@α jeon jiho『ʟᴇᴏ』 @❀ takahashi mika ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ @❀ jeon minjun『ᴀᴄᴇ』ˢᵒˡᵒⁱˢᵗ @♀ seo jiyoung『ᴊᴀᴅᴇ』 he was surprised to say the least when he received a notification about a song featuring, wondering why in the world would anybody put up such a combination of misfits, after what went down in the hotel weeks prior. it was as if the universe was playing a joke on him, and man, was he tired and certainly numb. there were people he didn't want to meet because that was the only way he could kill off all the emotions he had for them (or so he thought), but still, work is work, and he had to be professional, especially as the leader of his own group, a role model to the younger colleagues, and as the fated day came to light, he was dressed professionally, sleek shirt, ironed pants, luxury watch, getting into the mindset as he stepped into the recording studio, being the second person there, with the main character already present.

"hey hey, i went through the lines, i think we can start immediately," he quipped to both the producer present and to minjun, the latter to which he gave a friendly tap on his shoulder. he had nothing against him of course, as much as he saw him coming onto one of his closer friends; that was just a moment of mistake coming as a consequence of something he didn't want to be reminded about. putting on the headphones as he stepped into the recording booth, he gave a thumbs up before feeling the music flowing into his brain, locking himself in a trance as he seeked to match his voice against the demo, adding his own style and flair, eyes closed, finishing up, then hearing the playback to which he wasn't satisfied with. "again," he asked, and repeated the process over and over, until something broke him out of thought.

She was usually curious and talkative but this was different. Mika observed the younger for a moment before reaching over and tucked some of her blonde locks behind her ear. "Jiyoung.. is everything ok? Please tell me if something is wrong. Let unnie help ease your mind at least." She said with a soft smile, hoping to calm Jade's thoughts. "We can delay a bit more, I don't think he'll mind. I can buy you some time." It was interesting that Jade had asked about being on time as she didn't mind sometimes. She gently shook her head and shrugged as genuinely didn't know why he'd specifically asked for her. Mika had sensed some tension but didn't want to pry as she also felt apologetic for leaving Jade abruptly at the party. Sure she was told not to worry and have fun but Jade was the little sister she never had. In a way, on or off duty, Jade is her responsibility.

As the car slowed down into a park, I tucked my phone away into my handbag again, turning to Mika, trying my best not to show the tension on my face.
I hadn't talked to Minjun since the hotel situation, because I was actively avoiding being in his line of sight - some sort of tension ache pulling at the back of my stomach, a sort of weird guilt or shame at my actions, and how they would affect the older man. Not to mention he was the brother of someone I was trying to get over (successfully, might I add!). As I smile at Mika, I silently wonder why does her presence not bring me any pain, but it's probably because I knew her before connecting her to Jiho - she is just "Mika-unnie", her own person, not "Jiho's girlfriend", while Minjun in my head was "Minjun, Jiho's brother".
"Should we go, are we on time?" I swallow around the lump in my throat, knowing I have to stop being a little at some point and face Minjun. Look him in the eyes, no matter how uncomfortable I feel. Maybe (probably, definitely) apologize. "Unnie... do you know why Minjun-ssi asked for me specifically to record with him?"

Finally, come the day he had been looking forward to and also the day he dreaded. Arriving an hour earlier than the appointment hour, Jun used it to clear his mind from any unnecessary thoughts. It would be the first time ever he met both Jade and Taeyong ever since the hotel.... incident. And he didn't know if he felt scared, anxious, or excited about it. The mixed feelings surely would do nothing good during the recording process since he needs to get it done before his departure to LA by the end of the week for an event. Leaning back against the chair, Jun could only hope that everything would go according to plan without any trouble. For all of them.

@❁ lee won『ᴏɴᴇ』ᵖʳᵒᵈᵘᶜᵉʳ sarang let out a soft sigh, her lips jutting out slightly as she nodded in acknowledgment. "i must be too tired," she murmured, her voice tinged with fatigue, "so when i saw the chat, i got annoyed real fast. i shouldn't bring my emotions into it when you're just talking about work." furrowing her eyebrows with a hint of frustration, she waited expectantly as he paused, then leaned in closer to his face, her eyes fixed on his. "only what?" she pressed, her tone teasing yet demanding. "finish it, coward, because i'm waiting. just admit it right now. "

@❀ yoon sarang ᵃᶜᵗʳᵉˢˢ She melts against him anyway and Won smiles softly when she sits on his lap, light as a feather. He wonders how she manages to do it. But her presence alone takes all of his stress and fatigue away. "I'm not teasing you.. you're just reading too much into things my love." He says, leaning to kiss her forehead, his arm wrapping around her small waist.

"We're just all coworkers okay.. and you're my only .." he wanted to say girlfriend, but was he even allowed? Were they even at that phase? Won muses as he habitually traced circles on her back with his index finger.

@❁ lee won『ᴏɴᴇ』ᵖʳᵒᵈᵘᶜᵉʳ she settled into his lap after he kissed both her hands, facing him with her lips just inches away. "why do you enjoy teasing me like this? do you like seeing me get mad that much, oppa?" she asked before clinging onto his neck.

"i can't help but feel jealous, but i know i can't stop you from communicating with them. so i'm just rambling right now. you can ignore it if you want. i'm sorry."

@❀ yoon sarang ᵃᶜᵗʳᵉˢˢ What was supposed to be a regular studio work day for Won turned interesting when an unusual guest graced his work place. Her annoyance and attitude took him by surprise as he was used to her big bright eyes that stared at him with affection and her warm smiles that melted his heart. However, he was met with furrowed brows as she approached him. Won raises his eyebrows in mild shock and curiosity at what could have prompted such behavior.

"Hi love? What is it, what's wrong?"

He asks, taking both of her small hands with his and kissing the back of each one as he held her gaze. An act he usually does everytime they see each other in private. Away from the prying eyes of others.

@❁ lee won『ᴏɴᴇ』ᵖʳᵒᵈᵘᶜᵉʳ as sarang entered the recording room, her annoyance was palpable, evident in the slight furrow of her brows and the tense set of her jaw. she could feel the frustration simmering beneath the surface as she approached her boyfriend, who was busy at work. she took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm raging within her before speaking. "hey," she said, her tone clipped, a sharp contrast to her usual warmth. "can we talk for a minute?"

/gives a wide grin before settling on the seat beside you, opening up my small clutch and taking out my notebook, along with her phone which i recorded a small snippet of it/
okay erm so...
/flips open the notebook, keywords circled and then strung into words on the next page, making sure you were able to see all of it before i start to explain my thoughts/
i just had a spark of inspiration back in the dorm while thinking of my fans, visualizing them as my lover because they're the ones with genuine love for me, and vice versa too. and through hard times, they were always there for us, so they're like a pillar of support.

the phrase here "the cold december when we first met, the world, unbearingly cold" speaks about our debut as Venus, us girls against the world, and as much as we comfort and acknowledge the public, there were scars afflicted to us, which is in the next line written here. i.... actually made a recording from a beat i found online, but it didn't seem to portray the feel that i was looking for. i'll play it for you, vincent-nim! do give me harsh criticism on everything, okay?

/takes a deep breath before i play the recording i did the day before, my own singinv voice filling up the silence of the room, watching your reaction with hopeful eyes/
