The lair of the Demons. Tread with Care.Β

Ren 11 years ago
[[Okay I was wondering XD]]
"That's a pity, then."
He said in a bored tone, watching the other play with fire. It was interesting how he could be so precise with such violate elements. It just seemed to be a characteristic of the Bosses that he lacked. Control. That much had been obvious when he went on his rampage. He had lost it, lost to the shadows, and they in turn had consumed everything. An event that would be best avoided in the future. Though the Fallen hardly cared about the lives lost nor the lives that were endangered, he had become this close to losing himself into darkness. And he had been taught too well to not fear such an outcome.
His eyebrow arched at the mention of his age. Young. Comparatively to the Demon, that may very well be so. He lost track of his time in heaven after the first century. Every day wasn't worth keeping, recording, so he didn't. Still, three thousand years was quite impressive. The Demon certainly must have had many opportunities to savor the forbidden, finer points of life. Ren wondered if the other had taken any of them.
He was toning down his aura, how much energy he gave off. Even the shadows that were flickering ceased as Ren contained his power to himself, deciding to use this distraction of a conversation to regain what had been stolen. Hopefully the Don would at least be able to entertain him, because he was fully intending of getting out of there. Even as he noticed with a note of respect the control Jongup had over darkness. Demon's control was limited, yet he could make it obey his will so easily. Definitely not someone to be trifled with.
"I have seen that and will be able to tell in the future, Mr. Moon. After all, my kind is the best at mind games, wouldn't you agree?"
He asked, casually sitting down and eying the other, ever aware of any sign of his next move.

Jongup 11 years ago
The side of Jongup's mouth twitched upwards at the mention of the destroyed buildings. "It was quite surprising, yes, but luckily for us every important thing in there was already gone..." He trailed off and raised his hand where a small delicate flame lit on his fingers, and he moved his hand side to side, watching as the camel danced around his fingers. "The only loss that we had really was food when a few beggars died in the destruction. Their life force was already gone by the time we found them." The flame on Jongup's hands suddenly froze, ice and frost encompassing the flame and turning it into a tiny ice sculpture. The ice melted instantly and the crystallized flame was gone.
"But they were worthless anyway. Barely had any life in them to begin with," he cackled. The Boss cocked an eyebrow as the question of the Ancient Laws popped up and he chuckled again walking into the middle of the room to stand a few feet away from the other male. "I doubt you would understand the Ancient Laws, boy. You're still young, these rules have been crafted over three millennia ago. I should know, I helped make them," he chuckled and went to sit down, a black chair materializing beneath him in time as he sat down in what was, quiet literally, the chair of darkness. Or more like, made of darkness. "But if you must know..." He motioned to the other boy to sit as ice crystals formed on the ground and built up until it formed a chair made of ice, a layer of first settling around the seat to prevent the Angel's clothes from getting wet. "Please, have a seat," his crimson eyes glowed slightly as he watched the boy, waiting for him to move. "I tell no lies, I assure you."

Ren slowly turned to look at him when Jongup approached, eying him carefully. Indeed he had a powerful advantage, but it also came with a weakness that he wouldn't put it past the Demon to exploit. He was also only left with the ability to stand there and listen, since the Demon was blocking the only exit ant the energy required to punch a hole in the wall was something he didn't want to expend right now. It irritated him how the other continued to call him by such mocking names that all seemed to hit a hidden sore spot, but his emotional capacity had been used up by his outburst a while ago, so he quickly recovered himself and resumed his deadpan nature.
"You know, Mr. Moon," he began casually, changing the subject, "It's interesting to see that this place is still standing. As I recall, there seemed to be an unknown force that rampaged through your territory and destroyed several buildings, leaving nothing behind. It must have been very startling, no? I hope there wasn't anything important going on in those structures, since everything in them was also destroyed. How do I know this? Well, it was me. Let's just say I got a little angry at someone for talking about that very same topic you're bringing up.
I'm really not like them. Those daydreaming idiots who continue to long for a glimpse of Heaven. In fact, I'd say I share a lot of similarities with your kind. For instance, my powers. Which you seem to have taken notice of."
He held up his hand, playing with the shadow snake that was winding around it, before it disintegrated right before his eyes against his will. He gave a rueful smile and returned his focus to the other.
"It seems I've lost this one and quite frankly since I didn't even want to come here, it seems that it would be best to just get this over with. If I die, I die, and i t was a pleasure meeting you. But tell me, Mister Jongup. What are these ancient rules you speak of, even if I could hardly care about obeying worthless crap like regulations and stuff like that?"

Jongup's sharp eye noticed how the shadows changed around the boy, and how they seeped into his aura. An angel that controls the shadows. How interesting. But if he thought that held an advantage over the Demon, he was sorely mistaken.
"Well, why let an energetic little morsal such as yourself leave when you so foolishly, and willingly, walked into our territory. There are ancient rules angel boy, ones that you wouldn't understand, you're just a servant, that address how to treat a captive and how to treat a prey. Being Demon's, we would have broken those rules anyway and suffer the minor consequences, but since you trespassed into our domain; we can do whatever we want with you. And even though you serve some sort of purpose /somewhere/ that benifits the greater good, being the pathetic little angel wannabe that you are, it doesn't really matter to us. So that's why they're there. Does that answer your question?" He sneered and stood up straight, taking two full steps into the room.
He sensed the natural irritation towards him burn off the other as soon as Jongup had presented himself, and he began to feed off it; smoky wisps flying from the shimmering aura and soaking into his skin, instantly feeling himself grow stronger. The sight of a demon stealing energy off a being; especially a non-human one, was really a fantastical sight; one of the many unknown beauties of the Demon world. But unless a demon was directly stealing a life force, no one but their demonic race would be able to see it.
"I'm not fond of my questions being answered with a question angel boy, especially after my honest one." Not many Demons saw it necessary to lie; another myth of a Demon. They were actually quiet truthful. So truthful in fact, it made many cringe in horror. But with a bad reputation came the stereotypical fact that they were nothing but good for nothing liars.
The Boss noticed that the more he feed off the Fallen's energy, the more of those shadows seeped into his aura, and his couldn't suppress his amusment, or honesty, any longer. "You know, usually the Fallen kind control one of the four main elements; but one who controls shadows, well that's very rare indeed. It must be very useful to you. Of course, when it's avaliable to you..." He trailed off.
Ren 11 years ago
Ren could sense the demons changing their position. After all, they were traveling in his territory, and it would be just as easy to make sure they never escaped it. But that wasn't why he was here, and until he was sure that this was a trap, then any acts of aggression would be made that much more complicated.
All of his precautions were practically thrown out of the window when he turned to see the Demon leaning against the door. The Demon Boss, Moon Jongup, to be exact, seeing as he was one of the more reckless of the Dons, and thus they had a considerable file on his appearance and other information. Ren's eyes narrowed in irritation. Of course he got sent on all of the jobs where he runs into these people. First it was the Vampire Leader, and now the Demon's. Now all he needed was the Necromancer's and his collection of experiences would be complete. That was for another day, though, since right now he had a rather pressing problem of getting out of there.. Maybe. He had been bored for a long time, and what was better than playing with the leader of the whole race of your mortal enemies?
He was powerful and not to be taken lightly, though. Very few could sense any trace of his angelic aura. It was usually balanced out by his shadow, leaving only a small trace that leaked out in order to keep him a Fallen.
"Why am I here? Well, you could say I was looking around for something important. The question is: if you care so much about me being on your precious territory, why are the exits blocking me from leaving, Mr. Moon?"
He asked in a casual, bored tone, not even bothering to turn around to face the other. The shadows around the room were growing restless, shifting as they tried to break out of his grip and devour everyone in the area. But Ren was unfazed, silencing them with a flick of his wrist. He was their master, if not by choice, and even the Demon Boss himself couldn't break his control. A pity for him, indeed. His powers of darkness were useless here.
Jongup 11 years ago
Through the sweet stench of misery and despair, Jongup sniff a bit of angelic purity, and he cringed at the scent. How absolutely disgusting. Why was there an angel on /his/ territory? How /dare/ they come and taint his lair with their Holiness. It sickened him.
Hissing, the Demon Boss stood from his fresh kill and his lips, a smirk twisting its was across his face. He motioned for his demon gang to set up a perimeter around the building and block all exits, narrowing the chances of this Angel's escape. They sneered and melted into the darkness; slithering away to stand at their posts. Jongup retracted his claws and walked slowly to the doorway that would lead him to the room where the imposter was standing.
He grinned evilly as he entered the room and leaned against the door frame, his pointed and jagged teeth flashing, red eyes glowing slightly. His eyes narrowed in on the boy standing in the middle of the room by himself; his golden aura almost blinding, although Jongup was the only one who could see it. His black, forked tongue flicked out between his teeth like a snakes' and he tasted the air; purity burning softly on his tongue. "Why are you here, angel boy? Do you not know this is Demon territory?"

Ren sighed as he moved through the dilapidated, run down alleyway. It was a good thing he wasn't wearing his school uniform, as that would stand out too much in this sort of area. Of course, he wouldn't be wearing that anyway when he was on the job. And indeed, a troublesome one it was. There had been reports of certain "activities" in this section of the city, and seeing as how the actual details were unknown, he had been dispatched to find out. Never mind that it could very well be a trap, no, he was sent anyway. A painful reminder of the nature of his position, but it made sense. After all, he was the only one of the Fallen who could turn the Demon's power against them. And seeing as how this place was their territory, that would be a very useful skill.
He continued along, ignoring the squalid filth and general sad lifestyles of the people around them. They were none of his concern, and not worth being a distraction. Instead, he simply pulled the hood of his black hoodie further over his head, concealing all but the fringes of his long blonde hair. The large scarf around his neck served to further cover his face as well as filter out much of the stench, and his ragged jeans were best suited to this sort of place. Ren neither fit into the place nor looked like an outsider, and thus he was ignored by most everyone. At least, those who weren't important enough to sense him.
He finally reached the place, an old abandoned industrial building that somehow seemed to still be safe enough to carry out such business in. His contact was supposed to meet him here, and if there was any truth to this matter, fill him in on some things by striking a deal. Or this was all a trap and no doubt he'd be met by some powerful Demon. As Ren stopped in the middle of the large concrete room, the darkness pooling around his feet and shifting as it sensed another supernatural presence, the latter seemed far more likely. Well, bring it on Demons. They'd find quite a surprise after messing with him, and maybe that would take the edge off of his boredom.

Would it be too much to ask to apply as Jongup from B.A.P?
