Admin Concern

It has come to my attention that some of our members are only roleplaying in dms, and that is a concern to the admin team. We understand if you would like to keep a thread or two private, for matters of sensitive content or merely having a preference of writing in private messages (as we know some people do). 

However, if all of your threads are in your dms, and none are public, we have to start questioning. 

The activity expectation in this roleplay does not extend only to the last time you posted in the OOC chat, but also how active you have been in character. If all of your threads are kept in private, where the admins cannot view them, we cannot determine if you've been active or inactive. 

Furthermore, this is a group roleplay setting. If you want to roleplay solely in dms and solely with one or two select partners, rather than embracing the public interactions of a public roleplay, perhaps it would be better suited to a private rp rather than character hogging and avoiding other members of the roleplay. 

 

If there is someone who makes you uncomfortable with being active in the roleplay, please bring it to our attention. Do not hide in the shadows because you feel stifled. We want you, all of you, to feel safe in Howling.

 

But we also want you to be active and engaging with more than one person.

 

This isn't an attempt to be controlling. Without members, a roleplay cannot thrive, and without members interacting, roleplays die. Please take some time to think this over, and again, if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, bring it to one of the admins' attention.
