Welcome to Smash or Pass — a semi-au roleplay originally made just to chill and relax in! Now that we've revamped and we're updating things, we're now a semi-au where IC interaction and threading are encouraged! We're a humble little semi-au that aims to host events and games every so often to have fun and also encourage IC interactions!
What makes it semi-au? Well, we aim to stick to our FCs and their on screen (or off screen) personas as much as possible, but with some creative liberties taken to allow for easier interaction and threading. Some of our events will focus more on the AU aspect of RP as well. We'll try to keep them idol-related, but to spice things up sometimes, we will host an AU events or two.
In the event we cannot accomplish all of the above, we still aim to have fun and encourage threads when and where possible! We're all here for a good time, not a long time, so lets make the most of it!

BEFORE RESERVING ✦ Favorite the rp for entry, upvote (though not mandatory) will earn you your 2nd chara.
DISCLAIMER ✦ Admins reserve the right to reject any application we see as problematic. That being said, absolutely no ooc drama though ic drama is welcome. We are an easy going rp filled with laid back people who wish to only vibe. If you cause trouble to the point where an admin has to step in they will take action how they see fit.
MATURE CONTENT ✦ Because this is a rated rp, you can in certain rooms I guess, but keep it in the rated rp rooms that say you can do so, please. I would prefer you keep it to walls and PMs, but you do you. Sometimes we like to just chill and chat, so only do the public naughty in rated rp rooms that say you can do that (i think it's just the bar and nightclub and backstage room rn???) and your own personal walls/pms. If you ever see something that makes you feel uncomfortable while in this RP, please notify the admins of what happened and make sure you use our safe word "fuddrucker" when needed.
OOC & IC DRAMA ✦ For the love of all that is good, do NOT start, continue, or even discuss ooc drama. Don't talk about other RPs, don't talk about blogs, don't talk about people who aren't here, none of that. We're all adults but we don't have time for your , and we want this place to be chill. If you are caught making a scene in public spheres over OOC drama, you will be issued one strike. Any further strikes is an automatic removal. If you find yourself in drama or in any discomfort with a member in general, please approach the admin immediately with screenshots. We will not take your word for it if you don't. IC drama is allowed with the consent of both parties, but not in public chats. Please do not be an and make everyone else uncomfortable. Our safe word is "fuddrucker" for now.
LEAVING ✦ If you wish to leave the roleplay, PM an admin with the reason for your departure. We ask for a reason so we can have feedback on how to improve the rp for those who will still be here and just in the future. Failure to do so will result in you being blacklisted from the roleplay. Do NOT comment about leaving or leave without telling us. You will NOT be let back in.
INACTIVITY ✦ Inactivity is set to 15 days. You will not receive notice before you are kicked as you are responsible for your own activity. Please request a hiatus or leave instead of going inactive; hiatuses last 2 weeks.
WARNING ✦ We will kick you out without warning if you go inactive because you should be aware of your own activity. If you get removed for inactivity, you will have to wait three days before you can come back. If you are removed a second time, you will have to wait a week. After three times, you will be banned from joining for a month. If you're ever removed for inactivity, your claims will be up for grabs again, so try to stay active if you want to keep them.
In addition to the above rule, we ask that you do not hog faceclaims and just wait to go inactive + get kicked. Just, and I cannot stress this enough, leave if you're not actually going to be active. It's a waste of everyone's time.
FACE CLAIMS ✦ Face claims must be 21 and older internationally. When reserving them, please follow the comment format below. All reservations last for 24 hours. Do not join as a face claim involved in significant scandals, someone deceased, or a face claim that does not wish to be rped. All orientations, genders, pronouns, and races are accepted here.
When you join the rp, you must also set up a dp your first day AND set up a profile with basic trivia (age, job, orientation, ooc info, etc) your first week. Those who do not set up a dp within 24 hours or do a profile with basic trivia will be removed.
CHARACTERS ✦ Five characters per account. If you desire a second character, you can have one if you upvote. Want a third? You may acquire one at 150 points with both of your first two characters and with an admins permission OR full profiles for both prior muses. Want a fourth? You can get one once you've been in the rp for a full two weeks, once you have 1000 points on at least one character, or once you fully complete all profiles for prior characters. Want a fifth? Just ask! You may get two characters from the same group if they have over 8 members.
What constitutes a full profile? Basically, you'll need to have OOC info, basic stats about your muse, information about their personality, and at least 3 plots or connections.
DATING & IC BONDING ✦ There will be absolutely NO dating your first month in the rp. Everyone is and will stay single their first month. Obviously this means no move in couples as well, UNLESS you are coming from the old rp. You've technically already done your time.
There is also an age gap rule: Muses 21-23 cannot fraternize and mess around with muses who are 6+ years older than them, meaning if the other muse is over 5 years older, they cannot mingle. For everyone else, meaning 24 and up, there are no rules in place.
MUSE HOGGING ✦ If we suspect you of muse hogging, it's because you either post once to avoid the inactive sign and then never post again, get a bunch of characters and you aren't active with all of them, etc. Should you be suspected of hogging muses, we will give you one warning and you will have to do three starters/replies that are at least a paragraph in length over the next three days OR for the lazy folks, get 50 points a day for the next 3 days without spamming. After that, we will remove you from them.
MISCELLANEOUS ✦ The key to get in is "softer than soft serve" and don't forget it.
If going on hiatus, tag an admin in the hiatus room. We don't allow semi-hiatuses, just as a heads up.
You don't have to just use this rp to and can come here for the vibes or to write threads if you'd like. I doubt that's what you'd join for, but know it is an option. We will add rooms you can RP in if you want as well.

— those who are married since this is nonau based. (ex: tvxq changmin, exo chen, etc.)
— influencers we can't look up or find info on. (notably their age/birthday)
— those who have asked not to be rped. (ex: kwon sohee/saay, jamie park, etc.)
