A distant relative of the king, his grandfather marrying the half sister of the previous king, having no claim on the throne, Teru spent his younger years studying before deciding that he wanted a life of adventure and joined the navy. Teru didn't expect to become Captain of the Navel fleet so soon, he would've prefer to stay as the first mate. During a fight with an unidentified enemy, a cannon ball managed to hit the captain and the mast. The crew was almost obliterated, only being saved at the last minute, when reinforcement hand finally arrived. After recovering from their loss, Teru found himself in charge of the King's reform Navy, and more responsibilities than he thinks he could handle.
