( 1. ) What exactly are the hybrids?
↳a. as a hybrid, you're basically a clone of the original humans. you, yourself are also a human with the exception of a set of ears and a tail(depending on what type of animal you are) or other such animal parts. being part animal allows your character to also transform into their animal counterpart with the ability to switch between both forms.
b. some hybrids may be a little clueless to how things work, given that they're merely modified clones. other hybrids pick things up easier and are able to function more sufficiently than others. this does not mean that the hybrids are stupid, they just haven't existed as long as the humans have. they're more like children/teenagers in the body of an adult.

↳all of you are basically in open relationships, with the exception of the few couples who prefer to be exclusive to each other. other than that, you can allaround get all flirty with one another, though there are some who would be jealous of lack of attention, but that's all up to your character's personality.

This means that they agree that a romantic or intimate relationship with another person is accepted, permitted, or tolerated. Generally, an open relationship is when the parties involved have two or more romantic or ual relationships occurring at the same time either as a short term relationship, such as dating, or long term relationship, such as marriage.
b. it works as a normal relationship would, but you aren't bound to each other completely. It's like a mutual understanding that both of you would be seeing other people so it wouldn't be considered "cheating." But we don't all start off in a relationship with everyone necessarily. You can choose to decide that if you want when plotting with others. It's more like...we all start off single (unless you plotted an existing relationship with someone else) and work on making your own relationships with others, but they're open-ended, meaning that you can have romantic encounters/feelings for more than one person.
