Irene admitted with a little giggle, the world she had lived in was fairly secluded and cut off from the world. It had just been her and her husband on his estate, the only other people who came were the ones who dropped off the groceries or did lawn work or repairs on the house. Watching him walk towards the pond she smiles and stands up as well. She wasn't dressed for swimming but she supposed there was a first time for everything. So she slowly ed her dress, letting his slip off her shoulders and then fall to the ground revealing the white lace she wore underneath. "Is it cold?"

@♝ в. ιяєиє*ˡᶦᵛᶦⁿᵍ ᵈᵒˡˡ "do they? we must not be watching the same movies or reading the same books...not that i take part in either activity very often. they're not my cup of tea! even though i've wanted to get into reading. i'm more of a music and video game and outdoorsy type of guy." he commented after swallowing the bit of sandwich in his mouth. the last thing he wanted to do was gross her out by speaking with his mouth full. "is it really? wow, i didn't ever think about it possibly being a way to cheat when picking a favorite." chris laughed, finishing his food in a few more bites before wiping his hands on a napkin and standing up. "as for one i've produced...i'd say it was one of my most recent ones on this past album. in general, i think it might be 'heartless' by the weeknd." he took some steps toward the lake and toed his shoes off along the way, his shirt following not too long after. as soon as his hands flew to the buttons on his jeans, chris glanced over his shoulder. "if you wanna ask me more questions, you have to come for a swim with me, little miss."

Even the bad things, they try to make it seem less painful than it actually is." Irene said, taking another bite of her sandwich and listening to the answers to her questions, making a mental note of what Chris' favorite colors were. "Black is actually my favorite color too, it feels like cheating. Black is all of the colors, so I don't have to pick just one." She giggled, proud of her own little cheat. "Mm, both I think. I'd love to know both." She finally said with a decisive nod, finish off half of her sandwich and popping a caramel candy into .

@♝ в. ιяєиє*ˡᶦᵛᶦⁿᵍ ᵈᵒˡˡ "i can imagine that it would be rather strange. you did your research, though, hm? with reading all of those books, you've gotta be way smarter than most people here, don't you think? again, that's just another reason we should be listening to you." after reaching for a sandwich for himself, he stretched his legs out, propped his upper body back on one hand, and sunk his teeth into the bread. "alright, alright. i'll play! my favorite color...can i have two favorites? because i absolutely love black, but blue is pretty dang nice, too. as for my favorite song, are you wanting me to answer with a song that i've created, or just in general?"

I had to learn most things about the world that way." She explained, taking another bite of her sandwich, looking out over the lake with the same soft smile. "Exactly like twenty questions! I want to know all the important things, like your favorite color, or which song is your favorite. I think the little things that make us up are just as important as the big events that shaped us."

@♝ в. ιяєиє*ˡᶦᵛᶦⁿᵍ ᵈᵒˡˡ "it's perfectly okay if you are, irene. i wish i was more romantic, to be honest. i kind of think part of that could be accredited to the fact that i didn't have my parents around long for them to teach me about that kinda stuff. my sister taught me a bit, but...i don't know, it's not really the same, i guess." he sighed, glancing up towards the moon for a moment, lost in thought. at the suggestion of playing a game, he met her gaze again and chuckled. "i didn't doubt your seriousness. but sure, we can play a game. is this going to be like twenty questions or something? or did you have another in mind?"

She assured, flushing pink when he offered her the sandwich and she took a bite before she took it from him. "I was serious about getting to know you by the way. Can we play a little game? Nothing intense, I just want to learn more about you. About the things you like, and don't like." She knew they both had things in their past there were painful, difficult to talk about, but she wanted to know all the little things that made Chris who he was.

"what kind of man would i be if i got you mcdonalds for our first date? i may not be a diehard romantic, but i know how to plan dates. or at least, i like to think i do, heh." chris finally plopped down next to her, pulling out one of the sandwiches he'd put together and holding it up to her lips. "here, eat."

Irene laughed at herself for getting so emotional over it, blinking her eyes rapidly until the tears didn't threaten to fall any longer. "No one has ever done something like this for me. I would have been happy with McDonalds, but you put real thought into this and it means a lot to me." Chris had made it special, the flower petals and candles, the view overlooking the lake. She was well and truly overwhelmed with gratitude, her heart felt like it was fluttering in her chest and she didn't think she would ever stop smiling.

"yeah, you like it?" he asked with a soft voice, meeting her gaze, surprised to find tears pooling in her eyes. "oh...hey-" the wolf dropped to his knees and carefully took her face in his hands, thumbs swiping underneath her lower lashes in a gentle motion. "don't cry, lovely. i just thought you deserved something nice. no, i /know/ you deserve something nice."

It was like a picture straight from her most self indulgent day dreams. It was so absolutely beautiful she almost couldn't believe it. "It's perfect." She whispered, afraid to speak too loudly and realize it was all some kind of dream. Slowly walking closer she sat down on the blanket, over looking the water as she just took in the moment. Finally she looked back up at him with a smile, her eyes a little wet. "I don't think it could possibly be more perfect."

"nothing, nevermind. let's go and have fun and forget all of this, yeah?" squishing her against him, he walked both of them outside to an area near the lake that he loved so dearly. a fuzzy blanket had been spread out underneath one of the trees, candles and multicolored flower petals lining the sides and corners. with a wide smile, he declared, "we're here!"

"I think it's nice, my friends are protective of me too. I think that just happens when you care about someone, you want to keep them safe. That's why I always want to take care of the people I care about. I want Miyeon to be happy, and Hwi and Lucas to keep that playful banter. I want to protect that happiness in any way I can, and usually that's just by being happy myself. That includes you too, I meant it when I said I would make sure you were happy. No matter what kind of mate life has in store for you."

"take your time, hm? i won't go anywhere!" while he waited, he did his best to calm himself down, focusing on nothing but his breathing. once she returned, though, he allowed a smile to form on his lips and reached to take the basket for her while his own bag hung from the other arm. "allow me."

Smiling softly she leaned up to kiss his cheek before she stepped back with a nod. "I made some wonderful desserts. I'll go grab my little basket and I'll be right back, won't be more than minute!" She assured her, squeezing his hand one more time before she hurried down the hallway. Returning just a few minutes later with a small basket tucked into her arm. "Okay, I'm ready to go!"

"i apologize for the way i acted. i...honestly didn't know what came over me." with a sigh, he nodded off to the side. "if you need to go and grab anything, go ahead. i'll wait right here."
