The Dark Alley

Be careful. You never know what is lurking in the shadows.

Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Ravi "You aren't as weak as you used to be or sometimes feel like." Jaejoong reminded him and glanced down to see the wound starting to close already. Thank goodness for their vastly accelerated healing because he didn't exactly want to use his powers if he didn't have to. The dark hunters had to learn to cope and handle things mostly on their own. Playing guard-god wasn't a big deal for Jae though and he didn't mind covering them while they healed.

With a light laugh he tapped Ravi's shoulder to get his attention. "If it hurts it means you are still alive. Just try not to verify it so much next time." The god joked and glanced around the alley. It seemed weird that they would leave after they had so grievously wounded a hunter. Where would they go and why?
Ravi 9 years ago
@Jaejoong The understanding smile on Jaejoong's face drove back the doubt that had begun to grow in the back of Ravi's mind. It was true that he hadn't been a dark hunter for very long, but this new life was a difficult thing to adjust to. A life of hunting and getting your kicked by freaky creatures every night. He nodded along with what the god said. There was one hell of a learning curve that Ravi was going through and it would take time. He just had to remember that.
The man assessed his current physical capability and nodded again. God, his head was gonna fall off if he kept rattling it around like that. "I feel a lot better he said." His dizziness had sank back to the point that he didn't want to vomit just from trying to focus his vision. His eyebrows furrowed as he took a deep breath to settle the burning in his lungs. It stunk horribly. With a disgruntled expression he looked around and ran a hand over his face. Gross.
Dara [A] 9 years ago
@Xiumin As soon as she was changed she made a quick check to see that she had enough space in the alley for her now massive body. There was just enough room for her to spread her wings and take flight which was the entire goal to begin with. The dragonswan had to get him to the safety of the Sanctuary and that was her only priority. Well that and not being seen by any humans so she had to make it fast.

Seeing the weak male attempting to walk made her sad and she reached out to gently take him in her clawed hands. Making sure not to hit any of the major wounds that she could see she lifted him up and cradled him in her arms almost like a baby. Once he was settled she carefully spread her wings and crouched before taking flight.

With a rush of wind she was in the sky and heading towards the rooftop of the Sanctuary. It wasn't that long of a flight and before too long she was circling the building. Because she and her family were dragons when the Sanctuary was built they had a large area for landing and taking off put on the roof. At times like these she was glad that it was there and she could have grinned if she had touched down. Very carefully she set the injured male on the ground and began to change back.

@Dara The sound of a womans voice met his ears and he looked up into the face of the pretty woman whom he spoken to a few nights before at Sanctuary, Dara, he thought he remembered her name to be. A faint pained smile crossed his face and he nodded slightly, his vision blurring in and out.

When she shoved the clothes into his hands, he groaned slightly with the pain as the fabric scraped across the raw skin pushing the glass deeper into his flesh. The jolt was enough to keep him conscious though, and he shifted the fabric so that it was cradled in the crook of his good arm, hands shaking too violently to be of much use.

As the Dragoness transformed Xiumin did his best to stand, pushing against the wall to try and untangle the mangled, battered mess that was his legs. Every muscle screamed in agony and he did his best keep standing, teeth clenched in resistance of the pain. Placing one trembling foot in front of the other he moved towards her but fell to his knees twice before he managed the short walk to the dragons flank.
Dara [A] 9 years ago
@Xiumin [] That is completely fine

As soon as she was sure that the others had left she sheathed her knives and turned back to the person they were brutalizing. He was in bad shape and she could tell that he had lost a lot of blood. There was no choice but to move him before they attracted more attention than they could handle. The last thing they needed was a pack of daimons trying to capitalize on his weakness.

"Hey, hey." she cooed as she knelt beside him and tried to get him to focus just a little bit. "I am going to need your help to get you somewhere safe, alright?" The dragonswan started stripping down and handed him all of her clothes. It occurred to her that the best and fastest way to get him same was to carry him to Sanctuary. The easiest way for her to do that was to fly him there and for that she needed to change.

"What I need you to do is hold onto this stuff and I will take care of the rest." she explained and stepped back to change. Her ivory skin darkened and turned into jet black scales. The bones in her body broke and shifted as her muscles moved to accommodate them. Claws grew from her fingers and toes as her fangs elongated from her teeth. Before too long she was a powerful dragon, ready to carry him off to safety.

@Dara (I can't give much because he is fading in and out)
Xiumin gasped in pain, in a trembling breath as he regained some semblance of consciousness, he was tucked into a tight ball against the wall of the alley and his body refused to move from its position. His suit jacket was torn, the shreds hanging from his limbs as the white dress shirt beneath slowly darkened to crimson as blood welled from his injuries.

He did his best to control the violent shaking that was beginning to set in as his body tumbled into shock... Once his muscles began to work again he pushed himself into a sitting position cradling the shoulder that had been dislocated during the fight.

His vision faded in and out but he looked down at his hands palms torn open and bleeding from the glass that he had fallen into... He struggled to maintain his consciousness as the adrenaline that had kept him from feeling pain began to ebb.
Dara [A] 9 years ago
@Xiumin As the men her she was less than impressed and couldn't stop the smirk as is spread across her face. They might have been bigger and stronger than she but her size was something she had turned to an advantage and with that came speed. "Clubbing isn't really my kind of party." she replied calmly as she readied herself for their attack. Her legs were shoulder-width apart and she held her knives tightly as the rush came.

A battle-cry came from her as she met the first one head-on. The pommel of her blade connected with his chest as she slipped under his swing. One of the others managed to hit her in the ribs before she dropped and took his legs out from underneath him. Her breaths stung from the blow but the adrenaline more than covered it as she rolled out of his reach.

In one smooth movement she got to her feet again and round-house-kicked the one in his bloody cheek. Dara could feel the bones beneath give way from the force and she knew she had probably shattered it. The fourth grabbed hold of her but that proved to be just as dangerous as anything else. She laughed wickedly as she hit him in the head with her own, breaking his nose on her forehead and he immediately dropped her again.

"You all had better run before I get really angry." she growled and stepped back from them, twirling her knives menacingly in her fingers. "Right now I am not going for the kill and I could have so you should be grateful. As you run back to your homes you should thank me for sparing you." It was nearly and order an each of the males looked at each other as they held their wounds before they nodded. As a team they huddled together, supported the ones she had dinged up more and started to leave the alley. Dara cleared as if they were forgetting something and them mumbled their thanks.
Xiumin 9 years ago
@Dara It wasn't long before his consciousness began to falter, eyes rolling in his head. He was losing a lot of blood, that he could tell. But, as outnumbered as he was there was nothing he could do but fight back. Despite the miserable existence he was forced into he was not yet ready to die. There were people who still needed him, who would be lost without another member of the flock.

With herculean effort he brought his arms up and in front of his face allowing his talons to break the skin of his fingertips. With a desperate swipe he caught one of his assailants on the cheek. The razor sharp claws connected with skin and he could feel the flesh tearing leaving three long bloody stripes across his attackers face.

The attacker shrieked and backed away clutching his bloody face. "You will pay for that!" he screamed as the others lunged forward. It was then that Xiumin heard a female voice and his attackers attention was drawn away for a few moments.

"Hey there pretty lady," one of the men sneered "don't you have a club to get to?" another said as they her, Xiumin momentarily forgotten as he braced himself against the wall. "This is private business, dragon. Let us tend to our own" the third one hissed from across the alley, still clutching his mangled face. Xiumin heard her say something and one of the men roared in outrage lunging toward her. Xiumin lifted his nose and caught her scent on the wind; dragonfire and Sanctuary.

Xiumin could no longer support himself and he slid into a crouched position against the wall cursing his inability to help Dara in any way. The last thought that flicked through his mind before he faded out of consciousness was a miserable thank you...
Dara [A] 9 years ago
@Xiumin The soft urban din filled her ears as the dragonswan walked around the streets. Her breath floated in front of her face and hung in the cold air, a misty form in the strange yellow lights of the street. Each step of her booted feet echoed up the brick and stone walls of the buildings on each side and out into the seemingly endless void of night. Although chilly it was calm and clear, a beautiful opportunity to enjoy being outside before the weather made it otherwise.

With the increase of daimons into the city it had become harder for Dara to take some time for herself. Every night seemed to bring about new obstacles and concerns that needed to be dealt with right away. From backing up dark-hunters, running supplies, organizing meetings, tracking down slayers, breaking up fights, and general maintenance of the bar she had been very busy. Some days she only had enough time to shower and change for the next morning to herself, barely catching an hour's worth of sleep.

This was one of those days.

Dara was walking towards one of the night markets to pick up some odds and ends she needed for the kitchen at the Sanctuary. It would have been faster to drive but she needed the break and the cold air helped to keep her awake. If it weren't for these little escapes she had throughout the last few weeks then she was sure she would have pulled all of her hair out and torched half of the city.

Putting her hands in her pockets as she turned a corner her keen ears picked up something strange. Not necessarily an anomaly but definitely a sound that shouldn't belong in the city: fighting. Even from where she was she could hear the sounds of fists connecting with flesh and the clang of metal. Now in her position she had two options, fight or flee, but only one ever truly occurred to her: fight.

Using her enhanced senses and speed she a dime to follow the sounds. She ran fast and as soon as she saw the fray she reached behind her to pull her daggers out of her belt. "Hey!" the dragonswan called, her eyes flaring in anger as what was happening truly registered for her. A faint scent of the mountains and feathers came to her and she knew immediately who she was dealing with. "I had no idea that your skills were so pathetic you had to gang up 4 to 1 on a guy!" And just to twist the knife more she added an insult to hurt any were-hunter male. "Or what? You fellas too impotent to take care of things on your own?"
Xiumin 9 years ago
(restart for dara :))
Xiumin was on his way back to his small apartment after a long days work. He had stopped to pick up some groceries after work to refill his barren refrigerator. He was weighted down, a bag of groceries in each arm, his briefcase slung haphazardly over his shoulder, wrinkling his once well ironed suit jacket.

He hated this existence, the day to day grind of his boring paper pusher job. He longed for the mountains, for the chill of the high air, of the nights that seemed to never end. He was so lost and the depression that had tinged his thoughts for the better part of the last year only seemed to make the time drag forward at a snails pace. The clan elders had not been kind in their verdict, to be exiled he thought, was worse than death.

For Xiumin, it was like being stripped of his wings unable to be one with himself, stuck in the miserable day to day charade of being human. Was this a just punishment? he thought forlornly. His only respite came in the form of his monthly treks into the woods when he shed his human skin and soared into the night sky finally at peace with himself, but those treks also screamed danger. The daimon population had been steadily increasing and Xiumin knew that his treks into the woods would soon be limited by the dangers they presented. The Gerakian was so lost in thought that he didn't notice the four men who had trailed him from the convenience store.

When he entered the small alley not far from his home his soon to be attackers saw an opportune moment and moved in on him. "hey X-ile!" they shouted, " the elders called, they said it was too easy for you to walk away" he turned to face them, only to find the nearest mere inches from his face bat raised above his head. Without thinking Xiumin dropped into a crouch and swung his leg out to knock the other off of his feet. In the few seconds it took for the assailant to realize what had happened, xiumin had dropped the two bags of groceries and his briefcase to the ground and backed up to the wall of the small alley.

He couldn't run from this, they would just keep coming so instead he stood his ground. "What do you want from me?" he asked in an inflectionless voice. "we've come a long way to make something right...to correct the wrong the elders made when exiling you" They moved closer, surrounding him as they pressed in. "You should have died when you helped that traitor." There was no point arguing he couldn't change their minds and he knew it. Having traveled such a distance from the mountains there convictions holding true the whole time.

It was then that the beating began in earnest, the one closest to him jabbed the end of his bat into Xiumin's ribs, hard. He doubled over at the intense pain that the kidney jab delivered but straightened moments later to knock the bat from the attackers hands.

The man hissed in anger and as though in sink all four men began their attack on Xiumin; everything was a blur, despite blocking many of their attacks he was outnumbered. With a blinding spike of pain one of the men landed a solid blow to his jaw, then grabbing Xiumin by the collar a moment later he through the now ragdoll like man across the alley.

He landed with a bang against an old metal trash can that tipped onto him as he fell spilling shards of glass everywhere. Not more than 10 seconds later one of the men was on him again fists striking into his bloody face and bruised sides again and again, grinding glass shards into his skin as he went...

@Ravi At the dark-hunter's sudden outburst all Jaejoong could do was smile and watch. If nothing else Ravi understood how serious the whole thing was and that he was passionate about his new calling. "It's fine, you are still here and still breathing. You will learn from this and not do it again in that way." he replied soothingly. "This sort of thing is fairly common but you can work through this and get better. Next time one of those blonde freaks tries to ambush you like that you will send them right to the hot place."

The god pulled back one of the bandages and nodded as it had already begun to heal. At least Artemis got that part right and his dark-hunters weren't just caught in regular human bodies with all of the same frailties. "How are you feeling though? Is it getting better?" he asked and looked down at Ravi.
Ravi 9 years ago
@Jaejoong The dark-hunter shook his head, "no I- tried to chase it down, but... Those ers ambushed me!" as he talked through the remainder of his memory, Ravi's expression soured noticeably. The fact that he had walked right into such a dirty trick made him dizzyingly angry. It was fairly rare for the man to get angry, even more so for him to yell or express his anger in any way. Part of him felt ashamed of his little outburst when he realized that Jaejoong was still there. Sheepishly, he looked back up at the god, before leaning his head back against the brick wall behind him. He couldn't find words, so he just sighed and closed his eyes, willing the aching and stinging in his bod to go away.
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Ravi Looking at the crushed phone Jaejoong shook his head. At least he had a few hours to sit before the sun rose and Ravi should ambulatory by then. With any luck the god wouldn't have to use his powers or hand out any favors for things to resolve. Of course that probably wouldn't be the case but he had to hope.

"Only one?" he asked and furrowed his brow. That was unusual indeed because daimons traveled in pairs or even numbered groups. "Most daimons look alike so I doubt I would be able to pick that one out from a crowd of them. Honestly it doesn't much matter because we have to kill them all anyway. Did you at least kill or wound the bastard?"
Ravi 9 years ago
@Jaejoong Ravi felt around his in his pocket for his phone and pulled the rectangular device out to check the time. "Little after midnight." he said, showing Jaejoong the badly cracked screen. "And I didn't call you 'cause I didn't have time to..." he chuckled a bit and started to explain as best he could.
The hunter started explaining how he had been on patrol and encountered a daimon. When he had engaged it, it was "a helluva lot stronger than I had thought" Ravi so eloquently described. He noted the cross streets where he encountered the daimon, but wasn't able to give a very good description of what the creature looked like.
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Ravi "We all up sometimes but yours isn't so bad." Jaejoong said with an encouraging smile as he continued to apply the bandages. There were some deep gashes and cuts but nothing that couldn't be fixed given enough time. "Just tell me what happened, in as best the detail as you can and why you didn't call me to come help you."

The god paused for a second and considered just where to take Ravi to convalesce. Of course he could always go the Sanctuary and Dara would take care of him but that was on the other end of town. He knew if he called her she would come pick him up but he already owed the dragonswan more than a few favors. "Do you happen to know the time?"
Ravi 9 years ago
@Jaejoong The dark-hunter's eyes drifted open. A pair of deep blue orbs and a familiar face crowded his vision. "Oh hey..." he said drowsily looking at the god before him. Ravi studied Jaejoong's concerned expression and felt a weight settle on his chest. Oh no, he never wanted to see that look. The look that Jaejoong got when something really bad was happening. Ravi hated that look. He couldn't help the frown that tugged the corners of his mouth. "I'm sorry. I ed up..." was all he could really say as an explanation. With his eyes fixed on the pile of rubbish he sat on, Ravi let the god bandage him up; not really able to find words.
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Ravi Patrols had been stepped up in the city with the increase of daimons on the streets but he knew that he didn't have enough dark-hunters to adequately cover it. To try and make up for the lack of troops he had taken it upon himself to help personally, not something the god normally liked to do, but it was too dangerous to let the dark-hunters try and cover it themselves. Even worse than the lack of troops was that many of them were new and had next to no training but he didn't have the time. People were dying and souls were being stolen so he couldn't dally.

Jaejoong was moving through the back alleys trying to provide whatever support he could when he heard the mumblings of a half-familiar voice echoing along the walls. "Ravi?" he muttered to himself and listened carefully to try and discern from where it was coming. When he found the dark-hunter he winced and shook his head, his fears coming true.

"What happened, kid?" the azure-eyed male asked as he knelt next to his comrade. There was so much blood and taking him to a hospital was not even an option. Instead Jaejoong reached into his backpack and pulled out some bandages, just needing to stop the bleeding so that he could heal on his own. One of the perks to being a dark-hunter was immortality but it didn't mean they were impervious to harm.
Ravi 9 years ago
@Jaejoong The only words that seemed to run through Ravi's mind were a plethora of curse words. He had royally ed up and walked into a situation he couldn't handle. He had, stupidly, underestimated the strength that a single daimon could have... In hindsight, he probably should have seen it coming, but hindsight doesn't really mean anything. Not when you were bleeding from too many places to even assess where the fluid was coming from. Not when black spots were overtaking your vision. Hindsight doesn't mean when you're pretty sure you're going to die... The hunter's labored breathing echoed off the dingy brick walls of the alleyway as he stumbled through the narrow pathway. The last of his will to keep moving finally him and Ravi fall back against a wall, sliding down to rest in a pile of garbage. "I just need to rest for a little bit." he told himself, "just a couple of minutes and I'll get back up..."
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Gain "My hunting skills are already better than yours darling and I will be here long after you are in the ground." he said truthfully as he waved back to her, not at all impressed by her or her attitude. It didn't make sense how a were-hunter could be out in the world without knowing anything about it but he would just have to ask Dara about that. Maybe she knew what was going on with the panthers. If there was one thing that depressed him it was meeting a were-hunter with such a narrow view of the world but unfortunately it was all too common.

The god put his hands in his pockets and turned to head towards the Sanctuary. He would summon his demon and probably call Hara to join him so they could have a nice pre-morning party with friends. If he had any luck he would be able to drink away the disappointment of the panther and move on to happier things.
Gain 9 years ago
@Jaejoong She didn't take his laughter well and to be honest it took all of her will not to pull a dagger on him, knowing that wouldn't be wise choice. Stopping in her tracks, she turned around to examine him. He was good looking, she'd admit, but other than that there wasn't anything else good about him. "I'm not dumb. Sue me for not knowing anything about you dork-hunters. I tend to keep my business between me and mine. Anything else is irrelevant to me. As for your name. I can give rat's about who you are beef-bag. You don't scare me, so put your fangs away vampire."

Smiling at him, she chuckled under her breath. She couldn't believe she let some no good hunter get under she skin. Shaking him off, she blew him a kiss. "See yah in another century or two. Hopefully your hunting skills and attitude will be better by then. Tootles." Waving her fingers at him, she turned from him again, sincerely hoping it'd be longer than a century if she sees him again.
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Gain The more she spoke the more amused he became and he flat out started laughing at her. "You are really dumb. Like beyond any kind of dumb that I could have even imagined." he said between chuckles and shook his head. "If I was a dark-hunter then you should know that they cannot hunt together because the mere presence of another dark-hunter drains their powers dramatically. You should also know that daimons never hunt alone, never, and always in even numbered groups."

As she ran into him he didn't even budge, letting his azure eyes glow brightly and his true god form flashed for only a split second. "The other thing you need to know is that you should fear me above probably anything else in this universe and that the only reason you are still breathing is because I had a good day." he finished cheerfully. "That and there is nothing I can do with a human-skin rug." The male gave her a fanged smile, choosing not to comment on the fact that between the two of them he was never even struck nor ever in any danger, that she had been the one who made the mistakes. "Ask around your pack about Jaejoong, leader of the dark-hunters. Whether they like or hate me they respect me, something you should learn."
Gain 9 years ago
@Jaejoong She scoffed at him as she unknowingly copied his movements, crossing her arms too. The nerve his guy had to say such a thing to her. Rolling her eyes, she settled on one hip. A position she usually settled herself into when she was pissed off. "I didn't know that they were daimons. They looked like normal humans to me, so excuse me for trying to defend man-kind like I'm supposed to. If you weren't hunting by yourself, then they would've been disposed of along time ago, right."

Turning to her group, she waved them away knowing that disposing of the body was more important than to watch her get into a fight. Knowing they wouldn't be able to stop her once she got started, they nodded then hopped back in the van and drove off. "Like I was saying, talking to me about the bigger picture. How much arrogance can you have to think for a moment that you were enough to fight a group of daimons by yourself? At least my fight was one on one. Your actions were a bigger danger than mine was. And fyi I wasn't 'hanging out' I was trying to stop the slayer from getting any further away. No thanks to you." Walking closer to the hunter, Gain bummed his should harshly as he walked passed him. Totally done with the conversation. "I'm done with you. Have a good night and don't repeat the same stupid mistake again."
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Gain With the daimons dispatched he was ready to call it a night and go home only to turn around and see a diminutive female figure in front of him giving attitude. "Wow. You are really dumb." he said dismissively and walked past her to relax a bit, waving to one of the were-hunters at the van that he knew. Normally he was quite fond of them but this one was just annoying.

"Maybe you should get your head out of your ." he said finally before turning to her. "You had your big back end to a group of daimons and just hanging out like nothing was wrong. Apparently you aren't fond of your life or your soul." Jaejoong crossed his arms over his chest and gave her a calm but disapproving look like that he would give to one of his dark-hunters who was mouthing off. "I know your target is important but there is a bigger picture here, one that you aren't getting, and if you don't watch it you are going to get a lot of people killed."
Gain 9 years ago
@Jaejoong Clicking her belt with her weapons on it to her waist, she turned just in time to see the hunter finishing the last daimon off. Now was the time for her to have a little chat with the the almost cost her her prey. "Yah! You done playing around cause I gotta bone to pick with you."

Gain walked closer to the hunter, before stopping right in front of him. He was taller than her by a few inches at least, but she still needed to look up at him to meet his eyes. Glaring at him, she poked him in the chest. "Where the hell do you get off getting in the middle of my fight? Huh? If you hadn't shown up my first outfit wouldn't be ruined and it would've been better damage control. No tell if a human saw us or not."
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Gain He was too busy to care what the were hunter was doing, all that was on his mind were the three daimons left. Fortunately they were still disoriented by his blast and he used that time to his advantage, ing his sai into the heart of the one on his left. As the one across from him tried to stand he threw his other blade, hitting it right in the solar plexus. By this time the other was gaining control of his facilities but it wasn't going to help.

"Not today." Jaejoong mumbled as he strode confidently towards the blonde-haired male, flipping the remaining sai in his hand. Unlike many other daimons who would try to plead for mercy that one seemed to know its fate was unavoidable and didn't even run which sort of annoyed the god. "Smart. If you had run I might have taken my time with you." he growled just before plunging his sai into its chest.
Gain 9 years ago
@Jaejoong The crackling from the hunter's attack hurt her ears something fierce as she whimpered slightly at the frequency. Shaking it off she nodded in agreement, before going after the slayer and biting down on its neck. The bones under pressure made a sickening cracking noise as she bit harder and harder, breaking its neck. It released a whine with it's last breath, before dying.

Meanwhile, the hunter was still fighting against the daimons and usually she'd leave him to finish his own business, but she had a bone to pick with him. Changing back into her human form, she was from transforming into her panther form, but she's lived for far too long to care if anyone saw her . Just then her partners showed up and loaded the body into a van, while ing her out for running off on her own. Of course she paid them no mind and changed into a black tank top with red leggings and a black leather mini skirt, slipping on a part of black leather calf high boots.
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Gain At this point Jaejoong had had enough and he gathered his power to try and end it all quickly. The soft blue light around him grew stronger and began to crackle with energy before gathering around his hand. In one swift movement he sent it forth into the center of the group and it exploded with a deafening crack which had them flying. He was more than just a dark hunter and he was done playing around.

"You take your prey and I will take mine." he called to the panther as he lunged at the closest prone daimon and stabbed him in the chest. It was the fastest way to release the souls it had captured which was always the goal of a dark hunter. Only by being released could they know peace and that was the ultimate goal.
Gain 9 years ago
@Jaejoong Gain stood up wishing she could change back to give that hunter a piece of her mind. Where did he get off blaming her for this. It's not her fault that the slayer ran in their direction. Shaking herself off, she ran after the hunter, figuring he could lead her to the wolf's trail, but they were faster than she expected.

It didn't take much to catch up with the hunter, but those daimons and the slayer were farther away than she liked. Then the slayer turned back around and began to fight with the daimons. She should've known that the crazed katagaria wasn't going to back down without a fight.
Jaejoong [A] 9 years ago
@Gain He was too preoccupied with trying to keep the daimons focused on him to really notice the other two fighting until the wolf was basically under foot. "They have to have a death wish" he muttered angrily to himself only to have the panther in the fray as well. He pushed the blade of his sai into the chest of the nearest daimon reaching for the animals just in time for the panther to hit him out of nowhere and be sent flying.

"I swear I am going to kill you myself and deal with your alpha later." he groaned as he picked himself off of the pavement and watched the remaining four daimons take off after the wolf. The prize was too great for them to give up just because of a dark-hunter and Jaejoong refused to let them get it. He picked himself up and started after them again, basically ignoring the panther except for one statement. "If they get the soul I am blaming you."
Gain 9 years ago
@Jaejoong Hearing a commotion behind her, Gain turned just in time to see someone stab one of the humans in the back, then a burst of light afterwards. That's when she realized they weren't human. Great, she just got herself involved in a dark-hunter's chase. Being distracted, the slayer took it's opportunity to attack her. Quickly being rolled onto her back, she fended it go, before kicking it with her hind legs, sending it flying into the fray of daimons and the dark-hunter.

Flipping onto her legs, she ran into the fight, being sure to avoid the daimons' grabby hands as she ran toward her main target: the wolf slayer. Jumping onto it's back, she took a bite out of it's neck, only to be thrown off and into the dark-hunter, both of them hitting the ground hard. A little disorientated, the slayer took it's chance to run away along with the remaining daimons.
