James Edward Quaintance, born James Edward, doesnt ever talk about his past. And when confronted about it he will deny. You can come to him with proof and he will still deny everything and anything you dare say to him. John Edward is his father, they had an amazing loving relationship and James would do anything his father asked for him without second hesitation. Literally anything. He grew up in a mentally unstable environment. But like all damaged kids, they never really realize until they are of age of course. It all stated at the ripe age of 8 years old. The horrors happened. James never did the killing, his father enjoyed that part the most. James, the little 8 year old, only helped his father with clean up. Chopping up bodies and exposing of them in acid. The smell never really leaves you, or your clothes, hence why they had to burn them. At 9 years old, James knew how to dismember, hide, and clean up a crime scene. Knowing the best way to wipe everything down to not get caught. At 10 years old, James learned that if you behead someone before stopping their heart. It was more of a clean up. It took 10... long... years... before the police ever caught his father. 10... long... years... of having to grow up in his environment. How many bodies did he help his father dispose of? How many horrid visions did he have to see? When John was finally caught, James was taken from the man and giving a new identity. Though he was already a mature adult at the time he was still completely confused. He didnt even know what his father was doing was wrong until he saw how the media portrayed it. How people would whisper about his father in the hallways. How horrid the light of his man was shown upon the world. James was the son of a serial killer. Everything he did- assisted with- all those people who he helped murder. He didnt know... He honestly didnt know. Personality: James is on the colder side. He no longer believes that love can exist after what happened with his father. He thought what they had, what he felt, was love but it was far from that. It was manipulation, it was mental abuse... It wasnt love. Love doesnt exist in his eyes at all, and a soul without love is a very very empty soul. And that would be the best way to describe James. A creature without love. And isnt interested in finding out what it is. He refuses to ever talk about or come to terms with his past. He would rather be stotic and cold, then deal with a wave of emotions.
