06.19 arrival of the blades —
In Character It’s been rumored that a secret society exists within the shambles of the city to manipulate the post-war civilization. Like most rumors, however, it’s been passed off as hearsay. However, with the sudden appearance of one of Seoul’s Ministers and Maltech’s CEO in the streets, it seems that there may be some credence to the rumors.
It’s uncertain what this means, yet it can’t be a good sign. Stay vigilant, and adhere to the strictest letter of the law. We advise all citizens to be on their guard. May God be with you.
Out of Character explanation You may have noticed that the usual ✓/✘ symbol has not appeared on some names, but a new symbol has instead— ᴧ. This is the symbol of “The Blades,” an elite group within society that controls everything: think Illuminati, but real. Members of this secret society have a number of abilities, including but not limited to the ability to break up matches. This may only occur in the event of matches in which one half is clearly more active, or vocally dissatisfied with their match (for a reason), or if a member of The Blades has been contacted by BOTH members of an active match in order to add to their plot.
Because there is a certain level of power that comes with being a member of The Blades, membership is currently limited and will only occur much later, if necessary, through recruitment. There is no application to become a member, as of yet, but this may change in the future if the RP should grow further and become more active.
featured congratulations are in order for our first featured couple, lu han and rohit khandelwal. since they were matched, the couple has been very active, and we hope to see a friendship, relationship, or interesting rivalry develop from them. We would also like to give a shout out to Jeon Jungkook and kim taehyung for helping to keep this place active.
fun stuff we know that sometimes it's difficult to engage in a chatroom in an au like this, either because people are afraid of their characters participating in crack-ish behavior where it may not be condoned, or because people prefer to stick to their match. we would like to stress that semi-crack in the chatroom is okay but also not necessary. however, in order to encourage a little more activity, we will be rolling out game rooms today. just because we're all stuck in a cyberpunk post-apocalypse, doesn't mean we can't all have a little fun. we would love to see all of you around more often, and definitely hope you all feel free to enjoy the rooms available, or request other rooms if need be.
