous life. This didn't have a huge affect on Yoongi, as his mother raised him well herself. Around middle school, they started fighting more. She began to care more about his grades and he, though smart enough to do well, didn't see it as much of a priority. He had more fun drawing and learning how to code at the time so that was what he did. That spiraled the constant arguments between him and his mother and, once he graduated high school, he took the opportunity to just leave and do what he wanted. (To Be Continued)
 
etc etc.... he made the decision to leave the gang but, as a hacker, had too much information. So, he left without announcing his departure and the leader got mad. Really mad. While Yoongi was usually the one to be sent after people, he had many people after him. Seeing as how the leader knew he was so good at covering his tracks, he had to find a different way eventually.
personality
There are two sides of him. The dark, unapproachable, threatening, Suga and the cute, happy-go-lucky, easily scared Yoongi. They're both the real him, just different sides of him. Before Inncognito, he was only known by Suga as his real self with the gangs he did services for and with the gang he later joined. He had an alias developed before the island which was-- more what you'd expect from his appearance, and a good portion of his actual self as well. Yoongi. On the island, people only know him as Yoongi who was the alias/real self before.
