If you are expecting a dramatic or sad backstory, i apologize beforehand, but that is not his story. His story starts decades before his birth. Two individuals on an assignment, never really working together before but it was required of them to do so in this particular assignment. With their jobs, they needed to be cautious yet they had to trust the other to watch their back. THE SLOW DANCE AROUND EACH OTHER, LINGERING TOUCHES AND WISTFUL LOOKS. SOFT AND SHY SMILES EXCHANGED, it wasn't long before their relationship progressed from being simply partners to something...more. they never defined what their relationship was but they had quite a while to figure it out, as their assignment was still unfinished. oNLY WHEN THE ASSIGNMENT FINISHES, WOULD THEY BE CONCERNED ON WHAT THEIR STATUS IS WITH EACH OTHER AND HOW THEY WANT TO GO FORWARD.  It wasn't long until the assignment is finished when the two decided to keep their relationship quiet, wanting to keep the stability of their relationship before showing it to the world. Therefore, when it was time that people were opposed to their union, they would not crumble and fall apart from each other.

They were like two peas in the pod, the more they dug into each other, wanting to see their most vulnerable but never being the one who pushed them to that point. No, they would rather eat their own arm than to push the other into such a position.

iT WAS TO EVERYONE'S SURPRISE WHEN THEY PUBLICLY ANNOUNCED THEIR RELATIONSHIP, AS ONE WAS KNOWN TO BE THE STRONG SILENT TYPE WHILE THE OTHER WAS EQUALLY INFAMOUS. eVERYONE EXPECTED THE OTHER ALWAYS WANTING TO ONE UP THE OTHER, THAT THEY WERE PRACTICALLY RIVALS TO EVERYONE ELSE'S KNOWLEDGE BUT THEIRSELVES.

When they learned that they were expecting a child, they were ecstatic and terrified. They didn't want to bring such an innocence into their world, they didn't want their child to lose their bright smiles. But they couldn't just up and leave their jobs. It posed more danger than to safely DELIVER THE CHILD AND TRY TO GENTLY EXPLAIN TO THEIR CHILD.

eIGHT MONTHS PASSED EASILY WITH LITTLE HICCUPS OR ACCIDENTS AND A BABY BOY WAS BORN, THEY HAD FALLEN IN LOVE AGAIN. THE BLOOM OF PURE PARENTAL LOVE BLOSSOMED IN THEIR HEARTS SPREADING TO THE VERY TIPS OF THEIR FINGERS AS THEY EACH HELD THE BOY. tHEY WILL PROTECT HIM TO THEIR LAST BREATH, HE DOES NOT HAVE TO CARRY THEIR LEGACY, NO. aS LONG AS HE IS HAPPY AND HEALTHY IN WHAT HE DOES, THEY WILL BE HAPPY AS WELL. 

THEY TRIED, THEY TRIED TO SPEND AS MUCH TIME WITH THEIR CHILD AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. ESPECIALLY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD YEARS. THEY WANTED TO GIVE THE CHILD THE WARM MEMORIES.  a CHILDHOOD FILLED WITH SMILES AND LAUGHTER, THEY WANTED TO WATCH THEIR CHILD GROW UP AS MUCH AS THEY COULD.  Their home, quickly purchased after they became married, years before their child's birth, is warmed with the laughter of the small family. Only a few knew of their house's location, ever so careful to disclose the location of their safe haven out to friends and the trust worthy. Once the birth of the child, those who knew the safe haven's location had a much larger burden, as a child was now at the location and if the haven's location was leaked out, the child would be in immediate danger. They never leaked the location of the child, the child who smiled at them with such warmth and trust. The child who trusted them without hesitation and the parents who named them uncles and aunts. this child is now known as Grey.

His parents managed to succesfully spend as much time with grey in his childhood until his middle school years before their jobs took them away again. It first started with one of his parents being gone on a "business trip" while the other stayed with him. the parent that was gone finished their job quickly and throughly as possible before coming home, and the family of three spent a few days to a  few months togther before the other parent has to go onto another business trip. The business trip started to become more frequent and longer, but Grey understood why. He just wished them to come back safely and potentially spend time with him and each other before they left again. He became used to his parents becoming absent in his life.

His parents started teaching him how to properly take care of himself since a young age, it started with little things and it slowly turned into them watching over him as he started cooking on his own and grocery shopping on his own, and the such. His aunt and uncles coming over frequently and also teaching him several things so he had a multitude of skills so he would be realtively okay on his own for a few months or more.

Grey liked to believe that he wasn't much different from his peers, despite his family was a little bit more on the wealthier side and his background. Though, he knew that he held much more freedom than almost all of his peers with his parents becoming too busy.

Because his parents prior knowledge that they were going to be busy when grey had hit his teenage years, they had instilled a sense of independence into him. While making sure that he knew that if it was a situation that grey could not handle by himself, he had any single one of his uncles and aunts on call, as well as his parents if it need be.

Though alot of the skills weren't put into such active use until his high school years, when The business trips became more frequent and Grey found himself home alone often for weeks to months on end. grey spent alot of his time with his friends, at school, studying or spending time on the internet; most of the time watching anime or reading manga. his aunts and uncles occasionally dropping by to make sure that he was alright and having a meal with him as they caught up.

Grey loves his parents very dearly, knowing that they were busy and tried to spend as much time with him as possible, but their jobs got in the way and he was in no way angry or held biterness to them. How could he? they took such careful efforts to make sure their jobs never followed them home. for their peace of mind and his safety.

However, because of his absentee parents, grey somehow found himself eating dinner at multiple differnt houses, from friends with their families to his aunts and uncles and he was accepted easily in their house.

it wasn't until his junior year, when he and another friend decided to cosplay for the very first time. It wasn't something very big, just a closet cosplay. Though it wasn't as extravagant nor COMPLICATED, JUST SOMETHING THAT WAS MEANT TO BE FUN.

Grey just knew how fun it was to cosplay and he was actively looking forward to the next cosplay that he wanted to do.  At his first convention, he was taken aback by how many people wanted to take a picture of him or with him. 

this had gotten the ball rolling and grey quickly found himself more or less internet famous and people became so excited when they found him at cons, wanting to take pictures with him and saying how they were his fans.

Kind, caring and easily likeable, Grey always managed to attract people To him. Humble and down to earth, Grey never had the intention to become famous, but he is now. With his parents been absentee, he found himself being unofficially adopted into many of his friend's families, many seeing him as a member of the household even. 

Grey loves to cosplay and is always going to be working on the next thing for the next convention.

a family man is what many call him. having a secure relationship with his parents and with his relatives to having a secure sometimes familial relationship with several of his friend's families as well.

Juggling his time between making cosplays, trying to spend time with everyone and going from convention to convention, while doing so much more. Grey is always on the move, always working on something. he rarely has time to just take  a step back and breathe.

though there is something much darker that lingers beneath grey's warmth and friendliness.

"look i didn't even want to be famous. all i wanted to do was cosplay my favorite anime characters okay. i dont even KNOW HOW I GOT HERE"

Friend: "Grey"

Grey: "Hmm?" *asks while looking at the character picture and back at the wig manniquin"

Friend: "Grey."

Grey: "What?" *asks while styling the wig*

Friend: "You have that event you need to go to"

Grey: *pauses in mid snip and slowly turns around* Excuse me?

Friend: Remember? You had the event scheduled for weeks now

Grey: But--

Friend: Grey.

Grey: *about to say something*

Friend: Don't go in your costest

Grey: damnit
 

After an event

Grey: Oh , i need to go buy groceries
Friend: In...our cosplays....
Grey: yes in our cosplays. it's on the way back
Friend: .... *shrugs* fine by me
Grey: Great!

That night, grocery shoppers saw Jumin [Grey] and Zen [Friend] in the store
