Hoseok was found in a wicker basket on the border of two packs, Gusu Lan and Lanling Jin. His parents had abandoned him, or at least that's what he thought. Hunters found out about a child that was created from two clans and thought of this child as a threat. His father distracted and fought the hunters, while his mother who had been injured was running with all the strength she had left trying to keep the child safe from harm. She left the child along with a messily scribbled note, on the border between his two bloodlines and ran in the opposite direction to lure the hunters far away from her child. While surveying the border, Jin Feimen found the abandoned infant and raised him alongside his own son Jin Guangshan. Even though Hoseok was a half blood, Feimen didn't care because the child was actually his nephew. He had smelled the infant and known in an instant that this was his brothers child. He searched for his brother and the mother of the child all while leading the pack and raising two growing pups with his mate. When he'd finally found his brother, it was too late, he had been brutally murdered by the hunters and on top of his brother laid the mother, frail and weak but alive. Because she was a Lan, she could only see the infant a few times a week but it was enough for her. She kept her identity a secret from the child and eventually stopped meeting with the child, opting to watch from far away as her baby became a child and then a teenager, and then on her childs eighteenth birthday he presented as an alpha. She couldn't have been prouder of him. A year later Jin Feimen stepped down as the pack leader and gave the position to Jin Guangshan and the position of Second in command was given to Hoseok. From then on, Hoseok's mother rarely got to see her child but she would receive letters from Feimen telling her what's been happening in her son's life. She currently is teaching the little pups in the Lan pack since she no longer has the strength after her mate died.
