The original Alice visited Wonderland twice; once when she was a child and once when she was an adult. It was the second time around that she was forced to become the hero that would save Wonderland from the Jabberwock and its spawn, the Beastfolk.

However, in the midst of what was supposed to be the final battle, Alice was killed. It is said that that the Jabberwock was the one to deliver the finishing blow, but in the chaos on the field no one knows for sure how exactly she died. Upon realizing that Alice was dead the Queen of Hearts ordered her army to kill the Jabberwock. They managed to fatally wound the monster and it retreated into the darkest depths of the Malarbosh Woods.

But the war was not over.

Beastfolk continue to attack Wonderland, and now that Alice is gone the Red Kingdom holds the citizens of Wonderland in an iron grip.

There is no way to escape Wonderland. Since Alice's death all entrances and exits to Wonderland were sealed shut. This incudes all rabbit holes, doors, open windows, attic hatches, lake bottoms, keyholes, ovens; everything.

Life is bleak for most people, unless they're of high enough status to live in ignorant bliss at the everyday atrocities occurring just outside their window.

While many citizens of Wonderland are simply trying to survive, there are others who hold loftier goals. Some wish to see the war rage on until nothing is left; others are searching for ways to leave Wonderland and escape the carnage.

And amongst all this chaos there are whispers of a new myth, a tale that blossomed in the wake of Alice's death; whoever can find the Vorpal Blade that was lost in the final battle, they will become the next Alice destined to end the war.

No one knows for sure what is yet to come.

Everyone is stuck together in this catastrophe until it can either be stopped, or Wonderland is destroyed forever.

 

♢ RED KINGDOM

The Red Kingdom is ruled by the Queen of Hearts. She originally fought on the same side as Alice, ordering her Deck of Cards Army to assist in slaying the Jabberwock.

However, once Alice died, the Queen of Hearts' true intentions for joining Alice became clear.

The ultimate goal of the Red Kingdom is to eliminate every last Beastfolk and kill the Jabberwock once and for all. This way they can rule over Wonderland unopposed, as no one, not even the citizens, can match the power of the Red Kingdom and its army.

♢ WONDERLANDIAN CITIZENS

The citizens of Wonderland are all unique and have their own life stories; the one thing in common that they all share, however, is that they are currently living in the version of Wonderland that is under the rule of the Queen of Hearts.

Knights from the Deck of Cards Army roam the streets to keep the citizens in check. For those in the lower districts it is a bleak existence of just trying to get through to the next day. They live in the muck and rubble of the forgotten sectors of the city, some hoping for a change, others actively trying to make that change happen.

It is vastly different for the wealthy elite of Wonderland that are situated in the higher districts closer to the queen's palace. There they enjoy a life of luxury and are nearly completely isolated from the turmoil, ignorant of the blood running through the streets below them.

And further out still are the citizens that live on the fringes of Wonderland, against the edge of the forests housing the Beastfolk and the Jabberwock.

♢ CULL OF THE JABBERWOCK

The Cull of the Jabberwock are most commonly referred to as the Beastfolk. These are beings that serve the Jabberwock, willingly and unwillingly. Some Beastfolk are nearly the same as a Wonderlandian citizen, but with some added beastly features, while other Beastfolk are mostly instinctive creatures. But all of them are unable to resist the call of the Jabberwock.

When the Jabberwock calls on them the Beastfolk will attack Wonderland and its people with everything they have. Many die trying.

Very few Beastfolk have the ability to resist the call of the Jabberwock, though it is not unheard of.

Most Beastfolk live within the Malarbosh Woods or just on the edge of it. However, some have attempted to make their homes further into the city while trying to keep their Beastfolk status a secret.
