There is a wave of au rps coming and I LOVE it.
But lately I've been thinking about my old times on rpr (a moment of silence for the old times sake) and I've went through a couple of documents I used to keep track of my characters. Aside from the fact that I had way too many characters back then, I noticed that I had the habit of joining darker themed rps a lot.
I'm not talking about mafia city au's or something like that, I am talking about zombie au's and post apocalyptic stuff.
I've been wandering around on rpr lately and I've found aboely NOTHING like that. Maybe I'm blind or or too busy and skipping over things, but...
Honestly speaking I've been craving a dystopian au for ages now. Or steampunk or something like that. Something dark that challenges you with the way you build your character, the way you play your character and the way you behave towards others.
I am absolutely and utterly in love with the rps I am part of right now and all the admins are wonderful people and all the people I've interacted there with are awersome but sometimes I miss being an admin and I miss the old dark and creepy things.
So I've been thinking about trying to get back into the game and make an rp, but I don't know if it will be any good or if it will die the moment I make it. Aside from that problem I could probably use some help running a place, so maybe I'm searching for co-admins IF I should decide on opening a rp (still debating about it because honestly it's so much work and all you guys should honor the dedicated admins out there)
About the idea I had:
I was thinking about a dystopian au centered around a society still (or again?) using a caste system.
People are either born into a caste or they work their way up. Or kill their way up. It depends.
The caste system should be discussed before building the rp but I've read a book (but it's been so long I can't remember the name) about a society where beauty is even more imporant than money and if you're not "beautiful enough" you are worth nothing. That might be a bit extreme considering there is absolutely no human being who is ugly out there - hands down - but I really liked the idea.
I've been thinking about different castes people could choose from (probably first come, first serve) and about a revolution going on against the government (always a classic in a dystopian world I know it's pretty cliche)
Frankly speaking I don't know if this idea is worth .
But I kinda like it. So maybe you guys can give me an opinion about all this!
