with his father being a member of high society and owning one of the most successful businesses in seoul, a lot of eyes followed jungkook's uprising since he was born. the people of the city would mention how much of a bachelor he would be when he was older, and questioned early on if he would follow his fathers' footsteps and inherit the business when it was time. his own parents had their own high expectations - he would go to school to become something great: a doctor, surgeon, lawyer or business man, and he would, indeed, be the heir to the business. 

 

however, jungkook knew from a young age that, that wasn't what he wanted for himself, or his life. instead, both of his parents were shocked to hear that he wanted to become a writer, to release a novel of his own one day, and would have no interest or want for inheriting the business. he'd been given everything since the day he was born, and wanted to bring himself up in the world with minimal help from his family. 

 

perhaps they took him too seriously, because he was thrown out to the wolves and kicked out of the large estate he'd grown oh so familiar too. it'd taken time, certainly, for him to find his footing in the world, and he would submit exerpts and pieces to local journals whilst living on the streets. the people hadn't quite forgotten his name, yet they certainly no longer cared for his well being.
