@jung wooyoung. xiaoting is still conversing with her members when her phone rings, notifying her of a message. she doesn't want to be too excited in front of them as they'll be sure to and wanting the details. it doesn't take long before they're focused on each other more. with a quiet relieved sigh, she brings out her phone to read the reply from wooyoung and it's obvious at how much it brings her happiness that she ends up grinning. "he's adorable," she mutters to herself before letting her fingers do the work.

@shen xiaoting. after knowing wooyoung for so long, the other ateez members immediately noticed the absolute glee he radiated as soon as he stepped into their dressing room. of course, after a few tries, the boys eventually guessed what had him smiling so big. so far, all he had revealed was that he had met a woman and might potentially ask her out if things went in his favor.

just as he almost spilled more information (could you blame him? he was excited!), his phone pinged, signaling a new text message had arrived. wooyoung quickly fished out the mobile device and unlocked it, opening up his messaging app and studying the screen. although the text was short and sweet, it warmed wooyoung's heart that xiaoting followed through like she promised.

+ hey, xiao! it's wooyoung.

+ you made it back to your room, i'm assuming?

@jung wooyoung. from the very moment that xiaoting turns away from wooyoung, her cheeks start to blush and she mumbles to herself about how she handled that situation well despite being a little shy. it doesn't take long for her to meet up with her members, and she greets and tells them what had happened prior to her arrival; of course, she keeps it simple by saying that she had bumped into someone, keeping most of the major details to herself.

she doesn't let wooyoung wait long as she whips out her phone, typing a quick text to him. it isn't long, and it only contains a short sentence that introduces her. "xiaoting here!" she nods in approval, adding a smiling emoji next to her words then presses the send button. with a smile present on her own face, she pockets the phone and proceeds to spend the time with her girls.

@shen xiaoting. "i'll see you soon then, xiaoting!" he called out. even after xiaoting dashed off, wooyoung stared after her with an awestruck expression. although they only spoke briefly, wooyoung fought the urge to ask her out right then and there. how was he supposed to be good and wait until she texted him first? after lifting a hand up and rubbing it over his face, wooyoung spun around on his heels and headed off to return to ateez's dressing room to explain to his bandmates the experience he just had.

@jung wooyoung. her eyes twinkle in delight as she watches him save his number on her phone. she's already excited with meeting up with him, even though they're still face-to-face right now. though it is different when it's outside of "work hours" as she says to herself; her phone is in her hands and she smiles at him, nodding in response to his words. "don't let me hold you back! I'll get to the girls too. thank you for your time, and uh... yes, don't worry about me, I'm alright. I look forward to meeting you once more, wooyoung." she raises one hand to wave at him before bowing and turning away to meet up with her members.

@shen xiaoting. "oh!" his eyes widened a bit before he happily accepted the phone and began to tap his number into the device. after saving it, he handed the phone back over to her and shyly slid his hands into his pockets. "i should probably catch up with the boys...but i'll look forward to hearing from you, xiaoting. and again, i'm super sorry for running into you. i really will do my best to make it up to you!"

@jung wooyoung. xiaoting's smile grows, feeling relieved that wooyoung accepted her sudden request. thankfully, her phone is with her as she takes it out of the hidden pocket in her outfit. "I actually brought it with me," she says, unlocking her phone before tapping new contact for him; she hands it over to him after, feeling a little excited this time around. "don't worry, as long as one of us have the other's number then we can contact one another."

@shen xiaoting. her request surprised wooyoung. he honestly didn't expect it to be so blunt, so...straightforward. but hey, he happened to like straightforward women. "we can definitely exchange numbers! do you have your phone with you? mine's in the dressing room or else i'd let you put your number in." he smiled warmly. perhaps this situation could bring the two closer together? things could blossom into a good friendship...or else, maybe even something more?

@jung wooyoung. xiaoting blinks at this man's words. as someone who enjoys the life that an idol has, it is still tiring and the need to rest is something she looks forward to most of the time. before she could think more of it, he speaks up once more, confirming his identity. she gives him a nod, acknowledging the answer. her grin turns into a smile, softening her expression with its existence. "I can't think of anything at the moment, but..." she starts before pausing, hesitating for a moment. she isn't used to doing this normally, anyway. "...wooyoung, could we perhaps exchange numbers? we can talk about it there."

@shen xiaoting. "you're like me?" he quirked a curious brow. why the heck didn't he realize that other idols might suffer from the same issues? some of his other members dealt with being introverts...but none of them were as bad as he was. "uh, yes! i'm wooyoung." he mumbled softly, a hand coming up to rub at his nape. "is there any way i can make it up to you? for, y'know, knocking you over and whatnot..."

@jung wooyoung. "I'm the same as well. I should've focused more... and I could feel the need of getting back inside, haha," xiaoting says with a laugh, trying her best to lighten the atmosphere around them. her eyes blink in surprise as he mentions her name, and with that, she could feel her cheeks warm up a little before a small grin appears on her features. "you're right, that is me. it's nice to meet you too... wooyoung from ateez, yes?"

@shen xiaoting. wooyoung immediately felt terrible; this woman had done nothing wrong, yet he'd blindly run into her and could've caused her harm. "of course, i didn't mean to, but that doesn't excuse my behavior. i should've been more careful and watched where i was going. i just...really wanted to get to my dressing room." the man looked at her sheepishly before his eyes widened, realizing who she was. "oh, you're xiaoting, right? from kep1er? it's very nice to meet you, despite the circumstances, heh."

@jung wooyoung. "ow..." xiaoting groans quietly after she lands on her bum. she could feel it aching, but it'll be temporary as to remind herself in her mind. her ears perk immediately from the voice and her eyes focus on the hands that move to help her before she lets him, taking his hands to hoist her up from her previous position. she glances at her outfit, feeling thankful that it didn't get damaged from what happened earlier. "thank you and it's alright, I'm sure you didn't mean to. besides, I'm sorry too," xiaoting replies with a smile on her face, looking over to assure him all the while.

@shen xiaoting. as soon as his group said goodbye to their fans and wooyoung was hidden behind the large black curtain, he made a beeline toward their shared dressing room. he might look like he's full of energy and bubbly on stage, but away from fans' and media's prying eyes, wooyoung was a full-blown introvert. other than his band and his family (and his fans, of course), he tried to avoid human interaction as much as he could without being too suspicious. yet, just when he nearly reached the door, he barreled right into someone along the way. "oh, !" he grunted, quickly moving to help them up. "i'm so sorry, miss."
