is it really necessary to mass tag after an announcement? don't announcements itself come with a notification? so like what's really the logic? (motive?) behind it? i'm not pointing fingers or ranting or anything, just really genuinely wanted to ask this question if anyone's willing to spare some time to answer?

because people like me who ask for their notifications to get turned off when they enter a roleplay, they also dont get notifications for the announcements and miss them unless someone informs us through a tag.

I think it depends on where you putting out that announcement. If you’re using the announcement channel, then everyone will get the notification. However, if you’re using a room, then mass tagging would be necessary because some people would have room notifs off, so they won’t know if there’s been an announcement
