Cartilage piercing?

I know this is a weird question, but has anybody gotten a cartilage piercing? I'm thinking of getting one which would make it my third pair of earrings, but nobody around me has one and I'm kind of worried about the process, esp since my earlobes have gotten mildly inflamed before

I’ve had it done four times for my cartilage and absolutely loved them. I did let them close. When I got them done you could still get them done with a piercing gun and that caused a lot of damage to the cartilage and made healing really difficult.
Now where I am it’s illegal to have it done that way and it’s needle only. I’ve heard great things when done by needle and appropriately cared for.
The things I would recommend would be
1. to find a reputable tattoo shop because they likely do piercings and will be way better about a healthy placement than some jewelry shop (where I am you can get it done in either place. I even saw a hair salon advertise piercings once.)
2. Get it done with a needle, no piercing guns.
3. Save the money and buy high quality jewelry.

I would rather have tattoos... everytime someone gets piercings they complain for like two weeks meanwhile my tattoos heal in three days lmao it doesn't help, but c: I would love to see pics!
