Initially, not a lot of people knew about this, but when he joined Mind Have Jun was already a recovering addict. Or he was supposed to be trying to recover at least. It started out around his last year of highschool as their band picked up popularity between teens and students, and they got invited to play at parties and events, including some college parties thanks to common friends. It was through these parties that he began trying it out and what started as an occasional type of thing soon turned into long weekends spent at a friend's basement under the pretense of band practice. He didn't think much of it at first, always thinking 'it was common behavior for rock bands', 'there were heavier drugs he could be using', or that 'he didn't even do it that often', but as he got involved with other users and his teenage angst hit top form, it slowly got too natural for him.
Being raised by a mother who allowed them their freedom and trusted their sense of responsibility, Jun was allowed to go out and enjoy his nights with friends, and even when he'd get home stumbling a little, nothing would be said as it wasn't bad or often enough to be worrying. Because of this, it was rather easy for him to keep his use lowkey even as it started becoming more and more frequent, and so it was only around a year and a half later, when he got home late into the night and in a terrible state after mixing heroin and alcohol for the first time that things began turning for the worse.
He'd completely forgotten and missed his sister's birthday and the girl had stayed up waiting for him to get home from 'band practice'. She'd heard him arrive and gotten out of her room only to find him throwing his guts up in their shared bathroom, pale and covered in sweat. At first, she thought he'd just overdone it with the drinking this time, but as she helped him to bed and out of his jacket and jeans, she noticed the bruised area on his forearm along with the small bit of dried blood, finally shedding some light on the real reason he'd been disappearing more regularly and for longer periods of time.
Of course, their mother was informed and they tried talking to him about it but again, he dismissed them both as being dramatic and made excuses as to why it still wasn't an addiction. The tension within their small family grew as he tried to avoid the two older females as best he could, conversations turning into heated fights whenever they did talk and ending with him leaving the house for a couple of days which only lead to more tension. The vicious cycle continued for a couple of months, the band slowly breaking apart at his behavior and the older women doing everything they could for him while nothing seemed to reach him. That was, except for that one perfect blow that his older sister managed to land with the simple question "I wonder what Mihyeong will think when she learns her adored older brother is a junkie?"
Ever since their father left, Junhee had always wanted to be his little sister's hero. A father figure for her. So the mention of the little girl's expectations for him was what brought him back home. He wanted her to have a good image of him, to be a role model for her but here he was. He agreed to go to counseling but chose to go through his withdrawal at home with his sister offering to freeze her semester so she could stay with him. Things went smoothly, or as smoothly as they could under the circumstances, and although he continued to party and drink often, he did his best to push away any other substances, turning to cigarettes as a distraction.
It was rather easy to stay clean while he was in Korea, considering the way it was viewed by society as well as knowing the implications it would certainly have in his career if he ever was caught. So as he stayed there, he stayed clear of it. When he moved to the US though, that was an entirely different scenario. Joining Mind Haven was as much of a blessing as it was a curse, allowing him to live off of what he loved and giving him the validation he longed for, while at the same time it set him right back on the environment that had him using in the first place. The scene that surrounded him, the festivals and events they played at, the type of crowds he ended up hanging with. All of it made it all too easy to fall right back into it.

While playing for the band he often used sleeveless or went shirtless, using tattoos and/or makeup to get track marks covered. Having it make it to the news was what finally let his family know of his relapse, and he felt ashamed for disappointing them, his younger sister now old enough to see and understand. After his drug scandal, he agreed to quit the band, returning to Japan to go through rehab close to his family. Once he was clean and ready to try and give life another try, he decided to enlist in the military, knowing it would at least help keep him clean for the next two years. Once he was out, he stayed out of the limelight, taking a job at DSF as a producer and staying clear of anything that could lead him down a rough path again. Currently over three years clean and going on four, though he still drinks ocasionally.

I tend to be 'slow' taking up to 3 or 4 days to reply most of the time but I can reply faster or slower depending on how busy my days are. I'm currently studying and have a some 'heavy' classes so there's that, as soon as exam season is up I might as well disappear for a month or so. I do keep track of my partners so there's no real need to poke but if you do wish to do so please wait at least 7 days without an update from me.

the two of you met in seoul after he moved here to try out for auditions and/or join the survival show. you could be someone he met on the show, or maybe you met outside. after getting to know each other for a while, the two of you got into a relationship. it lasted for a while before something went wrong leading to a breakup.
(meant to make it a little angsty for the past regarding their reason for breakup but we can always have it breakup when he is scouted by sunrise and moves to LA, but details about it can be discussed in pms)

ever since junhee joined sunrise/the survival show, he'd be working on his songs by himself. one of his favorite things to do was to grab songs and play them on his electric guitar. by bumping into you often in the studios, the two of you started getting close and working on songs together. sometimes, junhee would take your songs, pick up his guitar and make 'band versions' of your pop instrumentals while you would take his and do your own versions of them.
overall, the two of you are producing buddies. he will also often go to you to learn more about producing and get tips for his own music.

being a closeted biual, junhee barely acknowledges this to himself and would rather ask his company to set up a fake dating scandal than to have rumors about his uality. it is just something he does not wish to accept for himself and as long as he is into girls he doesn't even need to recognize any interest in guys. because of this, he always shuts this side of his brain off and never had any experience with guys. that is, except for that one party where he got slightly drunk and ended up hooking up with this one guy. he didn't share any contact information with this person, not even names and he definitely hopes the guy was a bit too drunk to remember his face. as years passed by, he got confident the other didn't remember him, and eventually, he forgot about the situation, but now here you are to remind him and leave him to wonder whether you remember or told anyone about it.

haven't thought too much into this one, but something happened within the group. there's tension between two or more membres, could be jun and you, you and someone else, or jun and someone else and one of them just snaps at the wrong time, leading to a fight in the waiting room for their comeback stage.

5. hair dye - chill, friendly - anyone OPEN
Jun was very bored during his days off. He'd tried everything by now, from livestreams to working on new songs to gaming and all of his other hobbies but there was a limit to how long something could entertain him. Out of his boredom his impulsive nature took over and he decided, why not try dyeing his hair? Knowing you were experienced with hair dye, he texts you to come over and gives you full permission for the makeover. Alternatively, you two are friends and just as impulsive as the other, so even with no experience, he trusts you to handle his hair.

3rd pov, para and multipara. But I do tend to mirror my partner's style so I do not mind if you go with your own style. I can also do 1st detailed if you prefer, no pressure at all from me so just do what you're comfortable with.
plotting!
I do prefer to plot rather than winging but I'm okay with having just a base idea to wing from as long as we have something so I'm not fully improvising as I don't want to mess up.
Your own ideas are welcome but if neither of us have anything in mind we can brainstorm something together. Your own pre-made plots are welcome and if I have any plots of my own that are available and you are interested in, feel free to take them.
reply speed!
I tend to be 'slow' taking up to 3 or 4 days to reply most of the time but I can reply faster or slower depending on how busy my days are. I'm currently studying and have a some 'heavy' classes so there's that, as soon as exam season is up I might as well disappear for a month or so. I do keep track of my partners so there's no real need to poke but if you do wish to do so please wait at least 7 days without an update from me.

1. ex - slice of life, angst/drama - female, any OPEN

the two of you met in seoul after he moved here to try out for auditions and/or join the survival show. you could be someone he met on the show, or maybe you met outside. after getting to know each other for a while, the two of you got into a relationship. it lasted for a while before something went wrong leading to a breakup.
(meant to make it a little angsty for the past regarding their reason for breakup but we can always have it breakup when he is scouted by sunrise and moves to LA, but details about it can be discussed in pms)
2. song making - chill/friendly - producers/idols/trainees OPEN
ever since junhee joined sunrise/the survival show, he'd be working on his songs by himself. one of his favorite things to do was to grab songs and play them on his electric guitar. by bumping into you often in the studios, the two of you started getting close and working on songs together. sometimes, junhee would take your songs, pick up his guitar and make 'band versions' of your pop instrumentals while you would take his and do your own versions of them.
overall, the two of you are producing buddies. he will also often go to you to learn more about producing and get tips for his own music.
one of the few people who know about his solo projects.

being a closeted biual, junhee barely acknowledges this to himself and would rather ask his company to set up a fake dating scandal than to have rumors about his uality. it is just something he does not wish to accept for himself and as long as he is into girls he doesn't even need to recognize any interest in guys. because of this, he always shuts this side of his brain off and never had any experience with guys. that is, except for that one party where he got slightly drunk and ended up hooking up with this one guy. he didn't share any contact information with this person, not even names and he definitely hopes the guy was a bit too drunk to remember his face. as years passed by, he got confident the other didn't remember him, and eventually, he forgot about the situation, but now here you are to remind him and leave him to wonder whether you remember or told anyone about it.
(open to make it angsty and dramatic, or have it start out angsty and slowly lead it into a friendly more chill connection)
4. backstage fight - drama - mind haven OPEN

haven't thought too much into this one, but something happened within the group. there's tension between two or more membres, could be jun and you, you and someone else, or jun and someone else and one of them just snaps at the wrong time, leading to a fight in the waiting room for their comeback stage.
(*this could easily be turned into a group plot too with more mind haven members)
5. hair dye - chill, friendly - anyone OPEN
Jun was very bored during his days off. He'd tried everything by now, from livestreams to working on new songs to gaming and all of his other hobbies but there was a limit to how long something could entertain him. Out of his boredom his impulsive nature took over and he decided, why not try dyeing his hair? Knowing you were experienced with hair dye, he texts you to come over and gives you full permission for the makeover. Alternatively, you two are friends and just as impulsive as the other, so even with no experience, he trusts you to handle his hair.
