For the safety of all of our writers, we will only be accepting applications from accounts that are at least 6 months old. If applying under a secondary account, private message the head admin with your previous name.
Take note: We reserve the right to reject your application due to any problematic behaviour. If we’re made aware that a blacklisted writer has rejoined the RP under a different account, their character(s) will be deleted without warning. This goes for any secondary account that is used to bypass the additional character requirements.
We forbid any writers’ drama, unplotted and unconsented characters’ drama and harassment towards other writers.This includes shading and bashing their characters and them as a writer in this community. Please do not bring up any other RPs within the RP. Writers that cannot adhere to this rule specifically will be blacklisted without any warning.
Remain cordial and communicative. We heavily encourage all of our writers to communicate with their writing partners, especially when it comes to connections that may affect their characters or connections that are being plotted alongside the one in the connection/thread.
Please be made aware that we also ask you to remain pleasant and communicative while chatting in the writer’s channel. Refrain from speaking about triggering topics and respect each other’s boundaries and limits. We also encourage writers to state whenever they’re feeling uncomfortable regarding certain topics. Rest assured, it wouldn’t deter the positive energy in a room full of friends.
Rated and triggering plots must be consensual from all sides that are partaking in it. Once again, we remind our writers to be communicative. These threads must also be done in private rooms or rated areas. All rated/triggering threads must be labelled with an [M] or [TW] at the top of each post. Threads involving are only allowed in private spaces such as PMs and private rooms. We encourage your walls clean to allow other writers to reach out to you with comfort.
Plotted deaths and pregnancies are allowed. However, please reach out to us for further discussion before committing to it. We’d like it to be clear that for deaths involving your character, their faceclaim will be up for grabs once more after you have written a conclusion for your character.
Writers who are up for departure from the community need to inform the admins through our PM ( please PM the admin character `the end` ). Please do not comment as the section below is specifically used for character reservations and applications.
Your activity in this community will be tracked through your threads. At the end of each month, we will require our writers to submit their threads for that month. This includes threads that have been archived ( meaning, completed or closed ) for that month. Rest assured, what we seek to observe is your activity, not the number of threads you have. We will be requiring a minimum of one thread per month. You can find more information here.
Please be made aware that we don’t encourage submitting a thread that is similar to the previous month's thread you submitted OR a thread with the same character. We will only allow monologues to be submitted for your activity check if you do not have a thread that month. Headcanons submission will not be allowed.
The inactivity sign is set to 21 days. Failure to remove the inactivity sign will result in a warning being sent to you. If we have not heard from you after seven days since we sent you the warning, your character(s) will be removed. You can reapply for the same character but we cannot guarantee you will get the same faceclaim.
We only provide a full hiatus which lasts for four weeks. You will not be required to complete your activity check for the said month. If a writer wishes to extend their hiatus, please do so before the last day of the scheduled hiatus ends.
We accept faceclaims from celebrities of all nationalities except for the deceased, problematic figures, influencers and inactive known figures, ie. ulzzangs and cosplayers, as well as those who have asked to not be roleplayed. All faceclaims must be 21 years old and above. Please check the faceclaim directory to see if your desired faceclaim is free to claim.
Characters must be 21 years old and above as well. You are permitted to apply a 3-year difference from your faceclaim’s real age.
As Nimbus is set in the wizarding world, your character is allowed to have specific traits and backgrounds, ie. animagi and metamorphagi. However, to ensure that the population remains similar to how it would be in the actual universe, our admins will keep track of the ratio and may limit the number of characters allowed to partake in these specifications. You can find more information here.
Each character is expected to have an original name. They are not allowed to use their faceclaim name. When reserving and applying, please state both the faceclaim’s name and the name they’ll be using in this community. We ask that you do not reserve the same exact spelling of someone who is already in the RP, but you can apply for variations (Anne vs. Ann, Joonmyun vs. Junmyeon). This is to ensure characters are unique and are not confused with one another.
At the moment, writers are allowed to have and write for a maximum of three characters, given that their existing characters are active. You can find more information regarding applying for your second and third character here. There is a 48-hour window to hold your reservation. If you need an extension you will be given another 24-hours to apply.
