Hello and welcome to all new and returning members of our crazy little family. Our first week and a half of this adventure has come and passed and we are glad to see so many faces have joined us on our journey. The staff here would sincerely like to thank you all for making this possible and for helping us to realize our dream of a warm, caring, and fun place where all are encouraged to enjoy.
With that said, we here at Journey Into The West would like to inform you that we have more to offer than a nice and relaxing life away from the bustling metropolitan areas of the world. We are going to usher in bi-weekly events and an optional matchmaking service for those who maybe have a bit of a difficult time breaking the ice. That's right! There will be even more to do in our island paradise for those who wish to partake.
Starting on Friday, March 16th and lasting until Friday, March 20th we will be having our Belated Lunar New Year Celebreation and Cherry Blossom Viewing. While you might not know it just by it's white sand beaches, our little island boasts some amazing forests, mountains, meadows, and trails. Scattered throughout much of the area too are those humble trees that produce those gorgeous and flowery blooms. For this festival we will be heading into one of the remote mountain villages to celebrate with great food, drink, hot springs, and some surprises.
During the day you can all enjoy the majestic views of the blossoms and partake in the relaxed, serene beauty of the village. Once the sun sets, its time for lanters, laughter, and lights all through the night. As for surprises, you will just have to be there to find out.
Coming along with us on this Journey is an old and wise fortune teller. Ask her to peer into your future or for a blessing for the new year and she will be happy-ish to oblige. Hey, when we get that old we can only hope to still be as pleasant as she is.
When it comes to the optional matchmaking, we would first like to see who might be interested in such a thing before we implement the plan fully. Each pair will last two weeks and you can make it official at any time. Pairings will occur every week on Friday unless otherwise specified. Couples will be given short and cute missions designed to help them break the ice and for every mission completed you will get a small prize for memories. Even already official couples can volunteer to participate in the games with their partners and if we have enough interest, we might include couple challenges at a later date. If one of your characters would like to be included for this, please comment their names below. Thank you.
In other business we would like to throw this information out there:
-We are removing the character limit but we would like to keep the requirements for the first three. After that we know you likely care about this place as much as we do so we want to do whatever we can to ensure a happy stay for all.
-Recruitment bonuses exist. If you bring someone here we will give you another character should you want it and personal housing, again if you choose.
-Personal housing will be available for characters or accounts with 500 points or if you've recruited someone.
-The couple list will be updated as soon as everyone comments with their info. We wanted to kind of do it all at once or at least most of it at once because editing is not any of our skill sets XD
-If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to let us know, we love to hear from you
-We are looking to see if anyone knows how to incorporate a clock into a layout. We do intend to do movie nights and movie marathons so we wanted to set up a base time that everyone could look at and know when the movie they wanted to see was playing.
-There is an admin position available. If you are interested, please contact IU for further information.
