@Jung Soojung Upon hearing the warning, Sunggyu was already preparing to either shove his sister out of the way, or interrupt the shooter. But seeing the hard disks he gathered being blasted by a red aura, he smirked and proceeded to disarm the security guards.

One down.

He saw The Seer's hex threw the person to the wall, and before anyone could grab the gun, he took it and shot the cameras inside the room down. Not that anyone would be able to see anything clearly with the camera with the lights off (the only light sources being the windows and the red light coming from the hexes Krystal threw), but still.

"Chaser, are you engaging the—" The female voice coming from his earphones was worried, but he cut her before she could continue.

"Seer's on our side. I'm destroying the base. Reports later."

And he cut the connection.

Now to paralyze these people enough so that they won't pose another threat to humanity for the next few years, hopefully... suddenly, he wondered where the leader was.

"Nice one, sis," he said, suddenly standing at her back, two guns held to the enemies. A smirk was on his face. "Next plan?"

@Kim Sunggyu Once the male disappeared from her side, she walked forward where she was visible enough and leaned against the railing from where she stood, watching carefully each faces showing complete surprise upon the sudden interruption. Impressed, she smiled ever so slightly; they should be surprised, alright. There was no way she’s leaving this place without showing them how she shouldn’t be messed with—and so is her brother.

A security makes an attempt to approach her as she made her entrance, but the female lifted a hand to stop him; in no time, he collapsed into the ground. If what she did and what her brother was doing as of the moment wasn’t enough to alarm the ones inside the room, she didn’t know what is—but judging by how every armed men pointed their guns toward her direction, she knew they were now aware that she was no longer ‘theirs’.

“Hands up, or we’ll shoot.” One warned. She did as told, but as soon as she lifted her hand, she blasted the harddisks the Chaser managed to gather, causing the other employees to duck upon her strike. One of the securities shoots at her direction, but she managed to dodge the bullet—God bless—and shoot a hex into the shooter’s direction.

Their superior could just be watching from his office—but she could care less. She wouldn’t risk him a visit, no way; instead, she’ll let him see the chaos she brought upon his hideout. How could she not have seen through his action that all he wanted was to govern the country with such tyranny, and not /actually/ save people? Unbelievable.

“Take that!” but she wasn’t planning to kill them—not all of them. Maybe just leave an injury or two, to warn them, to threaten them.

@Jung Soojung Clicks and whirs were what his ears caught as they approached the core of the otherwise empty building. They had chosen to focus their activities in one spot, so it seemed to Sunggyu—the more easier it was to strike chaos inside.

"They did, did they," The older male muttered with a slight tinge of dismay. It disturbed him how actually fragile S.H.I.E.L.D's security is; then again no matter how good you are, there would be someone better. It's just the law of nature. Not that he'd ever met his match at speed yet, thank the Lord.

His quick gaze fell at the small opening; inside the room, people were hurrying here and there, totally oblivious of the two extra pair of eyes observing them. Grinning back at his sister because of her words, the male nodded.

"I'll be right back."

Clearly, Chaser never wasted his time—the next second he'd already disappeared in, leaving a familiar blue trail. Everything seemed to be the same where Krystal stood. But inside, it was chaotic to say the least. The lights had went off—he'd sabotaged the electricity—and instead of taking the time to actually delete the data manually, because honestly computers are so freaking slow, Sunggyu thought of a simpler stunt while he was plugging out every cables on the computers in the room.

Wouldn't the Seer's magic be enough to destroy these things, anyway? He would just have to put them right where she'd struck them.

Not more than three seconds had passed when he'd gotten every single harddisk on the computers out, and he still even had the time to monitor the passages.

Any time now, she would be making her entrance.
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu The center of the building was where the main computers were located—it served as the organization’s main control room and laboratory. She could recall waking up on a cell in the laboratory years ago, being observed—at first they were so cautious they didn’t let her out for a few weeks or so, keeping her imprisoned on a place to avoid her destructive, uncontrollable ability.

She wasn’t more than just one of their lab rats.

Despite her rage, though, there was a small part of her that says this wasn’t something she could do—not something she /should/ do. They raised her, made her into what she is today, honed her abilities and helped her develop them.

No, Krystal. They /lied/ to you. They /used/ you. This is the right thing to do.

She gave her brother’s hand a light squeeze as they approached the entrance to the center of the building. As they walked closer, she could already hear the familiar sound of computers and machineries—they were creating weapons they said would help them to protect mankind from the monsters SHIELD was creating. Weapons they said even she might have to use in the future. Even they were trying to build an artificial intelligence out of the equipments and the knowledge their scientists possess. They were all in the wrong side—instead of protection, they were working on destruction.

How could one think of such an ill purpose? All Krystal wanted was to get back on SHIELD for killing her brother and protect her people from another war. She had enough of seeing innocent people die just because of one’s wrath over another. Was that too much to ask for?

“They stole data from the computers in SHIELD. We should destroy everything while we’re there.” She swallowed. They were now right in front of the main room itself. From where they stood, she could see the people she once saw as her allies. “/You/ be careful.” A smile of amusement made itself to don her features as she tilted her head to face him. “Now go.”
Kim Sunggyu 8 years ago
@Jung Soojung “I can fix that in one-tenth the time I need to run here, don’t you worry,” Sunggyu grinned slightly, realizing how he had always been much too fast to follow. Actually, that was the main reason why he never really styled his hair; he just let it be, and naturally, his hair always looked messy due to his ultra-fast speed. It rarely mattered, though. People rarely have enough time to even pay attention to his appearance anyways. “No more messed up hair next time, promise. Expert hair stylist here.”

He’d seen the security cameras moments ago, and figuring it was best for him to stay passive, he waited for Krystal’s act—he guessed she had a plan, and it seemed she did. Not once did his eyes stare at the cameras; if anything, his best shot is at pretending that her magic was influencing his mind. The moment the door opened, he felt her hand reaching out towards his, and Sunggyu smiled, ever so slightly, as they walked in.

Should the guards act weird, he would still have time to paralyze them completely. They have nothing to worry about, not when they’re together. Though it seemed that he didn’t even need to raise a finger, even.

Glancing towards the now doubling-up people on the ground, he wondered just what did she make them see; but more than that, he wondered whether she could see what he was thinking. Whether time would seem slow for her too…

And yet, his trail of thought was short-lived; they’d reached what seemed to be the entrance to the center of the building, according to his sense of direction—he’d scaled the outer walls. The calculation was easy.

“Be careful,” he couldn’t help but mutter, taking a last glance at his new-found sister. “I’m going to vanish the moment we get in.”
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu Krystal let out a soft squeal as they zoomed past the trees and into the direction of the building, being able to make it to the entrance in just a matter of a few seconds (or has a /few/ seconds already passed even? She had no idea). “This needs some getting used to,” she muttered low as her feet landed into the ground when he lowered her. She pushed her unkempt hair back, realizing some of it had managed to stick into her face because of the wind.

Her eyes lifted to look at the entrance of the building. So much for a home. All these years, she lived with people who only used her to feed their greed, and all along she thought she’d been siding with justice. She thought wrong.

“It’s me, open the door.” Krystal figured the best way to get through was to pretend they were on their side; that she was /still/ on their side. They had heard her, it seemed (and most probably had also seen her from the security cameras just by the doors), because the doors opened shortly. Reaching over to hold her brother’s hand with hers once again, she tried to hide her triumphant smile as they walked forward and inside the building.

Time for payback, yeah?

There were two guards who had walked their direction—guards who she guessed will be “leading” the two of them to their superior’s office. She knew her way already (which made her wonder why there were guards) and for a moment she thought they knew the two of them were planning something. She remained by her brother’s side, walking in silence. However, as they did, her free hand glowed, an aura of red slowly creeping up towards the heads of the two guards, her magic infiltrating their minds, digging through their deepest fears and pulling them to surface. In no time, the two were already doubling over, clutching their heads.

Two less security guards to worry about. “This way,” she said, leading them through the hallway and into the main hall… where the /party/ is at.

@Jung Soojung It's funny, when you think of it. They'd started off as enemies, each having their own side to defend, and look where they are now. Looking back, Sunggyu could even be thankful that he got hit.

And looking at his sister's confident smirk, the male nodded in return.

"Hold on tight," Sunggyu muttered - though really, there was no need to. The next moment, they were zooming past trees with unerring accuracy, and she was safely lifted by his arms.

"Have I mentioned that this is actually my first time here?" He asked just as they skidded in front of the huge door leading into the building itself, and he lowered her down with a knowing grin.

"Your turn to lead, sister."
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu She glanced back at the seemingly abandoned building from where she currently crouched down and slowly rose, patting off the snow in her red dress before meeting her brother’s gaze yet again, a hand clasping on his to pull him up to his feet.

Yeah, they could catch up later. For now, they had people to punish.

And perhaps even a base to destroy, if they can.

A smirk made its way to don her features as she met the orbs twinkling in mischief; for some reasons, the link she never knew actually worked now functioned well, and she could actually understand her brother’s emotions, needless to say anything else. It was perhaps one of the perks of having a mutant as your brother—no matter what, the two of you are linked.

She then looked down at their connected hands and gave the male a firm nod.

“Let’s go, /brother/.”
Kim Sunggyu 8 years ago
@Jung Soojung Does it really matter, though? All Sunggyu could think was that he suddenly found the sister he'd given up on searching—because if even S.H.I.E.L.D couldn't find her, how could he?—and for him, that was all that matters.

He found her.

"Forgiven before you said sorry," The male replied lightly, giving Krystal a small smile. "Had I known you were my sister, I wouldn't have been so... taunting. I guess it's for the best. Besides, it's nothing I can't recover fully from."

Though, seeing the resolve forming in her eyes, he sensed her anger—which Sunggyu had to admit he shared, even if not to that extent. He had been aiming to take her out, not to destroy the base... but looking into her eyes, the realization took him.

With the Seer by his side, destroying the base single-handedly might've been possible after all.

And a glint of mischief was in his eyes, just as he reached towards her to help him back up.

"Shall we save the overdue introduction for later and get to that first, then... sister?"
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu For so long, she missed his comforting touch. Right then she could remember her brother’s affectionate ruffle in her head every time she cries over something—may it be the injured bird she brought home or may it be for scraping her knees. Most of all, she could remember him whispering everything will be alright before they got separated in the war fourteen years ago.

Her eyes closed momentarily as soon as his hand came in contact with her cheek. Even his hand felt so warm against her ice cold skin. Such warmth she missed throughout the years they were separated.

“You didn’t know,” she shook her head, “you didn’t know I was alive, neither did I know you were.”

Being deprived of the most important details in their lives for so long, and Krystal wanted more than to get her hands on the throats of those who tricked her beyond knowing the truth. They used her anger to turn her against the good side, used her naivety to create a monster out of her.

“I… I hurt you—I’m so sorry, I didn’t know you were…” ‘my brother,’ she didn’t finish, however, feeling a wave of shame. She could have done worse, not knowing fully he was the missing figure in her life all along.

She blamed herself—but more than anything else, she blamed the ones who took her. Call her ungrateful, but the only reason she’s with them was because she was being used.

They messed with the wrong head.

“I’m going… to kill them.”

@Jung Soojung The existence of the locket had been enough proof. The Seer was, ironically, his sister... and yet, he felt as if he knew so little about her.

Sunggyu let himself chuckle. "You caught me this time, though," he said, and for the first time, he mirrored her - caressed her cheek lightly, brushing the tears away. The move just felt so natural for some reasons, and the same melancholic smile was on his lips.

"It has... and I'm sorry. For not knowing."

Indeed, Sunggyu himself never really had hopes of finding his little sister, believing her to be dead because S.H.I.E.L.D never found her. It was ironic that now he found her himself, and had he not been caught, God knows what would happen.

The very thought made him shudder.

"I'm sorry I wasn't around when I should be. Had I known you were alive, I'd have..." Sunggyu shook his head. Ironically, he was faster than any human being... and yet, how late he was.

The Seer, blinded, and the Chaser, late for years.

No matter what, they're in it together.
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu Nothing felt more infuriating than knowing the fact that she, the Seer, has been tricked.

S.H.I.E.L.D didn’t kill her brother. They /helped/ him, kept him alive. Instead, she was used as the eye, turned her against the people who served humanity better and protected all of what there is to protect. The side who wished to destroy and rule was not the organization affiliated with her brother.

It was hers.

With fresh tears staining her pale skin, she lifted a hand to caress her brother’s cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin. It was solid proof that he’s alive, and despite the loss of his memories, he exists still, and that was all she could ever wish for. He’s grown so much, gone through so much. How could she not have sensed through their link? Perhaps it was because of her lack of better awareness with what she could do… and she hoped she could’ve at least done better than to be a mere puppet.

“We do,” a melancholic smile graces her lips. “Even then, you’ve always been so fast, I could recall not being able to catch up with you with such short legs.”

Beautiful, yet sad. A bittersweet memory, indeed. “It’s been so long.”
Kim Sunggyu 8 years ago
@Jung Soojung Sunggyu stared at the other with disbelief. They told her he was already dead... then does that mean—

Could it be that the very person S.H.I.E.L.D told him to get was actually the younger sister he couldn't recall anything of? It doesn't make sense, but after the wild guess he had was confirmed by the opening of the girl's locket, Sunggyu realized, nothing is really impossible. It's possible for him to get caught, just as it's possible for her to be related to him in the most unexpected way. As he looked at the photograph that was supposedly his mother inside her locket, he opened his own, as if it had automatically became their way of identifying each other.

Absurd. Impossible. But real.

"More than 60% of my skin got burned in the fire. The people in S.H.I.E.L.D told me I'm a living miracle." A wry smile lined Sunggyu's lips. "Whoever told you that probably didn't think I could be saved."

In fact, he deemed S.H.I.E.L.D a miracle. Not a single trace remained of the burns that had almost taken his life, and that's not even mentioning his upgraded power. They had given him hopes... to create a better future.

"S.H.I.E.LD is known to gather mutants and train them, yes. In a way, they rule over us... but I figure you've seen through my existing memories. Your source is right in a way that I was dead, though... I remembered nothing before the fire broke out. Except that..."

For a moment, his eyes focused on her features, searching, comparing.

"We... played tags before, did we not...?"

Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu It was surreal. It all felt too surreal. For more than a decade, she lived knowing her brother was dead. /They/ told her he’s dead, that S.H.I.E.L.D killed him, knowing he was just like her. /They/ said he would have lived had they managed to reach him on time. /They/ said they couldn’t save him, like they how they saved her.

It was all a lie.

“But they… they told me you were already dead…” she shook her head, disbelieving; but she knew better. He didn’t remember her. He /couldn’t/ remember her. That fact should have increased her resentment against S.H.I.E.L.D, but instead, she couldn’t bring herself to care. All she could ever think of was how truly blessed she felt, after all these years.

But after relief, followed guilt. She /did/ manage to hit him with her magic…

She looked down at her own locket, hands reaching to unclasp the accessory from her neck. “This is a gift,” her voice was surprisingly calm for someone who seemed all entirely hostile a few moments before. “From my mother.” She opened the locket, revealing a photo, faded with time. But even so, the female’s smile remained vibrant—youthful and elegant.

Her brows furrowed as she wiped her tears away. “I don’t understand,” she said, “they said you were the enemy, that you’re nothing but selfish people who wish to gain power and rule the mutants I—they said you’re the wrong side.”

She, who’s supposed to get into other people’s heads, ended up being the one manipulated. Her mind was so clouded with the thirst for revenge, her vision of alignment was obscured. But he couldn’t remember her. She knew it, she glimpsed the memories his mind contained—he knew he had a sister, but knew nothing about her.
Kim Sunggyu 8 years ago
@Jung Soojung It was as if his mind had became an open book, with its pages blown by the wind so fast that what's in it became blurred - but nothing is ever too fast for Sunggyu. Somehow he was brought into a journey through his past, some blurry, some vividly real, even the memory of the torment he went through...

'You can choose out. We're not forcing you.'

'I'm not doing it for anyone. I'm doing this so that no one will have to experience what I did...'

'...but you may die.'

'I already did two years ago. What's the difference?'

By the end of it, just as the Seer gasped and opened her eyes, he did the exact same. His own breathing was labored, the pain still not going away, but his eyes caught hers - the first time he'd looked at her clearly, and she was crying. It didn't make sense. Sunggyu figured she had already accessed his memories - but why?

Then his eyes fell onto the locket once more, the one hanging on her neck.

'We didn't find your sister.'

"Looks like I got caught after all," Sunggyu said, almost a whisper above the wind.

His mission was either to get her to join S.H.I.E.L.D or to kill her if she wouldn't. He had ultimately failed to convince her, and he could only wonder as to why the Seer hadn't actually incapacitate him yet. But it looked like he would have to defy his mission for once.

"That locket... how...?"
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
Her own childhood memories flashed before her very eyes as her eyes caught the same locket she wore for so long, symbolizing her past she held onto so dearly as though it was the only thing anchoring her sanity to existence.

Her initial task was to get into his head, dig through the information coming from S.H.I.E.L.D. And if he resists, she might have to alter his memory so he’ll take their side. Yet instead, she found herself kneeling down next to the male, a hand reaching down to touch his locket. The most intricate details were so similar to hers, so similar to the gift she got from her mother… the gift even her brother had.

And she lifted her gaze to the male’s face, the hand previously tracing the locket now by his temple.

Next moment, she was in his head. In his memories.

“Tag, you’re it!”
“Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D., my boy.”
“We didn’t find your sister…”

Memories, some so vague, some so vivid. She saw his pain, felt his pain—those times he was experimented on. She felt his torment as the new cells merged with his current ones. She saw how willingly he abided to the organization who took him in, how he found his own sanctuary in S.H.I.E.L.D. How willingly he followed their instructions, and how willingly he now works for them. She saw his commitment—a commitment so strong.

She was wrong. She was wrong /all/ along. And he was right.

She’s on the wrong side. She’s been lied onto; tricked, manipulated, controlled. She fell into such a trap, believing all these years that the kin she had been looking for is already dead, his whole existence wiped from the surface. But yet here he was, his memory of their childhood seemingly sealed away, only bits of it unlocked.

But everything she saw was enough for her to know the truth.

Krystal let out a gasp as she opened her eyes to see that she was back to reality. Her breathing was ragged and uneven, as she stumbled backwards. “You...” she began, her hands trembling. Her vision was a blur, and only then did she realize that she was already shedding tears. “I can’t believe it… how could this be…”

She had her anger directed to the wrong people all along.

@Jung Soojung When he stops, he becomes vulnerable.

The red energy blast had thrown the male against a tree, and the never-seen Chaser was finally revealed to be a man with dark brown hair, clad in a tight-fitting black Kevlar with blue stripes, sprawled on the white snow blanket. Blood stained one corner of his pale lips.

The Chaser was caught... for once.

"You were saying, Chaser?"

Sunggyu's ears rang; the Seer's words had came as almost a faint echo. He knew he should be running - with his eyes half-opened he could see her red dress, coming closer and closer... but his limbs refused to move. There was a burning pain in his chest where her magic hits him and a searing pain at the back of his head where it hits the tree.

And the last thing he saw was the gleam of the same locket that he wore on his neck, just before his vision shifted.

'Gyu! Come back here!'

'No way, you'll tag me!'

Laughter filled the air when he finally relented for her to return the tag to him, though it didn't really take long for him to tag her back. She had been a little girl, no more than six...

But who was she?
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu How ironic could it be for the Seer to be blinded, and all Krystal could do was to merely stand there and wait until she could be given an opening, so as she could /actually/ make an accurate blow.

What the male said earned another scoff from the female. Good? How are they good? And how are they protecting the world? When even the life of her brother was taken away. He was killed. Her only family. How was that good? What did a ten-year-old boy fourteen years ago do to deserve such cruel, cruel fate?

It seemed as though the odds were suddenly on her side, as she was given the opportunity to actually glimpse his solid figure—and she wasted no time to attack. It was such a surprise for him to show sudden vulnerability, but there was no point on dwelling on it for too long, or else it’ll be her loss.

“Oh, you bet I wouldn’t.” With a flash of red light, she managed to hit him square in his chest.

Now she has the upperhand.

A triumphant smirk graced her lips as she walked towards the male.

“You were saying, Chaser?”

But right then and there, a familiar chain in his neck rendered her frozen, and the smug look that previously donned her features contorted into surprise. Slowly, her hand reached for the locket that hung on her neck—the locket that holds such precious memories.

The same accessory hung loosely on the Chaser’s neck.
Kim Sunggyu 8 years ago
@Jung Soojung Almost gliding above the snow due to his speed, Sunggyu easily avoided the blast—though it was enough warning for him. The Seer was really as powerful as they said her to be, and he could estimate the power of that raw energy; it wasn't something he could survive from. Not on that level, at least.

Each time, he zoomed near, each time, she missed. He was right about himself, though—she couldn't touch him. Not while he maintain the speed.

"The deaths caused by the ones I work for? They are the ones protecting this world from a total destruction, Seer... I /am/ on the right side."

Or are you too blinded to see it, the same way you're too blinded to see me?

"You can't catch me," he said, this time even daring to whisper right by her ear before zooming away once more, timing his pace such that she wouldn't have the time to react. "You /won't/."

But for the first time, he made a fatal blunder.

'Tag, you're it!'

'Stop, you're too fast!'

'You can't catch me!'

'Gyu, come back here!'

With the recollection, the male's profile solidified itself a few meters by her side.

Open.

Vulnerable.
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu Krystal gritted her teeth as she felt the gust of wind passing by behind her. There was no way she could get into his head with such speed; she couldn’t focus on her target. All she could see was the bluish blur each time he zooms by. There was no doubt that indeed, he might be useful. But why would a mutant like him work for S.H.I.E.L.D? Her brother, who could’ve lived alongside her for all these years, was killed by such cruel organization. Doesn’t he know? Or was he one of those who intended to end her only kin’s life?

The thought fueled her rage. An aura of red emanated from her hands, and she blasted the tree nearby in evident frustration. “Misused?” she scoffed, “I stay loyal to those who promised to avenge the death caused by the ones you work for, Chaser. I am doing this in my own personal will.”

Why would she be misused? They gave her a sanctuary. They gave her protection.

… then again, was it really her being given protection? Or was she the one giving them protection, through the loyalty she gives and the lies they put inside her head? No, she thought. He shouldn’t be the one getting into her head. That was /her/ job, not his. “This is my place. This is where I belong.”

Who was he anyway, to tell her where she belongs and where she doesn’t? He knew nothing of her loss. “Come out, Chaser. Aren’t you tired of running away? You can’t run away forever.” A reddish fleck donned her dark orbs as she hit another tree. How frustrating could it be for the Seer to feel blind with the Chaser’s speed. As accurate her visions may be, speed was not her forte.

“How about you, Chaser? Don’t you feel like you’re misused? Are you sure you’re on the right side?”
Kim Sunggyu 8 years ago
@Jung Soojung The less goes with him, the better. Sunggyu knew all too well what power she wield; having agents as backups would've been too risky. She could turn them against him and they'd just end up a needless burden. In this case, it had became a one-to-one fight... and he'd been too sure that he would never get caught. Not with a speed that makes the falling snow crystals looked like they took forever to reach the ground.

Then his eyes caught it: red, a tiny speckle of red mixed with black amongst white. Right in front of the door. Smirking, the male passed by her back, leaving a moderate gust of wind in his trail that had blown a few strands of her hair up.

He needed to talk to her... but how, without opening the chances for her to influence him with her magic?

"Too slow, Seer," he taunted, almost playfully. Her color stood out in the midst of the snow blanket covering the forest, whereas he was quite sure she would've seen the trail of his aura—only that no one could follow his speed. The trail disappeared between the trees, went another round, and stopped behind a tree by her right side in no more than three milliseconds.

"Tell me," Sunggyu spoke into his earphone. "Don't you feel like you're being misused?"

Doubt. It was doubt he needed to get into her mind.

"You shouldn't be here. This isn't your place."

Like red in the midst of white.
Jung Soojung [A] 8 years ago
@Kim Sunggyu Krystal’s eyes narrowed outside the window, glaring down from the third floor of the building. It was only the light coming from the fading sun that illuminated the dark room she stood amidst, but darkness has never been a problem. Nevertheless, the Seer /sees/. She stood amongst the shadows, and despite the blaring sound of the alarm resonating throughout what seemed to be a deserted building, she remained in her current spot, unmoving.

It was the taunting a few moments after that willed her out of her reverie, however.

The Chaser has apparently found his way to her.

“Seer,” the voice of her superior echoed in the deserted room, and she needn’t turn around to see whether where he was standing. Instead, she kept her eyes directed to the forest spreading outside the window, trying to glimpse even the blur of the male who goes by the alias, Chaser. “He’s here.”

“I can /see/ that,” her response came out as a snarl.

“You know what to do.”

‘Course she does. It was the one task she carried ever since they managed to get their eyes on the Chaser’s information. ‘We need him,’ they said. They needed him on their side, and not on the other side.

With one last look, she turned around and stormed out of the room, each and every confident step getting nearer and nearer outside the abandoned building. The Chaser had successfully lured the Seer out of her den, but she could care less. She’s what he needed, wasn’t she? And he’s what she needed, as well. It was only fair that they face each other, needless to get their soldiers involved.

And she was so sure she’ll be able to get through his head and make him an ally.

“I’m here, Chaser,” she began as soon as she was out in the open. She was welcomed by the forest stretching wide all over the place, but she kept her gaze straight ahead. “Come out, come out wherever you are.”

@Jung Soojung "Sunggyu, I don't think you should—" came the protest of the black-clad female sitting in front of the screens. On the wall, a metallic logo of S.H.I.E.L.D reflected the sunlight shining through the wide window panels. It was silent otherwise, save for the soft whirring of the machines present inside the room. Behind her, a certain brown-haired male stood, almost unmoving.

"Do it. There's no other way. If we don't taunt her, she won't come out," said the male. "That girl sees everything. You were the one who says they've been accessing my records. This time... I'll be the bait myself."

"But that's exactly what they wanted! She's dangerous, you could get killed—"

"/Only/ if she can match my speed." Sunggyu replied with finality.

That was three hours prior.

Now he ran, outside the perimeters of the secret organization's base, unseen by mortal eyes. They had successfully hijacked the organization's communication wavelength, and he'd just sent the message to them—personally.

The Chaser never hides.

"Come and get me. If you can, that is."

It didn't even take him another second to paralyze the guards in the outer gate, jump past the 20-metres-wall surrounding the forests, and purposely going past their detector—every single alarm on the building must have resounded.

"Seer... I know you can see me." He chuckled.

Five more guards in the inner perimeter just went down the moment he finished his sentence, and the only thing could be seen on the cameras was nothing but a millisecond blur.

"Or... can you?"

Can you chase the Chaser?
