And yet, it was the intoxication of the sweet lavender and the musk of the juniper which enthralled the alpha--his wolf of which urged the pureblood, a seduction toying with the wen alpha as the omega flinched. The sight within itself causing the alpha's lips to curve into a grin, wickedness of which was masked behind a gentle look of worry and concern the alpha held for the omega. "Don't move too much. You'll exhaust yourself." Toni sighed out, pulling back before his fingers trailed over the omega's jaw, carefully tilting his head from side to side while he listened--the beating rush of the omega's heart was a welcoming orchestra to the wen alpha who looked down at the omega before him. Yuliang was a confidant, someone of who he had grown up beside since the age of ripening, and yet--it was because it was Yuliang. Yuliang.

Lips remaining curved in a sweet smile towards the omega before him, Toni could feel the familiar rush. an urge to rut an unclaimed omega, and an omega as proud and strong as Yuliang, himself. "Care to explain what exactly happened, Yu?" The general couldn't help but to question, his body instinctively leaning in to come closer to the musk that was yuliang's sweet lavender and juniper scent. It was the accursed heat, the accursed rut that the two seemed to coincidentally share. And as much as a part of him knew just how sickening it was for him to indulge the ideas that ran through his mind... Toni was always a man who allowed for his wolf to take control.

Lips leaning in to just caress over the omega's lips, the alpha's crystal clear eyes found those of the omega's dark hues. The abyssal depths of which bore the stars and the solace of which only the shadows could provide, a soft breath left the alpha's lips. his own a caress against Yuliang's own full lips. "You're in heat."

@守护∙toni wen ᵃ Yuliang heard Toni dismiss Fan through the murkiness of his half wakeful state and instinctively a spike of fear rocketed through his body. He told himself that this was an irrational fear, Toni was safe, right? He wouldn't... Yuliang pushed the thought away as he finally brought himself to full wakefulness and began to regain his faculties. Flinching at the touch to his cheek, the muscles in his body contracted reflexively. Weakly he shifted his shoulders ever so slightly up towards the head of the bed, dragging his tired, useless body up against the pillows propping himself up further. His heart still beat uncomfortably fast in his chest from the slight exertion, he refused to recognize that the uptick in heart rate could be from something else; that his body might betray him. "thank you..." Yuliang pressed out in a whisper-soft voice, speech finally returning.

@二首∙wen yuliang ᵒ Once Wen Fan had departed from the room, the General trained his eyes upon the omega he had grown up along with. Whether it was the peach blossom eyes and lips seemingly carved of the finest jade, the hand which bore the glimmering imperial topaz ring seemed to glimmer beneath the light of the warmly lit room. the amber glow casted upon the second-in-command's features seemed to sharpen the soft facial features the omega bore. He had smelled it the moment he had entered that room, Yuliang's lavender scent entrancing the General within an instant.
Yuliang, it's okay. you're safe.
The General murmured, his fingers reaching forward to brush over the omega's obsidian hair in an act of comfort. Calloused fingers wandering down to caress over the omega's cheek, a closeness he hadn't quite gotten the chance to experience with the guarded omega.
You're safe...

Yuliang couldn't help the comfort the infusion of power provided, but as his core strength returned his concern for Fan grew. He should really stop... the thought slipped away again, his mind still struggling to rouse him back to wakefulness. Just lifting his eyelids and forcing his eyes to focus was a feat in and of itself. A feat he managed despite the agony that he was in, every muscle in his body felt like it had been pulled beyond its limit. Speech still alluded him and though he was awake, mostly, he still struggled to make any proper movements with his limbs. He managed to let out the softest of groans shifting his head slightly, eyes still unfocused and heavily lidded.

/still, I hastily withdraw my hands and take two steps back when you give me the OK; the sudden disconnect has left my core very close to empty

he stared at wen fan, only to let out a low laugh as he reached out to stop the caring one from giving more than he intended to.
enough. since you aren't of help, let him rest.
he paused, eyes flickering back to the omega.
i still expect to see you in the torture chambers, wen fan. do not forget. if you do, i won't hesitate to come find you myself, with or without your scent.

/keeps my gaze focused on the back of my hands, not looking at either of you as I try to weaken the flow of energy from myself to Yuliang

the alpha's eyes lingered upon the omega who had begun to transfer his energies between the two.

he hummed lowly in question once he then made his way to sit upon the edge of the bed, and in a rare gesture, he reached forward to press the back of his palm against the omega's forehead, eventually pulling away with a furrowed brow.
did he overexert himself again? i told him to take a break and yet he continues to overextend himself.

Yuliang's mind swam in the limbo between conscious and unconscious, his body feeling like a thousand dead weights dragging him down. He just wanted to rest; months of sleep deprivation schedules, intense training regimes, and classes to teach had left him at the bitter end of his energy reserves. Much as he loathed to admit it there was nothing left to give. Yuliang had never traveled in the darkness with another person and to try that after having already trained for hours to extend the time he could stay in the darkness. His body simply wouldn't cooperate anymore.
There were a few beats of silence as he felt himself be deposited onto a soft surface. It was nice to feel Toni's strong arms around him, protecting him and though he flinched internally, a small part of Yuliang liked how Fan was scolded for not fulfilling his duty as a caring one.
A sudden sensation of gentle warmth greeted him moments later, Yuliang knew Fan's blue flames anywhere, but instead of trying to mend this time they were simply a conduit for energy, a pang of guilt and fear rocketed through him at the feeling, what Fan had decided to do was incredibly dangerous. Fear drove people to do stupid things though, fear and curiosity both. Yuliang wanted to reach out, wanted to tell Fan to stop, that he was ok but he was bound by the limitations of his body and the dead weight that seemed to hold him captive in his own mind.

/I imagine you fussing over Yuliang when we arrive at his room and me just standing quietly at the side and secretly hope, no matter how unlikely the scene, that that is what will happen
/keeps my gaze lowered and stays silent, walking carefully as if on eggshells
/bites down on the inside of my cheek as the expected dark growl hits me; my breath hitches at the mention of lashings, your eyes on me make it hard to breathe- I wish you wouldn't look at me
/anger and fear are boiling up inside me as you yank me forward, your threat ringing in my ears but I stay silent
/stumbles a bit and quickly moves to Yuliang's side, my hands pressed to his chest as I let my own energy flow into him; I don't know what else to do, it doesn't look like you're hurt anywhere

carrying the seemingly lifeless body of yuliang and kicking open the doors to reveal the clean and orderly room, the alpha placed the omega upon the bed.
seeing as how you're incompetent in even helping your second-in-command, i expect to see you in the torture chamber after you tend to him.
the alpha spat, icy eyes on the wen healer. it will be twenty-five lashings. not only that--
he reaches out, grabbing the caring one and pulling him tight against his chest with a hiss into the healer's ear, voice rumbling within his chest as he spoke just quiet enough for the two to share within their secret.
you are to stop taking those scent suppressants, else i'll rip off each of your fingers, wen fan. he hissed, pushing wen fan to the bed where the second-in-command was resting upon.
