The feeling of familiarity was a nice twist to the mysterious stranger who had now moved to her side. Neither of them spoke for a few seconds but Miranda wasn't uncomfortable in the silence. She kept her eyes on him and felt her cheeks loosing the heated blush they had held only moments before. She hoped the intriguing gentleman didn't find her unusual or awkward. The silence strung on for a few moments more until he broke it will a simple greeting. She assumed he was a dreamer since she didn't think she had ever seen him around during off hours but she wasn't certain. Then he spoke again and she finally knew his name which caused her smile to deepen as she spoke his name in her head.

"Hello Jongjin, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Miranda." She let her greeting roll off her tongue and half curtsied holding out her hand to him placing it in his. She couldn't help but feel a couple butterflies rising in her stomach. She no longer felt the heat on her cheeks from her earlier embarrassment and she could feel herself completely relaxing, feeling calm in the others presence.

Realization donned on him that he was being rude for staring so openly, and for second there, he caught the eyes of the gorgeous woman in front of him. It wasn't the first time he had met people with looks that could capture anyone's heart, but her shy, yet genuine smile could beat any alluring gaze, in his opinion. Snapping himself out of his own reverie, Jongjin returned the smile with one of his own, taking a few steps closer until he was standing beside her by the wall. Conversations were not his strong point, but from the smile she gave him, at least he didn't seem too intimidating, at least he thought he didn't. The silence between them was not suffocating, but rather comfortable, as if they were old friends seeing each other again for the first time.

"Hello." Jongjin decided to be the first one to break the ice, but all he could really think of saying was a simple greeting. He couldn't be sure if she belonged to the circus or was she just a dreamer, like the majority of the guests here. Even if she did work in the circus, Jongjin would probably be the more clueless one out of the bunch, as he would rather remain in his workshop to enjoy his solitude. "I'm Jongjin." He tried again, this time his smile was wider, as he gave small bow and held out his hand.

Miranda aimed to be a wallflower as she leaned against the wall, she tried to avoid making eye contact with the occupants of the ballroom. Going unnoticed until close enough to slightly surprise her, Miranda then noticed the handsome gentlemen standing closer than most others stood in relation to her. Most kept their distance but not this one. Their eyes met and Miranda was startled slightly by the fact he was actually looking at her. Her eyes lingered on him for a moment drinking in his features before she glanced down at the crimson dress she wore and wondered if by chance she looked funny. Embarrassed by the way she was responding to the simplest of looks from another she glanced back up at him and felt her cheeks flush pink. She smiled, this time although small and shy it reached her eyes and she hoped she didn't look as much as a fool as she felt.

This time not worried about her appearance, Miranda study him and found him to be even more pleasant to look at than before. She couldn't normally find the words to start a conversation but could never find the courage to break the ice but this time she couldn't even find the words. She remained frozen, leaning against the wall with the first genuine smile in quite a long time lighting up her face she suddenly say light where she once saw only darkness.

Parties of such grandiose had never been his thing, but he was obliged to attend and truth to be said, Jongjin only found himself to be doing nothing except the occasional visit to the refreshment table. He wasn't interested in mingling with the guests, but despite his quiet demeanor he attracted the ladies' eyes as he swept by them on his way out to the Foyer and out of the ballroom, drink in hand. Jongjin needed a break from the optimism that bubbled in every dreamer, and one even wanted to give him a toast for a job well done as the ticket master. Of course, he nodded politely in thanks and faked a smile, he was prideful of his work after all. People were still flooding into the crowded ballroom from the Foyer; ladies dressed in their beautiful ball gowns and gents in their suave tuxes. It was quite the overwhelming sight for someone that didn't enjoy crowds - like him.

Once he spotted an opening to the back, he weaved through the throng of people, pretending to not hear the calls of different guests and let out a sigh of relief. Jongjin carefully smoothed out the creases that formed on his suit when he noticed he wasn't the only one here, escaping the crowd. He was a man of few words, but the woman in front of him was stunning, she took his breath away.

[ It's okay. The length is just fine. I'm not a hardcore novella rper so it's all good. ]

Putting herself out there had never really been her thing but since she knew London would no longer be the back drop for her adventures she decided she needed to make the most of her remaining time. As she entered the Foyer of the Palace Miranda looked around nervously and hoped her inner chaos wasn't too noticeable. Plastering on a fake smile she hoped was believable she analysed the people around her. Her smile faltered slightly as she thought to herself about being trapped in a lonely dream in which she hoped surrounding herself by a crowd would bring her back to reality. As she took in the people in the Foyer Miranda just felt even lonelier, everyone seemed to have someone but her.

Walking further in the Foyer Miranda glided around all the couples and tried brightening her smile but she could never get it to reach her eyes. The perfect spot opened up against the far wall and she made her way through the people. When she got to her destination she leaned back against the wall and continued to look around as she kept to herself, she didn't approach anyone and she hadn't been approached.

[Sorry for it taking so long and for the started to be short. >.<]

@[D] Go Ara [ ACTIVITY ]

Amber wasn't big on dancing, at least, not with people she didn't know. She sat in the corner on a plush, ornate stool, dressed in slim cut black pants and a pristine dress shirt tucked in, black blazer resting on her shoulders. She flicked her short dark hair from her eyes as she watched the dancers spin and wind in and out of circles and lines as the music played and filled the large hall. Usually she was confident and calm when it came to situations like this, but she still didn't know anyone and she felt rather alienated, her fingers constantly fiddling with a deck of cards. Cut and recut. Shuffle. Cut and re cut. It kept her occupied and let her practice a few tricks as she leant her elbows on her knees, dark eyes still scanning over the crowd.

She'd only just got here, and it wasn't that she wanted to leave, she was just a little bored. She didn't know anyone, felt out of place, and the few times she'd circled the room and made small talk with the strangers around her she didn't feel compelled to continue the conversations. It was always so empty. Always "It's a beautiful night tonight." "The lights are wonderful." "Are you a performer? No? oh well thats, interesting.". Always the same.

She was hoping maybe she'd run into someone she knew. James from the corner store was good to hang out with but she didn't think this was his kind of thing, he'd told her he'd never heard of the circus. Maybe that girl from the bar would be here, or that performer from the carousel. So far no one, and she didn't know what to do with herself apart from sit off to the side and cut cards, the small pieces of cardboard flicking and sliding between her long fingers. Almost dancing. Mirroring the crowd of people as they spun around the room and the cards circled her fingers.

Freya left. Should have gone a long while ago, in all honesty. Not once was I an active roleplayer, and all I did was waste time and energy. I apologize for that, but thank you for what you have done for me. I hope this roleplay does well.
