@Diana Havilliard Hearing the news that his parents wanted him out of Terrasen, it was somewhat of a shot at his pride. He had only ever known his home and didn't want to be anywhere near Witches for an extended amount of time. Acting as an ambassador between the Witches and Terrasen was something he knew he could manage, but being so close to Diana after all these years - Something wasn't setting right. As he moved to his chambers, he mumbled to himself, hands shoved into his pockets and head down, moving through the halls to the stairs and up towards the direction of his room.

He took his time packing his luggage and documents he would be required to take with him on their journey. He reminded himself to give them his luggage while he just flew there on his own free will. As he rummaged through the desk in his chambers, he came across childhood letter that he had forced towards the back of the bottom drawers; letters between Diana and Remi when they had been in their early teens. A smile crept onto his lips as he opened the many folded letters and allowed his past to surface. "Little brat..." he mumbled to himself as he read her writing. Perhaps this visit wouldn't be so bad after all. He could also take this opportunity to prove to his parents that he was capable of responsibilities and that he was a man and no longer the boy they will always see him as.

Stacking his luggage near the door for the servants to carry down to the entryway where they would depart, he turned from his room and moved toward the chambers the Queens were staying in for the past few days. Perhaps he would run into Diana and be able to speak to her with a chilled tone, rather than the stone wall he had cast up since seeing her.

Diana.
A name he would never forget.

@Remigius "Remi" Whitethorn Galathynius “Here I am thinking that your charms could’ve possibly managed to woo the Prince.” Diana’s mother spoke as she came upon the clearing with a laugh teasing at her lips. Rolling her eyes, Diana shook her head with a low chuckle.
“Funny for you to assume I’d bed him by now, Mom.”
“I’m just saying, you have your father’s personality. The way he woos and charms women.”
“Just like how he did with you?”
At that, her mother’s gaze darkened. Hissing a bit, Diana knew she had hit a soft spot in the way she had suddenly closed herself off. Fine, be that way.
Ever since her father’s death, Diana had never forgiven her mother. Never forgiven her for the fear that had made itself pronounced in the queen. The so called Queen of the Witches and Queen Regent of Adarlan. Kinslayer. Diana never found out why she was so scared. But maybe it was better to keep it that way. In her time at the court, her mother ruled with an iron grip on the court of the Adarlanian nobles. But her mother was a woman of vengeance. She wasted none of it on the court that had threatened her reign as the regent until Diana had came to power. For the eighty years that had gone by, Diana ascended to the throne of Adarlan while her mother remained as queen of the Witches. Diana’s reign, she ruled against the nobles. Striking terror and power against each and every one of them. She made sure to let the nobles know who was their queen. And now, the snow haired beauty was standing beside a near replica of her. On the grounds of Terrasen. Where 100 years ago, the Valg War waged. Where Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, Erawan, and Maeve fought with fire and darkness. Where her mother and father fought for the better future. Yet… this was their better future?
“Prince Remigius will be travelling with us to the Wastes and Adarlan. He’ll be acting as Terrasen’s ambassador. So please, refrain from scaring him off so soon.”
Quickly, a wicked grin made itself pronounced upon the plump lips of Diana. Icy gaze returning to that of the molten gold of her mother’s. “I can’t guarantee it mother. I do take baths in the blood of young maidens. How else do I keep my complexion so clean?”
“You’re wicked.”
“Guess where I got it from?”
With that, the two queens laughed. The daughter and the mother. And with that, the two wicked beauties returned to the castle to pack for their return to the Wastes and Adarlan.

@Diana Havilliard As he lounged in the corner of the library, he heard faint footsteps approach from around the book shelves.
"You could have been more pleasant to be around, Remi." His mother said as she leaned on the shelf closest to him. He looked up from his book with a coy smile painted on his lips and tilted his head.
"I could have done many things, Mother. But I am true to myself and I will not put on a fake face." He said quietly as he raised his eyebrows towards Aelin. His mother was beautiful, eyes so striking and hair that was between blonde and brown, coiling down her back. She smiled at him as she stepped forward, her dress sweeping along the stone floor, she moved a hand out to remove the book from his grasp.
"You will be King one day, Remigius. You need to start acting like one." She said sternly as she turned the book over in her hand to read the spine. A side smile appeared on her face as she took in the title of the book. "This is one of my favorites. I wasn't aware we had a copy in the library." She said as she placed the book on the nearby table. Remi lifted his head to look into her eyes, she knew damn well that he took that book from her private collection, but he didn't need to admit that to her. She was smart enough to figure that out on her own.
"You and Father will rule for many more years and I will remain in the militia where I belong. I am not fit to rule a Kingdom. You know that as well as father does. My men need me as much as I need them for support. I will always belong on the battlefield. Not on a throne with a crown upon my head." He said as he stood from the velvet chair. He shoved his hands into his pockets as he stood before his mother. "But I will try to be better. For the sake of our Kingdom and for your sanity." He said softly as his face became more stern, no emotions visible on his smooth skin. His mother nodded towards the door and turned from the corner of the library, expecting her son to follow. Remi obliged and followed her out and down towards the throne room where Rowan awaited on his throne. His piercing eyes watched them as they strode through the giant oak doors and down the stone floor towards the raised platform where the thrones stood. Aelin ascended the few stairs to the top of the dais and took a seat in her throne. Remi bit his bottom lip as he approached his father.
"You will leave for the Wastes and Adarlan with the Queen Diana and her mother when they depart." Rowan said with a mischievous smile on his lips. "We think it would be best for you to get to know the Queen better and act as an ambassador for our Kingdom. There /is/ peace between our lands, but we hope that you will take this task seriously and become the man we both know you are capable of being." His father said as he gripped the arms of the throne tighter. Remi knew he was anything but handful to his parents. From a young age he was always an outcast with the court children and a rebel who never learned right from wrong. He got a lot of his personality from his mother, and had always done as he pleased when it came to living his life. This was something Remi did /not/ want to do. He did not want to go anywhere near the Queen of the Wastes and Adarlan. There was something about her that made him uneasy but the challenge it presented was clawing at the back of his mind. He wanted to find out more about her. He wanted to figure her out because she was a mystery he wanted to solve. Nodding his head towards his father, he spoke sternly, "I will do as you ask, Father." and as the words left his lips, his mother cast him a surprised look and raised her eyebrows.
"Perhaps you will learn a thing or two while you are away." She said politely as she crossed her hands in her lap.
Remi furrowed his eyebrows and spoke quietly. "How long will I need to stay?"
Aelin opened to speak, but the words came from Rowan. "However long it takes." He said sternly.
His mother and father both looked down at him with smiles on their lips and before Remi left the room, he bowed low and turned from his parents.

@Diana Havilliard Remi flew with the winds of Terrasen, sweeping high above the forest tree tops. As he dipped lower towards the top of the trees, he saw her. Her white hair catching the light as her face peered up towards the skies. Her eyes were closed but he couldn't help himself from landing on a nearby tree branch and gazed down at her. She was a true beauty; someone he should stay far away from if he didn't want to get into trouble. In his bird form, he watched her move over the roots of the trees, and dip in terrain. It took a moment for him to realize she was missing a good part of her gown and he laughed to himself at the thought of her ripping it to shreds out of frustration. He stayed along the high branches of the Ornythian trees, gazing at her as she walked. With great ease, he moved from branch to branch, keeping quiet and staying close to her. There was something about her that kept his attention and it wasn't just her good looks; it was something more, something in his heart and soul that pulled to her. As he saw her continue to walk through the darkness the woods offered, he took to the skies, returning to the castle and the great library of Ornyth. Landing on the balcony outside the library, he returned to his human form. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he waltzed to the further corner of the library and took up the book he had stashed in that corner.

@Remi Whitethorn Galathynius Diana began making her way through the paths of the forest, cursing softly as the branches caught at the sheer cloth of the dress. Then, without much of a care in the world, Diana ripped the fabric of the dress. Allowing it to tear off and allow her more freedom to move without the added weight of the gown weighing her down. Which left her in the lace bodice with the crimson underlayer of the sheer gown she had torn off. Although she pitied the tailors whom had spent long on perfecting the craft of her dress, they should’ve known that it would’ve been in vain. Her feet was taking her to gods knows where, but before she knew it, she was back to being a child once she had set foot upon the forest clearing. Free of responsibilities and the weight of the crown upon her shoulders. She wished for nothing more than to fly on the wings of her Wyvern. Peering up into the sky, Diana fluttered her eyes closed at the warmth of the sun that shone down upon her cold skin before she continued on. Allowing her mind to run through memories from decades, centuries ago. Memories of the laughing Remigius and the giggling Diana. When they would pretend they were knights, king and queen, when they were free. Quickly, Diana shook her head. No, she needed to act like a queen, even now, her ripping the dress she wore would be frowned upon by the courts in Adarlan. She wasn't a child anymore. She was a woman. A Queen.

@Diana Havilliard When her eyes met his, his crooked smile returned to his face. As he felt her powers thrash towards the window, a hairline fracture formed along the stained window he was perched in front of. Squinting at her for destroying the work of art, he bit his bottom lip and cursed her under his breath, moving towards the doorway of the gardens. Watching her retreat towards the woods along the castle grounds, he leaned on the doorframe, admiring the view as she disappeared into the woods. Once her outline vanished through the tree line, he moved into the garden grounds and jumped to the sky; transforming into his father's well-known hawk form and took to the skies.

@Remi Whitethorn Galathynius Curling her iron nails over the branch, Diana tilted her head for a moment as the iron nail began to dig into a bud. Yet, she stopped, pulling back as she breathed in a low breath. She felt tight. Her chest constricted while the hairs at the back of her neck prickled, and her eyes moved towards the window. Where the prince stood and Diana could’ve sworn their eyes met. Therefore, she smirked coyly up towards him, which she sent out a lash of her father’s raw magic, striking against the glass of the stained window that the crown prince peered in through. The control on her raw magic was thin, just barely able to surpress it’s power from breaking the window. But it did leave a crack where it struck. And that was enough to get her point across. A taunt, and a warning to him. And she ce again, heading towards the treeline that bordered the staghorns. If he continued to follow her, so be it. She thought to herself.

@Diana Havilliard As Remi watched her turn on her heels, the memory and sound of his name on her tongue caused his heart to flutter. A wicked grin crossed his face as his hands found their place within his pockets and he quietly followed the Queen. Keeping to the shadows of the halls, he followed her at a safe distance. There was something about her that was enticing and he wanted to find out more about her. The distant memories of their childhood played to light in his mind as he recalled them running through the fields of Adarlan and the fields of Ornyth; laughter filling the air. A true smile beckoned to his lips as he recalled her childish laugh. He kept his head down as he followed her through the halls and when saw her turn for the Gardens; he stopped and stood near the closest window that looked out towards the gardens. As he leaned along the stone walls of the Orynthian castle; he watched her walk through the hedges, a smirk on her lips as she took in the green beauty of his home.

@Remi Whitethorn Galathynius Once they were clear from the sights of the throne room, Diana slipped her arm away from the man’s hold. Her features returning to their cold facade while her eyes met those emeralds of his. In the light streaming through the open air halls of Ornyth, she couldn’t help but notice the ring of faint gold around the pupil of his eyes.

“Remigius Whitethorn Galathynius. Remi.” Diana responded once he had spoken her name as she rose a perfect brow towards the man whom wielded gold that had been spun into silk like strands that rivaled the shimmering silk of the Stygian Spiders of the Ruhnn Mountains. The way his lips and his tongue rolled her name sent a blissful chill through her spine. How odd it was. And she had to admit, she was rather offended by the man’s sudden disposition, but then again, she’d rather be alone than deal with a child.

“If that is the hospitality of the Crown Prince of Ornyth then so be it. I hope your day is as pleasant as you are.” Diana informed the prince before she turned and began making her way down the halls. Her hands reaching to hike the dress up to her ankles while she made her way away from the tall Galathynius. If the meeting was over, she’d rather dress comfortably instead of the cumbersome cloths of the dress they had provided her. This side of her was foreign, the attire and the outfit she bore was of little to no comfort to her, it just reminded her of the responsibilities that came with the gold circlet nestled upon it’s bed of snow. Glancing at her appearance in the polished marble of the walls Diana pursed her lips together once again at the breathtaking sight of the foreign beauty just before she turned and started towards the gardens. Just as she remembered them, in the budding spring air, the fluffed snow of the Ornythian garden was soft and compact, and from afar, she could see the tiny green buds that had begun to bloom. Which graced a smile upon her features at the sight. At least Spring had the benefits of growth and rebirth.

@Diana Havilliard He narrowed his eyes towards the stranger - or was she a stranger? - when his Mother had asked him to take the Queen Diana around the palace grounds. A tour? He stood from his perch on his throne and descended the marble stairs as he stood before the beautiful witch.
"With pleasure, Mother." He spoke softly as he extended an arm to the woman. As she raised her eyebrow at his extended arm, she linked her arm through his and together stepped towards the grand doors. Casting a quick glance over his shoulder towards his father - A nod was the only response he received.

As the two, arm-in-arm left the the throne room, Remi cleared his throat and looked over to the witch, letting his arm fall from hers. The linked arms was all for show. He could care less than to wonder how she felt about his gesture.
"Diana Havilliard..." He said softly as he looked over at her as they walked from the room, "Is a tour truly what you fancy? Or can we go about our lives and say we 'toured' the palace..." He said almost bored. He had no intentions of escorting her through the palace. If she wanted a tour, she could ask her servant who would be attending to her during their stay; or for all he cared - she could walk the palace alone. As he looked over at her, something in his gut twisted at the sight of her. He squinted his eyes toward the white haired beauty as he stopped cold in his tracks mid-way through the halls. There was something about her that made him sick; sick in a way that caused butterflies to flutter about his stomach and his heart to beat faster. He shoved his hands in his pockets to stop from shaking as he took her in. Examining her from head to toe and back up. She was beautiful, truly - through and through. She had her father's dark good looks and her mother's attitude; a deadly combination and Remi couldn't help himself but stare.

@Remi Whitethorn Galathynius Remi. Why was his name so familiar? Why did it set off such a-
Remi. THE Remi from her childhood. She should've known. His blonde hair and his emerald eyes, who knew that he had grown beautifully. However, the both of his parents were Fae. It would make sense for him to grow inhumanely beautiful. Once she returned to reality, Diana caught onto the last her mother's words.

"- Queen of Adarlan and The Wastes."

With ease, Diana curtsied. A graceful move that she had been taught and perfected during her times with the royal court in Adarlan. She caught sight of the prince’s gaze upon her. Which she returned with her own heated gaze. Those of the ocean meeting with those of rich pines as she gave him a wicked smile. She knew him. And surely, he knew her.

Aelin cleared before she began to speak. A welcoming speech for the two women whom stood before she stated that the palace of Ornyth would be hosting a ball- A ball! - for the two queens, and for the most recently coronated Queen of Adarlan and The Wastes. Dances? Balls? *More Gowns*? It was rather outrageous, just for a simple step up. But- maybe to the royals of Ornyth it was a big deal for the change of power between her mother down to her daughter. But surely, it’d be the same reign. Right?

Thinking not much more upon the matter, Diana shrugged it off.

“Remi,” Aelin turned to face her son, the green eyed beauty whom had been shamelessly checking her out. “Can you take Diana around the palace? I’m sure it’d be great to refreshen her memory of the palace. The parents have to talk.” Aelin informed her son. Which made Diana raise a brow questionably before she pressed her lips together. Secrets. Since when did her mother hold secrets from her?

@Diana Havilliard Remi was instructed to dress and move to the Throne Room. The Queen of Adarlan and the Wastes was to arrive at any moment. Dressing in his usual forest green attire, he moved to sit at the seat beside his father, Rowan Whitethorn. The seats were all made of gold, the flickering of the gems visible in the light seeping through the glorious windows of the Ornyth castle. Remi sat in the throne beside his father, his posture straight as the crown upon his head glistened; the emeralds casting light with each movement of his head. His mother had told him to "mind his manners", when the Crochan Queen and her daughter were to arrive. 'Daught?' Remi had thought when the mention of a female accompanying the Crochan Queen.

Remi had heard the news years ago of the passing of the King of Adarlan. The death had caused great heart ache to his mother; she didn't leave her rooms for a week at the news of the death of her beloved friend. Rowan had been by her side throughout the whole ordeal. Remi did what he did best at those times and vanished; training with his men in the militia.

As the doors creaked open to the throne room, the two women waltzed in. The shuffle of their dresses sweeping across the marble floors of the castle was the only sound to be heard. Rowan and Aelin both stood from their thrones as they approached their guests. Remi did not move from his seat upon the throne. His eyes met those of the young witch that walked next to the Queen of the Wastes and Adarlan. He lost his breath at the sight of her, he narrowed his eyes as he took her in and a crooked smile fell onto his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest as he stared upon the women. 'Interesting, indeed...' he though to himself as he examined the young witch. He felt as if he knew her in past life, or perhaps they had met before. As his mother and father embraced Manon and greeted the young witch, Remi didn't let his eyes fall from the young beauty.

"Welcome to Terrasen." Rowan could be heard saying as he turned to face Remi. "This is our son, Remi. Crowned prince of Terrasen." As he was introduced, he dipped his head in their direction; not standing from his perch upon the seat. His eyes were focused on the young witch, his heart fluttering in his chest, as a smile crossed his lips.

@Remi Whitethorn Galathynius Settled upon the back of a white wyvern, Diana fluttered her eyes shut upon feeling the warming southern breeze comb through her strands of striking hair. Allowing the strands to curl around her beautifully cut features she had inherited from her mother. Speaking of her mother, Manon flew beside her, the queen's long snow hair a stark contrast to Abraxos' midnight hide. Ornyth. How long has it been since she last been there? Decades, a near century. She couldn't help but wonder of the changes that could've occurred to Ornyth while she was sheltered by her mother. Did Queen Aelin add more gold? Did the Library expand? Did they get other children- Probably.

"Diana, behave when we're in Ornyth." Manon informed her daughter, causing Diana to roll her eyes and let out a soft chuckle. "Please, What will I do when I'm there?" In response, Manon's golden eyes narrowed. Which earned a laugh to fall past Diana's lips. Pulling at the reigns of her wyvern to soar to the skies with a child like stupor as the wyvern looped around to have her rider return to the side of her mother's own wyvern. "I promise. I'll control myself to the utmost respect for the royals and nobles of Terrasen." Diana spoke just before they caught sight of the glimmering golden towers of Ornyth. Nestled within the snowy peaked Staghorns, Diana flew through the skies to the stables where the queen and king of Ornyth made room for the Adarlanian Wyverns.

Climbing off her Wyvern, Diana peered up into the golden gates of the Ornythian palace. The Galathynius emblem the centerpiece at the oak doors. The slender built woman made her up to the gates. Her riding boots slapping against the white marble while the ebony cloak hung off her shoulders. She was dressed in clothes that was fit for riding, much like her mother's own attire. Escorted into a room for the servants to ready the Witch Queen and her mother. While her mother was dressed in colors of black and gold, Diana was fitted into cloths of crimson. Striking against her pale skin and making her shoulder length snow hair even more pronounced. Hair curled, and the gold circlet around her white hair, Diana took a glance in the gold laced mirror. The creature whom stared back with the striking eyes of sapphire ice was ethereal in no other words she had never seen before. The gown she wore was an off shoulder gown , the lace bodice cupped her full s, at her abdomen, anyone could see her pale skin through the lace that gathered at her slender waists, coming from her waists was a gradient from the blood crimson to a sheer gold. Every step she took, there was a shimmer, as if the creature that graced Diana's presence came from a realm of shining jewels and gold. From the corner of her eyes, Manon's lips had been brought into a small grin. "You're dressed in the Royal Adarlan Colors. I should've known." She stated before she took her daughter's slender hand. Diana's eyes returning to meet those of her mother's golden eyes. "Lets greet the king and queen." And with a nod, Diana made her way down the steps with her mother towards the throne room. Where they greeted the fae King and Queen of Terrasen, Aelin and Rowan Whitethorn Galathynius. Diana allowed her eyes to wander, and they landed on the boy whom sat beside the King and Queen.

Blonde hair, emerald eyes, why did he look so.. familiar? Diana struggled to rack through her mind. Who was he? and why did he stir awake a slumbering beast inside her?
