Jasper was the only child of his family. Being the only child meant that he would have to do more work and have more responsibilities to get things done. Living a rather poor life, his family would live on a small farm, just enough to keep him and his family alive. Being from the Shira clan, however, this allows him to be cunning. So as a kid, when he had a chance, he would sometimes persuade merchants for money and food. Being able to think fast logically, he was able to out-smart the merchants easily. He continued this way until his parents found out. They were mad at him for doing such a thing.

One day, however, changed his life. It was night time and he was taking care of his sick father. He had left the room to fix his father a meal, and then he heard a yelp. He ran and found his father dead. At the corner of his eyes, he saw a snake that was slowly losing its form - meaning that it was someone from the Filaren Clan. Ever since then, he kept quiet to himself and had hatred to those of the FIlaren Clan. Eventually, he left home and went to Aurai Academy, not just to seek revenge on the Clan, but also prove that he was one of the best of his clan.
