@lee felix. a cop huh... well that may cause an issue. his best bet is to stay hidden and perhaps do what felix suggested. he didn't want to leave his friend to fight these people though, jeongin knows how crazy they can be, he isn't sure if lix knows. he wants... honestly both of them to be safe than sorry so time to take extra precautions, somehow...? he glanced over at the other male and nods. "Deal but is there any way I can help...? maybe distract them?" what can jeongin say? maybe state that he briefly did some sort of security job, so he doesn't sound suspicious otherwise. "Has anyone seen Fox around? He usually is seen around this area. We need to have a word with him." one of the attackers had called out to the crowd of people in the bar, saying it's a talk but in reality, they want to fight.
Oh, for s sake- he jinxed himself. Innie glanced down at the ground for a few moments to 'calm himself' more so just make sure he doesn't have a certain expression on his face that may make him wary, got to act like a regular human being.
@yang jeongin. "i won't get hurt, innie...you have my word. trust me, i'm-" he paused, wincing a little before blowing out a slow breath. "i'm trained in these kinds of situations. i've never told you before, but i'm a cop. i don't exactly have a lot of time to explain all of that right now, but i promise when we make it out...i'll fill you in. deal?" how he managed to hide such a thing from his best friend for so long was beyond him, especially when his profession was such a big part of his life. when a few more shots rang out, felix lifted his pistol and did a quick scan of what he could see of the bar. "at this rate, i'll need /lots/ of backup," he grumbled before glancing back toward his friend. "alright, innie. are you ready to start crawling? the rear exit isn't terribly far from here. i have a clear view of it and should be able to keep you safe."
@lee felix. jeongin didn't know what to think or how to react as he'd never been through this style of situation before... whether or not it was these exact same circumstances or a similar one. he had to carefully think of what to say without giving any types of hints that he's not... fully sane as one would say? like, who'd be one-hundred percent rational or normal with this type of career that the male's had for a good while now. even though felix is a super close best friend of innie, the younger didn't even want to contemplate what may change or not... or how the older may see innie. his best bet was to act innocent and hope one of the enemies attacking the bar didn't try to call him out. " ah.. maybe, but what about you?" he asks with a concerned frown. " i don't want you hurt, hyungie.." he adds and glanced down at his hoodie pocket for a second, where he did kept a hidden away weapon if necessary as it's best to be prepared for the worst. " huh..? backup?"
@yang jeongin. thankfully, felix always made sure to carry a weapon of some sort with him at all times. not that he thought anything such as this would ever happen, especially in a bar with his friend, nonetheless, but one could never be too careful with how things were going in the world these days. the cop grabbed his friend and tugged him close to hide side, shielding the younger's body with his own. "do you think you can manage to crawl towards one of the exits without being seen? i can watch your back and keep you safe until you're outside. let me handle these guys...once i call for some backup." he murmured softly, finally reaching for his gun's holster and the pistol. felix had never mentioned to jeongin that he was a cop, but he'd rather have to explain such a big secret he'd had to keep up until now versus possibly costing his friend his life.
@lee felix. he simply emits a playful chuckle at the latter’s comment, flashes a cheerful grin right back at him too. “I can handle it just fine. ..yes I am, hyungie. “ he hums in acknowledgment and takes a big gulp of the beer, almost having it done by now though there was still some left at the bottom of the glass. his eyes wander over to felix, orbs lil wide for a moment as he heard lix’s voice drop down an octave. he's used to it by now at this point but there’s an occasional time or two where he’s still surprised by it. when the sudden loud noises burst through their good-humored banter and drinking time, jeongin swiftly but slyfully glanced around, spotting a group who must’ve started the shooting and recognized a symbol he managed to catch notice of for a brief second. “ ..” he muttered under his breath as a mere whisper, listening to the older male by dropping onto the ground too, going next to felix.
@yang jeongin. "i just think you can't handle it." felix continued to tease, taking the last few swigs of his drink before sliding the new one closer to him once the bartender passed it over to him. "are you really savoring the moment, though?" he lowered his voice even more than usual and then proceeded to do a sweeping gaze of their surroundings. just then, a loud boom cracked through the air and something that sounded awfully like a bullet zipped by mere inches from his head. "innie," felix gasped out, immediately dropping towards the floor. "innie, get down!"
@lee felix. “ yeah sure thing. “ Jeongin playfully grinned, taking a large sip of his beer while keeping some, or most of his focus on the older male. “Please- I’ll allow you to have your victory this time around with how many drinks we’ll have, hhmm? I’ll savor the moment as one could say. `` he muttered, watching felix’s actions though he knew to kept at least a bit of his guard up just in case anything is thrown towards jeongin’s way all of a sudden. he flashed his signature eye smile at felix and chuckles, grabbing his glass, taking another large sip of the beer. “I know i do~ it’ll be fun don’t worry, hyungie~ trust me. “

"another rum and coke, please," felix called to the bartender, already feeling rather tipsy as he sipped on his third mixed drink of the night. he sat on one of the stools next to his best friend and tapped his fingertips on the counter before turning to flash a playful smile at jeongin. "man, i can't believe you're still only on your second beer, innie. you're lucky we're not having a competition or else i'd be kicking your right now." he cackled, leaning over to nudge the other male with his shoulder. "but that's okay! the night is young, and you have plenty of time to catch up. what do you think, hm?"
