Appearance and Aesthetic ( 06 / 10 )

i really love the way the description looks, i think the dullness of the colors used really sets the mood for what's in store as far as the plot goes. however, i am not a big fan of the room layouts; i feel like the pale blue color in the majority of the layouts ruin the aesthetic that was originally brought to the table with the description, and the rest of the rooms' layouts are too large and distracting in my opinion. if the room layouts were more simplistic and followed the initial color scheme of the whole roleplay, this score would be a lot higher.

Atmosphere ( 07 / 10 )

there's not too many roleplays that can pull off a darker vibe roleplay, but i think forever dead captures it well. the plot helps to set the mood, but it's ultimately up to the roleplayers to keep that atmosphere going, and i believe the majority of serious roleplaying going on does a good job of not breaking the eerie vibe that the roleplay is meant to have..

Activity ( 05 / 10 )

the roleplay isn't too fast paced, and there are a few inactive members that need to be cleaned out from what i can see, but the slowness may also be due to the fact that the place is not booming with characters. personally, i'm not always a fan of faster paced roleplays and i appreciate the fact that the roleplaying that is going on, while it may take a little longer to see replies show up, is serious and detailed.

Maintenance and Admin Skill ( 06 / 10 )

as i mentioned in the activity portion, there are inactive members that are left in the masterlist longer than i personally think they should be, as well characters that were dropped that should be cleaned out, but i'd say all in all, the maintenance of the roleplay is about average. this roleplay is the admin's first rp and i think that, for their first time, they're doing well, they don't have a problem communicating with their members and it seems like, if issues arise, they would work with you in a kind way to solve them like a good admin should. i would like to see some events or plot drops happening more frequently, though, because as of right now there are none and it feels like the majority of the rpers are doing similar things in terms of plots because there's no events or massive plots that are helping along with muse.

Motivation and Muse ( 07 / 10 )

as i've mentioned, the roleplay is not fast paced, which can sometimes kill muse. however, i am still inspired when i personally roleplay there because of the uniqueness of the plot and my roleplay partners there. it wouldn't hurt if the roleplay was a tad more active, however, and might boost muse and inspiration for everyone if the admins could bring some fresh ideas in the form of events to the table.

Originality ( 08 / 10 )

this is where i believe the roleplay really shines. of course, there have been zombie aus in the past, but i haven't seen any of them that are as in depth as forever dead is, though. technically speaking, the plot itself is not so original- it's your standard "science experiment gone wrong" zombie set up, however, the twist lies within what the citizens did as a result: they formed clans to survive together. there are plenty of clans to choose from that have a wide range of abilities and skills, and if that doesn't tickle your fancy, then your character can be an outsider. within the clans, there are different ranks, so not everyone who is part of the same clan must do the exact same things. the fact that you can be part of a larger group of people does not only make the rp more believable, but i personally believe that it opens up more plotting opportunities.

Roleplaying ( 05 / 10 )

i've mentioned a few times before that roleplaying is not super frequent within the roleplay, but i think that the quality of the replies you give out and receive if you are part of forever dead are pretty good. the majority of active, roleplaying members write in third character and are somewhere between semipara - multi para. i do think this could be improved, but that it will take the admins setting the roleplaying example by being more active and interactive than they are now, but it is definitely possible to boost the activity rate!

Final thoughts

i honestly really like this roleplay and appreciate its originality with the plot, the kindness of the admins, and how many interesting doors it opens up when you roleplay there. the few grievances i do have with the roleplay are mostly cosmetic and maintenance based. i also think that the admins would benefit greatly by setting an example in terms of activity to help boost their stats. all in all, this is a fine roleplay but it has potential to be excellent with just a little bit of help!
