The world around her slowed and, thankfully, she hadn't been too deep into her sleep, or she wouldn't have been able to notice that the train had come to a stop. They had reached their destination. Amber quickly slid from her seat, honestly too fast. Her body was still under a cloud of grogginess. She had been deep enough into a sleep that she hadn't even realized it had happened. She stumbled a bit over her own feet, probably looking like an idiot or a drunkard. Not that she cared. She just wanted to be off the train and in the city before the train could carry her back home. How stupid would it look that she would've wasted her and her father's hard earned money just to sleep? The idea made her stomach hurt and got her feet moving even faster. Before she knew it, she was looking at the city. It'd been what felt like forever.

Her body jolted as the train finally pulled away from the station. Amber was even more uncomfortable now as she watched the world pass her by. Her mind was consumed with thoughts of her father and if he would really be able to get along with her away for a while. It wasn't that she thought him to be helpless. She just wanted to be sure that he would be okay. With her help though, he'd been able to get sleep so much lately and a lot of it. He would be okay. He would. She convinced herself with a smile and a deep inhale and exhale. Relaxing, Amber's eyes truly focused on the world outside her window and just folded her hands together to stop fidgeting. Gradually, she began enjoying the ride.

Twiddling her fingers, a nervous habit she'd grown to adapt over the years, Amber's eyes were directed out of the train window. The second it pulled off, she would be seeing the world pass by in a blur. It had been a few months, maybe even half a year, since she'd last been out of the village. It was a weird feeling. She used to travel for school but she'd been finished with high school for a while. She also was always weary of leaving her father to his own devices. If she wasn't there to watch over him, Amber was worried that his own thoughts would invade and spread through him like wildfire. The thought alone made her stomach uneasy, but the trip was necessary. They needed some necessities from the city and, little did her father know, she had been selling on days where he didn't want her out of the house. She would claim that she was helping some other farming family, making sure that it was one he didn't know. Not that he knew many. This trip though, Amber was planning to even come back with a surprise or two for her father. The few hours she would spend in the city would be worth it in the end. She'd make sure of it.
