legionnaires
the umbrella term referring to the twelfth legion. soldiers at camp jupiter must provide their service for 10 years before they may retire to either new rome(a city exclusively for demigods and legacies) or somewhere else in america.
all legionnaires are expected to participate in camp activites such as war games, latin, chariot racing and more until they recieve a letter of recommendation from either the demigods family or a centurions personal recommendation to join a cohort.

probatio
a probatio is a roman demigod who has not yet proven themselves. to move onto the next rank, they need to have completed at least one years service, are claimed or perform an act of valour.
fifth cohort- centurion ( leader name )
where the unwanted campers or those with no letters of recommendations are sent. the fifth cohort is generally considered the worst of them all. after the events of the prophecy of the seven, the fifth cohort as regained the respect of their fellow soldiers back.
fourth cohort- centurion ( leader name )
the next level up. they accept soldiers who, while recieving letters of recommendation, are not as war savvy as the third, second and fifth cohort.
third cohort- centurion ( leader name )
the next level up. they accept soldiers who, while recieving letters of recommendation, are not as war savvy as the second and fifth cohort.
second cohort- centurion ( leader name )
the second most pretigious cohort in the legion. the second cohort only accepts those with multiple recommendation letters.
first cohort - centurion ( leader name )
the most prestigious of the five. the first cohort accepts only the best soldiers in the camp; as such, they are smallest but the deadliest. you must have multiple letters of recommendation to be able to join.

messengers are the demigods who deliver messages around cam jupiter and specifically to the praetor(s). it is a specialised position you can only recieve if getting a letter of recommendetion. messengers are exempt from grunt work such as digging ditches or conjugating latin verbs.
medic
Medics, also known as healers, help out injured legionnaires. They use nectar, ambrosia, unicorn draught, Lemurian spice, and healing balms that consisted of crocus, myrrh and unicorn horn shavings to heal the injured legionnaires.
