@♦ meto Truth was he was just messing with him, as if there were rules in a garage of a gang, except the stating his name and if he worked there or not, there weren't many, and there definitely wasn't any lunch rules and that. Please, there was a couch and a basic living area in the place, there was no way in hell that there was actual rules. Hakyeon just didn't trust anyone, and he used this quiet tone to try to learn more bout the people he worked with. Don't get him wrong though, he's passive aggressive, he hates it when people don't listen to him and dear god doe it show. "I'm just checking to see how you would survive in these circumstances. As if there are rules...though if you do work on sommething that I've been working on again without asking if I needed help first, I'd throw you out of here so fast you wouldn't know what hit you." He meant it too, last time someone tried working on something else of his, he threw him out of the garage by his ears and told him not to come back. People as a whole irritated him. He was just hoping he had a good mechanic on his hands this time."I'm Cha Hakyeon, I'm the head mechanic of garage three. You do good work." he said in the same tone, "But I mean what I said, I'll throw you out by your hair if you touch something I'm working on again."

@♦ cha hakyeon (Really? Fiddle reminds me of an instrument.. *slapped* OHOHO)

Meto was getting increasingly worried about his well-being during his stay in South Korea. The other's tone, they way he stood and even the way he looked at him made him feel uncomfortable, like he was under scrutiny and it put him on edge. He found himself automatically mumbling a 'yes', to the more or less rhetorical first question. He tried to mask his growing unease, but failed to do so when he nervously brushed a strand of long hair behind his ear. Meto was actively avoiding eye-contact. Basically, he was supposed to behave like a vending machine. Punch in the order and if that doesn't happen, just sit still and don't be a bother. He would have scoffed if he'd dared to. He did not. Meto hated passive-aggressive people. They were ing scary as hell. Why couldn' he just get angry and yell at him like a normal person? After all, he could the other was still pissed. The sinking feeling that the times to come were going to be catastrophic only increased as the other continued breaking down the rules. By the time, the guy threatened to 'whomp the hell out of him', Meto standing posture had improved and he was fiddling with his clothes behind his back. There were many things he wanted to complain about. Firstly, that he had to report everything he did, secondly the one hour lunch break. What was this, a company job? Needless to say, Meto had never worked in a team before. Anyways, he voiced none of his complaints. Instead, he just nodded and gave a small 'yes' once more. He only looked up again when the other answered his question and his facial expression clearly showed how shocked he was. Sabotaging another's geer was not just incredibely dangerous, it was also so low that only the worst of the worst could fall to pulling something like that, in his mind at least. On that too, he would have commented, but he didn't feel comfortable enough to start chatting. Glancing to the side, only after several attempts did he succeed to make eye-contact. "Uuhm.. If you don't mind me asking.. Who are you?" It had been bugging him for a while now, but the guy seemed like a ticking time-bomb and he hadn't wanted to interrupt him.

@♦ meto (ACK Yeah it was for an owner nevermind forget that bit....he does have a car he's restoring though....consider that a massive Lynz!Fail and lets move on! Also you'll see in a minute :P)

He was kind of annoyed with the man still, he could care two s if he joined on as a mechanic yesterday or a year ago, he just wanted to make sure that the car was okay, as it was NOT his to be having someone else fiddle around with. (I hate that word fiddle it makes me think dangerous things :P) But since nothing was out of place or anything on the car or on the inside of the car, or just near the car in general he gave it a pass.

"Now Meto, here are the rules for working here you hear me?" he said with a sort of irritated tone. "You don't work on other people's cars unless they need your help, that's a big thing, especially since I don't trust anyone at all whatsoever." he said softly. "Literally at all, I want to see what you to do make sure it's done right, you are allowed an hour for lunch, don't lounge around and do nothing because I will find you, and I will likely whomp the hell out of you to get your in gear. Do you understand? Oh right and to answer your question from before, I've seen it happen....I'd rather not see it happen again. I don't think they try to kill people, it's more they want to just do whatever they can to win!" he said.

@♦ cha hakyeon (I've been thinking a bit with my wee brain about this plot (?). Meto isn't the actively rebellious type, but he also doesn't just do as told unless he wants to. From all the members of this garage I've met, I think Cha Hakyeon's presence might be able to scare him into doing what he should be. That is, if he is the passive agressive type. /// If he is not, then Meto will view him as a push-over and will also treat him as such. I'm fine with both relationships, depending on which direction you'd prefer, please make your reply. *flies away*)

You know... This guy was kind of scary. He seemed to be the passive aggressive type and they were always the most dangerous. He actually started feeling a bit uncomfortable when the other's eye twitched. Freaky. Perhaps it would be best to apologize after all. Meto listened to the other, this time avoiding direct eye contact and gave a slight nod when he said not to touch his property anymore. [Btw, wasn't the car a project for an owner who was not Hakyeon? I'm just going to pretend it wasn't.] Wait what? Sabotage the car? Him? The hell? Meto laughed and looked back at the other. "What, does that happen often in this scene? People trying to indirectly murder others?", he said with a smirk, his tone clearly displaying that he didn't believe stuff like that actually happened.

Meto watched him slide under the car with fluctuating unease. He'd have to revise what he thought about the other. He was either scary and passive-aggressive, or just a wimpy kid. It was quite a contrast, yes, but the Icelandic-Korean couldn't decide yet. He was about to ask the other if he worked here, when he was interrupted. Meto felt rather uncomfortable and sub-consciously fiddled with the hem of his sleeve. The guy was so serious... And this style of asking reminded him of school. Ugh. School. It felt odd answering him, since at least on his side the situation was tense. It was like he was being questioned and if he responded to that, he somehow felt like he would 'lose'. Lose what though? God knows. But he couldn't just ignore him either, they were all valid questions. He was definitely passive-aggressive.. right?

"I'm Meto, I joined as a mechanic yesterday. And I always wake up early and since this is the only place I actually know the directions to in Korea... yeah."
♦ cha hakyeon 9 years ago
@♦ meto What came out from under the car was far from Hakyeon expected, he was a foreigner, and the outfit he was wearing looked a bit uncomfortable for working under the car, let alone uncomfortable in general, wouldn't catch him wearing something like that in a garage. If he was trying to be intimidating toward him with that glare when he looked him in the face the way he did, it wasn't working, the man was a stonewall, stared right back at him.

He hated it when other people decided that they were higher than everyone else, this particular car was a restoration, something he had been working on since he started being a mechanic, he was an idiot and left it out in the open, so it was his own fault that the other man thought that it was something for someone else. It was his own personal project, even though he would never drive it for himself. His eye twitched again suddenly, "I would rather you not touch my personal property again." he said softly. "Not unless you ask first, especially if you're a mechanic, how do I know you're not here to sabotage my car?" he asked before standing up and going under the car to make sure that he did what he said he was doing before he abruptly interrupted him.

He pulled himself out from under the car, "Fine, less work for her later, now I have a few questions for you, the first one is who are you? The second is why are you here? and the third is why are you here so damn early?" he said crossing his arms looking at the man.

@♦ cha hakyeon Meto was torn. On the one hand, if he could believe the other's words - and there was no reason not to - he felt regretful and didn't want to face the other. On the other hand, he was still not happy about being insulted off the bat. Then again, his shoes had been insulted... No. No, Meto = his shoes. Therefor, he had also been insulted. ... To be perfectly honest, he felt like he was being ridiculous. What was this, acting like he was scared to come out. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention that the other didn't seem to be mad. And so, slowly Meto emerged from under the car in his full glory and looked the tall stranger straight in the eyes.

He sighed in irritation and - after taking off his gloves and tucking them into the hem of his pants - ran a hand through his hip-long blonde hair. He was acting as if he had done absolutely nothing wrong, a specialty of his. But he was just acting in the end, he knew he probably shouldn't have started fiddling without permission. Regardless, with a 'come-at-me' expression he finally came around to answering the other's question. "It's fine, I get it. I'm a mechanic too, after all.", he stated first non-chalantly, pretty much forgiving the other for 'bothering him'. "I finished fixing [xxx] and started working on [zzz]."

@♦ woo soohyun () Instead of: First of all, why has he being so formal? [etc.]
Please take it that it says: "First of all, why was he stuttering? Blushing and stuttering.. wow, he must be really shy. Maybe a hermit or something like that?"
♦ meto 9 years ago
@♦ woo soohyun When he'd arrived, he'd been told to wait a moment as so he did. With nothing to do, he let his gaze sweep the garage, it's members and the cars out on display. His conclusion? This was going to be a long four months. He didn't like sleek, elegant sportscars very much at all. However, despite all the numerous differences, the scene did feel a little nostalgic. In the end with both Offroad in Iceland and Street Racing in South Korea, in the garage they were just a bunch of people fangirling over cars. Beside himself, there were a few other people on the garage, busily going about their work or at least pretending to do so. Meto was standing with his back to the front of the garage, absent-mindedly staring at this and that. From what he could tell, they looked friendly enough.

First he heard, the people around him start to snigger, then a voice from behind him told him that the person he had been waiting for had probably arrived. Upon turning around, at first he wondered why the others had laughed, then he noticed a faint blush creep onto the other's cheeks and smiled to himself. What a cutie-pie, blushing from just seeing him. Was it that he felt uncomfortable about people wearing clothes like he did? Or was he shy around pretty people? Yes, Meto considered himself above average in the appearance department. But that should not be confused with narcissism. He was merely confident and comfortable in his own skin. Or... wait. Did he think he was a girl? It happened quite often and Meto didn't mind it, he'd often go along with it just for fun. Naah, that couldn't be. As a street racer one must have a lot of girls hanging around, so it shouldn't be because of that.

The Icelandic-Korean's thought process was detailed, but in real time it only consumed 1/8th of a second and so he responded pretty much immediately. Meto nodded his head slightly, imitating a bow his dad had told him people liked to do here in greeting, and brushed a strand of his blond hair that had come loose behind his ear. "Hi. I'm Meto, the one who had called.", he said in his effeminate voice and flashed the other a smile. Behind his pokerface, plenty of questions were flying around in his brain. First of all, why was he being so formal? Was this normal? Would he have to behave like this the whole time?!

@♦ meto As the day had begun Soohyun was very pleased he had taken his new car for a practice run, a few laps around the race track. Stepping on the gas pedal, grabbing and pulling the break drifting on a sharp turn and driving semi side ways down the path then placing the brake down he fixed his car to a straight drive. Since the track was full of turns and rough twists Soohyuns car was drifting and moving sideways- his body as it sat in the car moved with the car his eyes at a full glance with the road.

The tract soon merged up a mountain, grabbing the break, and pushing down on the stopping pedal, winding the wheel almost half way to the left his car drifts and turns harshly. Making it smoothly onto the turn he puts the brake down and speeds uo faster as his last lap ends Soohyun soon makes his way back to the garage.
Entering the garage making a loud noise as he did then stopping the car, turning it off, opening the door, he pops the hood and steps out then closes the door.
Opening the hood completely he checks over the motor biting his lips as he did seeing.
Soohyun was always the one to make sure his cars were.in perfect conditions with every last detail nothing but the best- but of course it wasn't his whole life he had another life out of this garage.
A friend of his a mechanic comes taling his shoulder then staning next to him .
"Theres someone here saying he called in advance" he said Soohyun glances at him then down at the motor sighing he nodded taking a cloth he wiped his hand.
"Arasso ill handle it, can you add another tank of nitro and another can of oil please" he said " yeah sure" the othwr agreed Soohyun nods and the. Makes his way to the person who had come. A few days prior Tao the main leader had told Soohyun that someone was coming in terms of finding a job. Soohyun had the perfect job for the male. A mechanic, they needed another person and Soohyun thought the guy might take it.

Soohyun approaches the front of the garage his head down looking at his hands as he wipes them, soon looking up hearing snickering and and small laughs from the others. Soohyun frowns "yah whats so funny?!" he asked then looked foward only to find himself with a pretty looking girl....?

"Oh...um...aa-Annyeonghaseyo~" Soohyun smiles soffly blushing softly as his hands were still a bit dirty. He glanced at them then at the girl "um hh-how-...how may I help you?" he asked sweetly to her

@♦ kang insoo Hakyeon wrapped his arms around his neck bringing him closer as they kissed. He dropped his head to the man's shoulder after they broke off the kiss, just so he could hear him speak. "Get lost then so I can get you know at least a little cleaner than how I feel." he said into his neck. He let go and went to the bathroom to clean up a little bit, he was glad there was a shower in the garage he didn't want to look and feel as gross as he currently felt. He rushed a bit and hurried back out, knowing which car was his was a plus. He opened the door, hair everywhere from drying it and in his spare pair of clothes. "Sorry I took a few minutes." he said.

Insoo moved closer and again laid a kiss on Hakyeon's mouth, deepening the kiss he moved his hands to his waist. "Mmm, I have been thinking about that all day long. Now hurry, before we don't make it out of the garage." Watching the man was very enjoyable, mentally smacking himself Insoo went to his car and got in. Putting on his seatbelt, Insoo fiddle with his phone and tried to keep his mind out of the gutter. Hearing the door open, Insoo put his phone away and looked to the other man.

@♦ kang insoo Hakyeon was finding it rather hard to concentrate himself. He almost put a particular part in the wrong way, he managed to find his way back to actually thinking about the car, he managed to get back in the actual feel of things. He had been working for a few hours, when he was working he didn't stop, not unless he knew he was going to be done for the day. Or when he had actual plans which almost never happened unless there was a race he had to work at. He heard the man's voice and smiled. "Give me a couple seconds, I'm just about done." he said letting his eyes flick over to take a look at him before taking care of this part he needed to put in. He closed the hood. "Okay...all done. Do you mind if I clean up a little first? I mean if you like the dirty sweat thing that's fine too." he said with a smirk.

Signing off, he grabbed his coat and backpack before going over to where Hakyeon was working. "Are you ready? Or should I sit here and watch you look good under that hood?" Insoo before leaning against the side of the car. Hakyeon looked good, a little unkempt and a thin sweat, caused Insoo to wet his lips.

"One of the first things I was taught was how to clock cars, so I'm in no place to judge what you and your family did." he said. "Not that I do that now, that's just stupid but still...."

He nodded his head at him, "You should get back to work, I'll be done in a few hours, a couple of these parts were for a restoration anyway." he said with a smile. "I'll be back in a few hours. @♦ meto Hakyeon was not amused, he was not amused in the slightest. "Look, I'm sorry I called your boots ugly now can you please get out from under the car I'm working on please?" he said, he wasn't one to be polite especially when the property that he was asked to work on was being compromised. He didn't need to get chewed out by the owner of said car because some random person was underneath it doing something weird to it.

"Seriously though, if the owner comes in and sees some guy in funky boots working on the car that I'm supposed to be working on, I could get fired so please just come out." he said sitting down in the chair at the table again, "and if you wouldn't mind telling me what you did to it so I can look it over to make sure it's done right." Trust was a word that was not in Hakyeon's vocabulary, so he would need to look over what was done. "It just came off weird that you would just be under the car I'm working on when there's nobody else here, you can understand why I'm slightly irritated."
♦ kang insoo 9 years ago
@♦ cha hakyeon Insoo chuckled at his concern, crossed his arms and smiled at Hakyeon. "I just enjoy it when I was kicked out, I found these to be my comfort foods. I will try to stop and you don't have to bring it to me anymore, I'll do you orders for free." Pouting Insoo, knew he would have go show Hakyeon his at home side even when he was so used to show his goofy work side. "I can cook, there was a con my parents pulled when I was a teen and I played a cook. I got really good and can pull off a 5 course meal for 10 people." Not knowing why he shared that, Insoo clammed up not wanting to share all the horrible things he had done. Hakyeon was perfect and he didn't want his past to cloud his future. "So when your finished let me know and I can take us to my place."

Moving back to his desk, Insoo bit his lip hopping he had not already ruined the only good thing he had going. Sitting at his desk, he forced himself to focus and get everything ready for the street race. Asking his hacker friend to help monitor the race so he could enjoy his alone time with Hakyeon.

@♦ cha hakyeon (Ish fine ish fine *glomps and and wails happily* it was a starter anyway)

Meto hadn't being paying any attention at all to his immediate surroundings, much less if or who entered the garage. He was happily enjoying himself doing the one thing he could actually do in South Korea that was fun: fix cars. And then suddenly he felt something kick his boot and the next moment someone's voice. His immediate reaction? A jumpscare. As well as that worked at least, when one was lying flat on one's back. Much like a turtle pulling in it's head, he promptly pulled his feet (and boots) out of sight. He said nothing for the moment, just trying to calm down his freaked out heart. Meto was prone to jumpscares. Very prone indeed. And then, when the shock ebbed away, he got angry. Ugly boots?! UGLY boots????!!!!! "MY BOOTS ARE BEAUTIFUL!!", he snarled right back, with the difference that he was yelling. Meto's safe haven had just been cruelly disrupted by a most unkind individual.

He didn't stand for being insulted, just because the other was an intolerant prick. Amongst all the things his mother taught him, these two were the most basic: 1) Always be tolerant and try to understand before you judge. You don't have to agree. 2) If someone insults you, punch them in the face. Meto was planning to do just that or something similar, but then again he was not. After all, he was presently cornered under a car. Plus, the other had said 'my' car. If that was the case, he had done something wrong after all and so was in no place to get angry at anyone. What to do, what to do? Right. He was going to stay right where he was. In hiding. "I'm not coming out if you're gonna be so ing rude.", he stated matter-of-factly, but with a biting undertone.

@♦ meto Hakyeon was one of the few people in the universe who decided waking up early on his own free will was fine and good. It gave him a few hours in the garage on his own to work on things on his own, and he had a car he was working on, so he would get that one finished today before another one came in and he had to go and ask for parts again. Which was not high on his list to do because he had to end up spending a ton of money on chips, salsa and red bull. He was not in the mood for that in any case. He grabbed the food that his aunt made him and went to the garage. He was glad that it was in walking distance from his residence because him driving was out of the question. He only became a mechanic because he was interested in the insides of the car rather than the driving bit.

When he walked into the garage he went to go and put everything away and get everything out he needed to use that day for the car, he was sitting at the table pulling out the tools and parts that he would need for the vehicle in front of him. Little did he know that there was someone's shoes, namely ugly spiked boots sticking out from underneath his car. His eye twitched as he kicked the boot. "What the hell are you doing under my car?" he had to all but say, but he was less than thrilled. He would have screamed it if he was that kind of person. He wasn't, he didn't yell, he didn't scream, his anger was a controlled anger, he could be fussing with it. This person whoever it was could be from another team trying to sabotage his ing car.

"Get out from under there right now before I pull you out by the platforms of your ugly boots!"

(sorry it came out shorter than I expected. :X had to get wee little people out of my back yard!)

@♦ cha hakyeon As so often, since he'd first arrived here in South Korea - which was two days ago - he was bored. Extremely bored. So, so, so, SO bored. But there was nothing to do. He had no idea where anything but this garage was, so this was the only place he could go after waking up at 5 in the morning. Meto had adjusted surprisingly quickly to the time difference and was waking up at the same time as he did back in Iceland. You see, he'd always take a brisk walk before breakfast there, through the fields. And then perhaps a dip in the local springs. He was a very physically active person, despite his (lack of) size. And here? In Korea? He hadn't found anything to do in actual nature and it was starting to affect him. But up till now, it was still borderline. Meto was more worried about how he was going to survive these four months. Not at all, as it seemed up till now. He had absolutely no affinity for street racing, nor for any of the car models standing around here. With a sullen expression, he let his gaze sweep across the shiny cars in the garage from the old couch he lay on.. and sighed, sinking his face back into the smelly cushions. It smelled of oil. A nice smell. Well, at least he still had mechanics. Usually his mother had great ideas and no matter how much he hated it in the beginning, he'd always enjoyed it in the end when she'd forced him to try one thing or another. But Korea? Another country? So suddenly? He was not convinced.

Oh well...

Once more, he looked up, his eyes catching sight of a car that seemed to be in the middle of getting patched up. A twinkle appeared on his naturally green eyes and he shifted his legs, getting of the couch. Nobody was here yet, but he might as well do something usefull. And they probably wouldn't mind him continuing something, he was a mechanic after all. And so, he quickly slipped on some leather gloves to protect his precious nails and slid under the car to check out what had to be done. Ten minutes later he was busily at work, everything he needed spread around him and a soft tune on his lips. Only the tips of his spiked platform boots were peeking out from under the car, the rest was invisible to anyone who wasn't coincidentally cuddling into him.

(Here's what he's wearing: You don't have to check it out, I just need to always match up an outfit or I can't role-play properly OTL

@♦ woo soohyun Meto glanced down at the little slip of paper in his hand, back at his surroundings, then back at the slip of paper. He couldn't read what he'd written down, he'd done it in a hurry and without any real conviction about finding the place. He'd been more or less (more, than less) kicked out and shipped away to South Korea for 4 months. The 'land of his dreams'. Not. He'd have been just fine staying in Iceland, which he knew and loved. But there was no point sulking about things now. Here he was and his dad had even managed to get him an interview with a local garage of stree racers. Now Meto had absolutely no connection to street racing, what he did was Iceland's well-known Offroad racing, which was just a wee bit different from what he was supposed to enjoy here and he wasn't sure how much he was going to like this. It never hurt to try though and it would be better to at least learn a few things here, than just wander about aimlessly. Clearly, he wasn't coming to garage #3 with very high expectations.

For convenience sake, he had twisted his hip-long blonde hair into a top bun and there were no spikes to be found on his clothes anywhere. There were cars around, after all. He didn't want to accidentally scratch anything. Meto was wearing knee-high plateau boots that raised him up to a staggering 175cm. With that came tight leather pants, adorned with chains and straps that hung loosely around his things, a loose off-shoulder black pullover and of course a leather choker. He got a few looks as he unknowingly neared his goal, but he ignored them perfectly or, if they were looks of appreciation and the appreciator had good looks, flashed a smile back. Just for today, he'd even replaced the hollow tunnel in his left earlobe, with a filled one so that he didn't accidentlly rip half his ear off. He thought he was plenty prepared for whatever was to come, but he'd soon find out.

After wandering around a bit longer, trying to figure out where he had to go, Meto finally finally thought he had arrived at the right place. It certainly looked more like a garage than the other few buildings that had been in the area. Carefully, he stepped inside and looked around. "Hello? This is Meto. I'd called in advance..."

Insoo felt his insecurities rise up, he hoped that everything would work out. "Now give me the order form I need to change it to your real name and not Peanut."

@♦ kang insoo 'Walk out the door Hakyeon, walk out the door and only come back with when you need something, you don't want to get hurt again.' he thought to himself, his body being counterproductive towhat his thoughts were basically telling him to do. Run away, but he wasn't running away, he stayed right where he was. Hakyeon and any sort of relationship was next to non-existent, he never had a relationship love enough to even try to care about a person, because he didn't care. This time he understood the person a little. They were still probably going to leave each other thinking in the end it was a huge mistake. "I'm willing to, if we get hurt there's nobody to blame but ourselves right?" he asked.

@♦ cha hakyeon Insoo ran his hand through his hair, it was a risk, one he was willing to try. One he was not going to pressure someone else to take. "I'm willing to take a risk, but I'm going to leave the choice to you." Insoo was breaking several rules of being raise as a grifter, though he felt if he might have a chance at something he wanted. He left an out, knowing Hakyeon might want it. Insoo forced himself to look away and back at his computer, to the thing that can't ever hurt him.
