my name on rpr is amir, a name i derived from my favorite book: "the kite runner." i'm indian and the book spoke volumes of a world i remember seeing back in my home, and it struck a cord with me. what would i be if i grew up there instead of in the U.S. y'know?
i'm fast approaching twenty, a seasonal roleplayer, coder, and college student. i love working in customer service, and started many years back with my mom's restaurant, where i was a cashier. roleplaying started for me in march of 2013, when i joined 'sweet nightmares asylum,' 'freaks and geeks', and 'asylum for the mentally ill(?)'. i have many friends here who i've known for upwards of two or three years, and i feel like they are the handful of single-most trustworthy people i could ever have been blessed with. i am also blessed with a loving boyfriend, who i try not to mention too much on rpr - he understands and frequently is intrigued by the idea of 'AUs' and I happily explain some plots that i have going. on the occasion, he reads my writing and is more supportive than anyone else!
my first brushes with kpop were seungri, jj bounce, and mblaq - it widened to encompass suju, boa, f(x), and so many other artists (yes, especially exo - i regret being so bent for them) but later on in high school, i lost touch with kpop. i watched anime and now i have severe commitment issues with both. instead, i now use it as a way to make art. i love sketching (this summer has been a lot more stressful so not much sketching has gone on) and typically put my favorite au's down in the form of pen or pencil sketches! i also have a love for rap, hip hop, and anything with a thick bass; any language sounds pleasing to my ears!
outside of anime/kpop, i LOVE astronomy and science. gosh, i'm hell bent on learning and love school more than most things in life. actively learning and chasing knowledge is what makes me feel complete, and a lot of that comes from a curiosity my dad imbeded in me from a young age. i also am fascinated by semantics: especially words and their origins. what language did it come from and how did that word get it's meaning?
