@☾ asahi shirabuki It was wrong, yet Rune could not deny the excitement he felt in this very moment. It has been years since Rune was able to have a proper fight with another. Usually it would be an overwhelming win, but there was finally someone to match up with him. And Rune wasn't even trying that hard.
Rune found himself cutting off a guttural growl. What could of possessed him to feel such hunger? The scent, the sudden salivating his mouth overflowed with-- what the hell was this.
"I should ask you the same." He's never smelled something so divine and... able to taste just by inhaling it. He'd never felt like this before. And why was this even happening? Rune then looked down at his dagger. Blood. That wasn't his. It didn't make sense. All from one cut? Ridiculous. Of course in that moment, in his head began to spin. Just from being exposed to blood? This wasn't normal. What did Asahi do to him?
One thing he knew, do not let Asahi have distance. With the flick of his wrist, the dagger flipped positions in his hands, forming a grip better for throwing. In one swift movement, he threw the knife with quite heavy force from his shoulder; directly aiming for his student's head. He knew Asahi wasn't just going to let it hit him. Either he would deflect or dodge, and what anyone would do; he dodged. The dagger slightly passed the threshold of the target, and Rune was suddenly in place of the dagger; turning in mid air to round house kick Asahi's body. Rune tried his best to control the gravity of his kick, the force of this attack sending the other vampire flying to the wall. Once a foot was able to touch the floor, he let the momentum of his kick spin him around again to throw the dagger once again; significantly harder than last to increase his speed. The dagger his the wall only inches away from the others head, only a full three second time frame from when Rune kicked them. Rune appeared in it's place not a moment after, hand gripped on the grip of his knife, and the other around Asahi's throat.
Rune put all of his pent up strength in the grip around his dagger, minimizing the pressure he had around his student. Rune wanted to /squeeze/, but he knew he couldn't, already puncturing their skin enough with his nails. His teeth gritted, harsh and tight.
"I suggest you back down before it's too late, /Shirabuki-san/..." A warning. Rune wished not to go any further, yet he also could never back down if continued.
@☾ asahi shirabuki Rune's eyes never left his student, left hand slipping under the table as the padding of his fingers felt around the hilt of his blade. One of his daggers he kept hidden under his desk. Just in case. The hunter placed the blade behind his back in a seamless motion, moving away from the desk with slow steps in the same movement. Rune truly did not understand. All he could think about was how this student had been suffering for this long to mistake him for such a thing.
Or was Rune really at fault?
Rune had killed many in his wake, whether it were of intention or not; blood was still blood. So, Rune would not put it past himself that maybe he were at fault in all of this. Maybe--
" Daiki Tanaki "
The vampires eyes narrowed on reaction. That name spiked his senses in an instant. That name. He remembered that name.
The memory was definitely a far one but, he could see it. Daiki Tanaka. A front line hunter in the war in the same branch of VHA that Rune were also apart of. They've crossed paths a few times, exchanged some words but Rune could not think of anything more than that. Well. Rune could not remember most of anything back then.
His grip on the handle of his dagger tightened, walking further away from his desk to alleviate one less obstacle. Rune's eyes were on Asahi still yet taking note of his surroundings. Find optimal space and vantage points for battle. As far as Rune could tell. Asahi was inconsolable.
"So after all of this time, you still initiate revenge?" He did not understand. As Rune has never come across something like his "true love" after almost living a millennium, he could not understand why even after so long; they could create such hate. "I wish I apologize for such a sin but... you would never take my word. And even still, forgiveness isn't a possibility from what I see." Before he knew it, the flickering lights could not take the voltage, soon blowing out in the spaces between them. And all he could see were red eyes.
"But I will apologize about the sympathy I cannot give for my actions. I've never experienced real love, so I cculd never truly feel sorry for what I may have done."
@☾ asahi shirabuki Rune took a leisure sip from his water bottled he'd just placed a tablet into earlier. His eyebrow rose as he listened attentively. And also with perplexity. This was the first time the man heard his student speak. Yet for some reason, their voice brought this sense of familiarity to him, yet also bringing his mind bundles of confusion. And how dare they speak to him as if they've crossed paths before? Rune's jaw tightened, an attempt to discard his irritation and fight or flight reflexes. Everything in the hunters head wanted to fight, yet he knew where that would bring him in this situation.
His new student were a pureblood. There was no way he could get away with killing someone like that with out consequence.
"I fail to understand your words, Shirabuki-san..." Rune spoke as he slowly risen from his chair himself, a habit of his to match one of his opponent. His eyes flashed in warning themselves, only letting his killing intent flare for a single moment. "..but I also do not appreciate you threatening someone like this. Please have a prompt explanation or things will not go as you would plan.." Rune could not help his words but his tone were as monotone as his expression. Hard to read but the threat were as clear as water.
"I did not want to be in the position where I'd have to harm a student, but we can both easily just discuss about what is going on..." He let out a light exhale. "As I truly have no understanding of the situation here.." Or...did he? Rune felt like he'd seen these eyes somewhere. Yeah, of course he did, he came across vampires that wanted to kill him almost on the daily yet these pair of eyes were different. And /so/ familiar. But he couldn't put anything on as to why.
@☾ asahi shirabuki Rune had definitely underestimated his own lesson plan for the day, nearly forgetting how much work he himself needed to do to prepare for the next day. It raised a groan out of his body, running a hand through the strands of hair that had fallen out of his hair tie a bit earlier. With all of his students leaving, he simply sat back down into his chair and sighed. His maple eyes stared down at the tones of notes on his clip board, essentially organizing mostly everything he needed in his head.
Yet... Rune could not exactly shake the chill that would not leave his spine. This specific student had been eyeing him ever since class started. And they didn't even bother to leave with the others. Given, it were this students very first class with him, there was this unwavering murderous intent from the jump. The male looked up from his position, meeting the eyes of his new student. Asahi. A handsome male and easily one of the most bone-chilling stares he'd ever received in his lifetime.
Rune was not ignorant. He knew when someone wanted to harm him when the time came. But this made no sense to him...
"If you had any questions about todays class then you may ask..." Rune tried to seem oblivious as possible, keeping his patience high and his stare sharp. "I can assure you that I am glad to help whenever you would need..."
