background: born in japan to a japanese father and a korean mother, minjoo lead a relatively simple life with until a car crash claimed both of her parents lives. suddenly an orphan, they scoured high and low to find a distant relative which minjoo had in korea, an aunt, who then adopted her but abused her, eventually moving into an orphanage after running away; even in school, she studied hard but was an outcast, always getting picked on and bullied by the rich, getting her grades swapped and suffering racial and verbal abuse, in addition to getting beaten up. couldn't take any of it anymore, she dropped out after the first year of high school and began to work countless of part time jobs just to help herself, staying alone in a tiny room after the orphanage closed down. but because she was seen as in easy target, bosses and s picked on her but she still had to live on without any complaints, crying almost daily in her room and wondering when would life turn for the better.
it was through their help that she finally lived a normal life for once, and they were a loyal group of friends. they eventually started a band together as a joke, uploading their music to youtube where they got viral and bars starting providing them gigs. a company scout happened to see them but only had eyes on minju, her visual being deemed suitable for the idol industry. not wanting to leave her friends, she rejected their offer countless of times until her bunch of friends finally manage to persuade her to chase her dream, wanting her to have a stable life.
eventually debuting as an idol, she spent two good years with them until deciding that the path was no longer for her, still preferring to play in a band rather than dancing, fixing her mind of producing music for the people.
