the dining pavilion is where campers gather to eat. each cabin has a table allocated to them and sitting with others is highly frowned upon. a flurry of nymphs will appear and provide you with the meal you're craving(don't ask how, you're better off not knowing).
at the centre of the pavilion is a large bonfire where you will offer a portion of your meal as an offering to the god or goddess of your choice. this is a ritual done at every single meal.
@w. yukhei A chortle slipped from Ten as he finished his apple juice, leaning his forearms on the table. “That sounds sad. Isn’t it fun to be with them?” At the question, Ten turned to look at his own table briefly, then explained, “I’m the only Deimos child in the camp, and since sitting with kids from other cabins is frowned upon, I tend to be on my own.” Shaking his head, he switched the topic. “So, you’re Eros’ kid. What can you do? Can you make people fall in love with each other at first sight? Are you good at archery? What is it like being the God of Love’s son?”
@l. chittaphon Lucas looked up from his food he had been pushing around idly. It wasn't that he didnt wanna eat it, its just that he was in his thoughts so he forgot to eat it. He only noticed this when he was approached by that deimos kid. "Yes Im Yukhei," His fork stopped moving around the plate and he smiled, a new distraction overtaking his mind. "I'm sitting by myself... because its easier this way. my brothers are idiots. I like the break from them. I can enjoy my food in peace." He glanced down and his food and started eating like he just remembered the food was there. "Why you do usually sit alone?"
@w. yukhei loud slurping noises resonated as ten drank his apple juice leisurely, sitting at the basically empty table meant for deimos' children — or /child/, in this case. with his chin propped on his palm and his plate clean of his second serving, ten scanned the dining pavilion before setting eyes upon a lone child of eros at his respective table. he was pretty sure there were other kids from the same parent, but they were perhaps occupied with other affairs if the male was eating by himself.
that's okay, he could keep company.
not even bothering the glares sent his way as he settled across the stranger, ten grinned at the eros boy. "hey!" he ransacked his brain for a name, trying to recall where he had seen the other and what his name was. "yukhei? is it?" he grinned and set his glass of apple juice down, barely any beverage left inside. "nice to meet you! i'm ten. why are you sitting alone?"
Different reactions could be seen within the pavilion, some are ecstatic, some are just plainly bored, some are shy and some are just downright rude for ditching the assembly and go back to their cabins; youth, ahh- Jaehyun couldn't blame these people since he'd done the same thing when he was just a new camper himself, though who knew it felt awful when you're on the receiving end. And maybe it was just purely coincidental, but as he intensely stared at those two guys who left their table while Chiron was speaking, both of them tripped over a huge log that came out of nowhere, or maybe his eyesight was just bad for noticing it in the first place.
'ayye man, let's go' one of the counselors tugged at Jae's arm seeing how he seemed to have zoned out of the world... again. But as soon as he snapped out from that brief trance and turned to leave the area, his peripheral vision caught a glimpse of a familiar figure and before completely turning to look at this person, Jaehyun thought hardly /dear father please don't tell me that's who I think it is please this is enough punishment, please/. "oh. no" and before the person could even leave at the same time as they were, his face went blank, not the usual blankness but a kind of deadpan expression which coincide to his heart pulsating like he'd just ran in a triathlon. "Sana" he unconsciously uttered fairly loud for his colleagues to hear.
'who?'
"Sana"
'you know them... how?'
"I'm sorry, I-uh I'm gonna catch up with you guys later, I just need to talk to someone"
'hey, you got some chores to do!'
"sorry, I'll be back soon'
And with that, he hurriedly jogs once the female's facade started to move further from the pavilion. "Sana, hey wait up!" he yelled in hopes for the latter to hear him.

"this is so embarrassing, do we really need to do this?"
'uhmm, this is your 2nd year with us, Jae are you still not used to this?'
"are you kidding me?"
He shoots an amused look at the direction of Dionysus aka Mr. D while the older male chug down a can of soda. This commencement exercise during the welcoming of new and old campers was a big bummer to Jaehyun. He hates having to introduce himself over and over and over again, though he is somewhat relieved when he "convinced" the higher ranks to not do a "show" because that's the last straw for Jae to lose it. Dance? Sing? Hell NO.
As Chiron finished greeting everyone in the pavilion, he immediately called out the staffs' name one by one in front of everyone, like a pre-school kid. He rolled his eyes for the nth time and alas, the last name to be called; Jae was handed the mic and asked him, like the rest, to introduce himself. "Hi my name is Jaehyun, I'm the Armory Auditor, have a nice stay here."
@s. seungwan Dove chuckled "yes of course I've been preparing. I have everything ready for the expected newcomers that'll be needing my help, and I got in some extra training so I'm all set for the summer sessions" she playfully and gently punched her friends arm before chuckling and bringing them to the lake. "How was your winter tour? What countries did you go to this time?"
@s. seungwan Dove chuckled at her friends enthusiastic look on her appearance "I just cut my hair Seungwan nothing more." Smiling she linked arms with her friend "Of course I dont mind. You know I enjoy your home cooked food"
She smiled warmly "So shall we head out to the lake? Its such a lovely day out"
@s. seungwan Dove had spent the morning getting together notes for the newcomers she would be speaking with come the start of the summer. She was due to meet them tomorrow morning and wanted to have everything just right.
Today however, she had a lunch date with her best friend followed by either a bit of sparring or chilling out by the lake, depending on what news was coming.
When Dove saw her friend she smiled warmly and waved, walking towards the dining pavilion.
Seungwan is a daughter of Apollo and though they couldnt sit at a table together, there were no rules against taking their lunch elsewhere to eat together.
"Hey girl" Dove said as she embraced her friend "how have you been miss fame?" She teased lightly as she pulled back and tucked her hair back behind her ear.
