Today was the day.

The day that Izuku was going to get himself a kitten. He has always thought about it, but with online college getting in the way in the past and now work was beginning to get even busier he just could not do it. Today, however, was the perfect day to get a kitten. Izuku did not know where to start, but he did know that once he connects with a kitten he plans to take it. This is going to be hard considering he is a cat lover and all the cats in the windows were practically begging him to take them home. Yet, there was one kitten that caught his eye, a white fluffball minding its own business. Izuku sighed and stared at the small kitten.

@takami keigo that unruly golden hair and eyes are enough to send a wave of memories crashing upon him. it’d be so long since he’d seen hawks and now here he was, manning the pet store, ironic. truth be told, he wasn’t exactly a pet kind of person, preferred to ride solo, a lone wolf so to say but he found himself adopting the neighbourhood’s stray cat if it meant he could talk to hawks. “i’m looking for uh— things to take care of a cat.” he hesitates for a brief moment, tugging down the mask slightly though not enough to reveal his scars. his far fetched excuse of it being tattoos could only take him so far so it was better for him to hide it. “i’m new to the whole loving parent concept.”

@dabi sitting behind the counter hand prompt on his chin, scanning the magazine for sales on groceries as he was gonna flip through the next page the bell on the door rang. he whipped his head to that direction to see a guy in a hoodie and mask, scrunching his eyebrows together staring at that person who which he was intrigued. "i haven't seen him around here is he new?" mumbling under his breath. he stood up walking to the figure who was roaming at the pet accessories with a "smile for the customer" blurted out " hello there do you need any assistance?" leaning to the side to see what the hooded person was looking at.

he'd been minding his own business initially, busy trying to figure out how to work a smartphone, but one of the very strays that was on its way over to keigo's shop had caught his eye. mostly because it was a black cat with blue eyes similar to his own and it was staring at him and repeatedly getting in his way up until he was soon in front of the shop's entrance. kneeling, he looks the cat in the eye and spares it a small grin, saying in a light tone: "i have half a mind to kick you for getting in my way, but you're lucky you're cute."

opening up the store is a daily routine for keigo, inserting the key in the doorknob looking around the place if there is any stocks left on the retails this was his life now in this establishment sure customers come and go with questions why he is wearing winter clothes on a summer season he has a secret that shouldn't be known. he wanted to start anew in this world leaving his previous life. when he checked if all things are cleared he flipped the sign on the door to "open". his first customers were always stray cats which scratches and meowing on his door hence he leaves kibbles on the front of his store. keigo etched a grin whilst looking at the felines happily eating. he thought to himself this was a nice day.
