no one sees what you see; even if they see it too.
sometimes the miracle is being able to face exactly where you're at and say: this is where i am, no running, no hiding. there's gold for me here, and i intend to find it. no matter what.

Introduction
here comes your 6'2, multi-talented, young, rich and handsome webtoon artist cha hanwoong at your service, except he isn't aware of all that about himself and seems to think everyone's attention on him is purely fascinating and flattering, if not a little embarrassing.
despite the stern household he was brought up in, which the idea of maintaining the family image and reputation is the most important thing ever, hanwoong has never been one to care much for those. he likes being free and honest, and not hiding his true self just to gain approval of others. that being said, he is just your friendly and chill next door guy, always a warm smile hanging on his face and a helping hand ready. lowkey a jokester who likes puns and teasing and making jokes, he likes to keep the atmosphere light and easy for everyone, even if it means he is on the receiving end of those. despite seemingly as someone who's never serious and he does enjoy and contribute to his own fair share of chaotic moments, he's also just as serious when it comes to taking care of his actual responsibilities and building his career, wanting nothing more than just to do his best and also more importantly, have fun along the way.

LIKES: drawing, painting, fiction novels, watching movies, cooking, wine, somaek (soju and beer), karaoke, photography, graphic design, staying at home all day and all night, driving, planting easter eggs and spoilers regarding his webtoon, pop songs
dislikes: being rushed, attending school, starving,bugs/insects, liars, fake people, traffic, height, raw food like sashimi, undercooked meat etc,
quirks:
- he has two pseudonyms, 웅영 (woongyeong) which is 영웅 inversed, meaning hero in korean. and the other is 차메레온, which is cha-meleon, with the cha from his family name and meaning his art style would continue to change as a chameleon would, intended for seeking constant improvement and fresh surprising ideas.
- is taking gap year after gap year in university, and actually a psychology major. took up that major thinking it would make his parents proud but his webtoon career took off so he ended up postponing his actual studies.
- irregularly posts artwork with different art style under his chameleon pseudonym, while woongyeong is mainly used for his webtoon work only
- he prefers drawing digitically rather than on paper, cause he is lazy.
- is signed to ylab company, a reputable and well-liked content company in the entertainment industry, famous for their various universes across different webtoons, comics and videos, and the company has recently branched into the film industry too.
- received the year's most popular webtoon award for his work in his official debut, which leads to his contract with ylab.
- is still constantly receiving various awards for his other webtoons
- apparently there are rumors of fansites out there dedicated to him, and he knows that but he chooses to always nag them to dedicate their time and money to something better instead. supporting and liking his work would be more than enough for him. actually he's in a very good relationship with his fans, he likes to hear their theories and he also likes giving spoilers and easter eggs.
- occasionally does commissions, but at the end he always gives those out for free
- plays guitar, wants to learn piano but he's lazy
- likes photography, and sometimes he can be seen always carrying a camera around
- has one elder brother who's a prosecutor (cha hanyeong), an elder sister who's a lawyer (cha hanyoon), and a younger sister who's still in uni (cha hanyul)
goals:
- open his own gallery one day
- draw an entire webtoon of the story of his life and the people in it
- TO ACTUALLY GRADUATE BEFORE HE REACHES 30
- TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD!!

한웅. 하나의 영웅. Become your one and only great hero.
Despite the meaning of his name that his parents gave him, they seemed to be anything than willing when he decided to be the main voice of his own life story, do as he wish rather than what they intended for him to, and ultimately making a life for himself.
Ever since Hanwoong was young, the Cha parents put him through the same training and classes that his other siblings went through. Languages, advanced mathematics and science classes, a music instrument class for each sibling, and the likes. The purpose was so that he could be as excellent as his other siblings, as his parents. That he should honor the family name and be just as reputable and successful. The Cha parents were both lawyers, before retiring from court to continue providing their expertise and experiences as professors of a prestigious law school, and no doubt, both of Hanwoong's elder siblings had ventured into the same field, with one practicing law and the other working in the country's prosecutor office. It was expected that Hanwoong would be the same, serving justice and defending the right ones, yet as high the expectation was, the harder the disappointment hit.
Hanwoong had never had much interest in those, and he hated memorising stuff more than anything. Math and science stressed him out, and while he might enjoy his language classes and the few years of his guitar classes, none of those managed to keep him as intrigued as art does. He would much rather pondering over the different mixture of colors to get that exact shade he wants, than cracking his brain open to figure out the absolute nightmare of mathematical equations with alphabets and numbers in the mixture. No one knew exactly how his interest in art developed, or where his seemingly natural born talent of art skills even came from, but one thing for sure was that he was just that good, even at a young age without having learnt any proper techniques.
When he started drawing more and more, doodling and sketching on his class notebooks instead of focusing on his studies, the Cha parents were less than impressed. They didnt think his art was important to him, and that it was only a waste of time. His best friend was the first to be impressed by his drawings and encouraged him to pursue his dream, despite what his parents had planned for him. Hanwoong's relationship with his parents might be tensed all the time, but his siblings and his best friend had been supportive. Until now, he still considers them as the reason he was able to be at where he is now.
By the time he was in high school, he still wasn't allowed by his parents to take any art lessons, but his siblings who had already started working had been willing to sign him up for self learning online tutorial classes, send him art supplies so he could work on improving his own skills. He joined his high school's art club and whatever art competitions he could, winning big and small prizes here and there just to prove to his parents, but neither of those managed to impress them.
So when Hanwoong's best friend finally debuted as an idol, and almost immediately became one of the hottest groups with impressive achievements one after another, Hanwoong who was well aware of all the hardships his best friend went through and grateful for the constant support his best friend had shown him despite everything, had decided to put down the story of his best friend's life into drawings, dedicating the entire thing to his best friend and the group. That was when Hanwoong hit jackpot too.
The story was drawn in a webtoon format, and posted online for fans to see. The webtoon gained a huge following, for its quirky story telling and beautiful art style, which didn't take long for it to eventually reach the company of his friend's group. The company seemed to view it as an opportunity for another marketing technique, and proceeded to offer Hanwoong a contract to fully develop the story into a full webtoon. A webtoon project to give more insight and refreshing content for fans of the group. Hanwoong hadn't rejected the offer. From there, with better funding and professional opinions on various aspects, he was able to develop and draw the story into a better version. As popular as the group was, the webtoon gained just as much attention, all the way from its relaunch to the ending episode, with many expressing their anticipation in seeing his next following work.
It didn't take too long for him to come back into the webtoon scene with a brand new project, fully his own story and world building this time. Once again the webtoon was off to a great start, and its ever growing reader followings and positive reader feedbacks had made him one of the most popular webtoon artists, despite being fairly new in the scene. He was then noticed by YLab company, and was offered a contract to be one of their signed artists, and from then on, he had nothing but a steady and increasing income, and more importantly, more opportunities for different projects and collaborations, with all of these actively receiving positive feedback from the public.

With him and his work's popularity rising, especially with his debut work being connected to the idol group, he was also casted by a few variety shows for brotp specials, rising stars specials and so on. He went onto the shows mainly to satisfy his own curiosity of how broadcasts work, yet he hadn't expected to be on the real time search engine top 10 keyword searches almost every time he made an appearance on those handful of variety shows. People were impressed and smitten with his good looks and talent, with a friendly and chill personality to match. Seeing that as an opportunity with much potential to be explored, his agency had been more than eager to send him off to more shows, which was the entire reason of how he ended up as one of the cast of Roomies.
Dear future p.i.c,
if there's forever,
it's always you.
A letter to my muse
before you die, experience the love of a writer, poet or painter. if you're lucky enough to be an artist's muse, they will immortalise you forever.
