'I should hit him.'

'No, I should really, really hit him.'

'But, they wouldn't want that.'

'It would be too easy.'

The tall, long-hair male rubbed the back of his head and maintained a smile that more or less delivered the message that he is and will always be better than this Kim Jongin. This guy didn't know how lucky he was to be alive. Guess there's nothing you change about stupid though. If it's stupid, it will always be stupid. Just as if it was weak, it will always be weak. Heechul decided to let Jongin continue to talk crap out of his mouth. He could say it was more amusing than anything else. He knew some things that Jongin didn't, which couldn't really be helped. Some of those monsters are going to separate. As they separate, they could either die or grow into something stronger. A group may seem overwhelming and a handful, but it wasn't as bad as those that got away and got stronger.

Those that followed a group were limited and ultimately weak. Heechul figured he would let Jongin learned on his own. They all did eventually - for better or worse. 'Oh please, you're the one who needs babysitting,' Heechul thought and walked around Jongin, placing a hand on him and lightly pushing him aside. They had work to do and he could care less for what remarks Jongin had to say. It didn't change the fact that Heechul was and is better. He turned his attention to their main suspect. The green dot that is more or less a human. Which made Heechul wonder and shoot questions. What were those big men in suits doing? What were they up to? Heechul had to take time to think, but right now, not when they are outside with flesh-eating monsters walking around.

'If you only knew the truth,' Heechul thought all smug-like. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and walked towards the human. "Sorry boys, but I'm quite not in the mood to party," Heechul said, then slid out a small container of hairspray and a lighter. He held them out and flickered a light, then activated the hairspray. A mist of fire carried through and rained onto the monsters. A small wall of fire formed. Heechul covered his mouth and nose with his lower arm and turned to follow the human with whatever way he was going.

"That's right, please, don't make this any easier for me than it already is," Heechul mumbled and shook his head, then hurried to catch up to the stranger.

Adaption, that's what Gongchan had been chosen for. Adaption was the key to success, and task after task that was how Gongchan had gotten through. Not that he remembers, but he was a lot stickier than the other, subjects, weaker, slower even. But he could adapt and that was a trait not many people had nowadays. Throw them in the forest, in the jungle, in the desert, in the ice. It was always adaption that kept you alive.

Gongchan was awfully confused when he woke up at the end of an alley way, face up and placed as if he was a dead body. He had sit up quickly when he realised he didn't know where he was, black eyes glancing around in the hope of recognition but Gongchan could remember nothing and it scared him. There seemed to be nothing around but the clothes on his back and pulling his hood up Gongchan got to his feet, determined at least to find out where he was.

It was daylight thankfully, and that seemed to make the ordeal somewhat less scary, but the fact that everywhere was just /empty/ had Gongchan always looking twice. Why did he remember nothing of this cityscape? Where was he? Gongchan could remember nothing of where he was, or where he should be for that matter and it thoroughly irked him. Surely there was somewhere he should be...but where.

A sort or sound pulled Gongchan from his onslaught of thoughts, and instantly the raven haired boy froze, pausing and keeping still as he waited for the sound again. It didn't sounds particularly nice, but Gongchan didn't want to run unless he knew it was bad... but then again he didn't want to walk forwards to double check either. And so he was left standing still, waiting for a sound that he may never have heard in the first. Gongchan was about to start walking again when he heard it, louder this time, and he didn't waste a second before turning and bolting in the other direction. He had no idea what it was. Just that these streets were empty for a reason and that he needed supplies if he was going to keep himself going around here. At least until he worked out what was going on. Survive first, ask questions later; Gongchan decided that this was a good plan.

Gongchan kept running, darting in a different direction everytime he heard that sound again. Eventually he came across some kind of abandoned store that still seemed to have a lot of materials. He thought perhaps it would have been a good idea to camp out where all the good were, but when the doors swept open automatically, he decided that maybe that wasn't such a great idea and that he should be getting in and out as quick as he could, before some of those... /things/ came in here. Gongchan's first task was to find a back pack, and then fill it full of supplies. Nothing too heavy, just enough to keep him going until he could find somewhere to lock himself in and work out what the was going on.

Food that was light and dried, everything un-preserved was off anyways and he didn't need too much. Not yet, and especially when he knew the aisle's of tinned food were still relevently full. Women's sanitary items because there didn't seem to be any bandages and they would do instead. The water seemed to be cleared out too and with an annoyed huff, Gongchan mannaged to find a kitchen knife that seemed usuable, and wire. So much wire. Gongchan loved wire, wire would keep him alive and so jamming as much as he could he zipped it up and pulled it over his shoulders. Slipping out into the street once again. His only problem now was where to go...

Gongchan felt a bit safer with something solid on his shoulders, it brought a sense of nostaliga, but from what... he had no idea. He continued on until one corner too many he was faced with a bag of festering flesh, and groaning and gongchan let out a mouse-like squeak, before turning and scampering like the rodent himself. He ran and ran, just trying to get hte image out his head, until he stumbled, tripping and face planting the tarmack and blacking out for a moment, only coming too when a voice called out to him. He blinked a little, groaning as he got to his feet, glancing behind him with a groan before wiping at his forehead and glancing around.

Get away, Gong Chanshik you here me get away.... Huffing his eyes flicked around. Monsters behind him, he couldn't go that way...what looked like people in front of him, one ambling his way.. He decided not to go that way either and darted left, finding himself in an alley but he could get onto the roo he reckoned, so he decided to work on that.

7:02 a.m.

The light in the room was dim and barely existent. But it was quiet. The subtle sounds of a coffee machine churned close by. A sign that the coffee pot was fresh and ready. The coffee pot sat idly on a stack of instant coffee. On the side, a row of twinkie boxes laid. Whoever had the genius idea that twinkies would last forever was the smartest man in history. Admittedly, they were not the best type of food to hold onto and keep to the side. However, twinkies were quick and reliable. Anyone could just grab them on the go and that was the same with the coffee.

Some file cabinets stood against the wall. Various doors of the file cabinets were open. Papers were crumpled inside the cabinet doors. Other papers lied on the floor where they had previously been disposed of. A couple of files lied open on the ground. Everything was covered in red. The same sticky notes that covered the majority of the wall were covered in red. They all contained notes and ideas. The same notes and ideas that was best applied to the outside world. If there was anyone that continued to exist in the outside world.

The young adult male released a couple of snores that rolled out of him consistently. His fingers stretched out, then felt on the tabs on the controls of the radio. His fingers curled over a couple of them, then they pushed down. A loud boom of music played off in the room and Heechul’s eyes shot straight open. He got out of his chair then fixed the buttons. He remained standing for a second and staring to the controls. Heechul slowly slunk down to his seat. He rested his face against his fingers in deep thought. Due to the large boom of the music, his ability to return to sleep was shattered.

Heechul flickered a stare to the bottom left corner of his chin to realize his mindless drooling. He wiped away the drool with his left thumb. Heechul adjusted some of the settings on the radio. He adjusted the frequencies then grabbed a pair of headphones to place over his ears. Some jazz music never hurt anyone in the morning. So, Heechul put on some jazz music for the next hour as he took care of his usual morning business.

Heechul switched from the music to the speaker mic. He highlighted over a part of a map with a washable pink highlighter. A radar sat in front of the map that had a layer of rings showing on the screen. His eyes narrowed on a single dot that he wasn’t sure if it was a zombie that wandered off and was somehow getting close one of his hideouts or if it might be another person. He had a good idea of Kai’s location and he knew for certain that this dot was not Kai. Heechul pressed the on-button and spoke into the microphone, “There is suspicious activity in sector F-28, please report accordingly.”

Heechul switched back on the jazz music, then set aside his headphones. He threw on a leather jacket then stuffed a couple twinkies in his pocket. He poured himself coffee into a travel-size mug before grabbing a can of hairspray, his explosives belt, and a couple of lighters. The last item was a caliber handgun. His style wasn’t really for handguns. However, if he needed to, he would use it. Heechul carefully walked out of the radio station and made his way around corners.

Heechul stopped at the corner of a street. He held a hand up to shade himself from the sun. A group of zombies were not too far away. He had to act quick and thus, Heechul hurried on his feet into the parking lot. He was ready to shoot and set anyone on fire that was asking for it. Heechul walked around the parking lot in search of where the single green came from, if it was safe, or if it was evidence the zombies were growing stronger. Heechul arched his eyebrows when he saw a familiar young boy. “I knew you would come,” Heechul said, pacing around Kai. “I saw a single green dot. It’s not good if those brain-ers start to separate. When you separate, you learn, which is dangerous. Let’s hunt this guy down.”
