@islander It is another sleepless night for Krystal, no matter how much toss and turns she did over the last few hours, it seems like sleep just wouldn’t come to her. She’s not sure if it’s the news about her boyfriend is at a party drunk as hell that keep her up or is it the coffee she drank earlier. Probably the latter. Turned over and lay on her back as she stare blankly at the ceiling trying to figure out her own feeling now. Strangely, she doesn’t even feel one bit of anger toward this so call boyfriend of hers, just emptiness and a bit of disappointment in him, in herself and in this relationship in general. Grabbed her phone beside her pillow as Krystal dialled in her boyfriend's number only to be direct to the auto answer machine. Sighed quietly as she ended the call. Just as she about to turn off her phone, a name in the call logs caught her eyes as she spent a good few minutes staring at it. Her thumb hesitates over a contact name “Mark Tuan” as she contemplating on whether she should call him or not but in the end, she decided against it and shut the screen off before dropping it back down the bed.

The last call she had with Mark was almost a week ago and the last conversation she had with him did not end well too. Maybe it was because Krystal is just too stubborn to admit that Mark is right, to give him the satisfaction that he’s correct and having a smug look on his face that basically saying “I told you so” the one that she knew all so well. But then again, when have he ever been wrong? Ever since they were young, it was always Krystal the one who do stupid things, the one that makes dumb decision while Mark was always the more responsible, more mature and the wise one between the two. She knew Mark does not like her boyfriend and vice versa, it was hard to balance between both of them. She knew about the two’s encounter yesterday as her boyfriend angrily ranted to her about it after that, she listened and bit her lips the entire time to stopped herself from pointing out that Mark was in the right and to stop herself from scowling at him to leave Mark alone.

Krystal let out a frustrated sigh and tossed the sheet aside as she got out of bed, officially giving up on her sleep for tonight. She decided to go on a night run although even now might be a little too late for a night run but who cares. Ignoring all the dangerous possibilities that could happen this late at night, she really need something to take her mind of this mess that she created and running is something that can help her do that. Putting on her running gears and tied her hair up before grabbed her phone as she exit the house, slammed the door shut behind her. She was greeted with a cool breeze of wind against her legs since she dressed in her gym short and a tank top covered by a black windbreaker jacket she grabbed the last minute in case if the weather is cold. Start her run heading in her usual running route which mean she will have to run pass Mark’s house.

Like always her feet automatically slow down when she reach to his house as she come to a stop right in front of his house. Now that she’s here, Krystal have a strong urge of wanting to see his face despite it’s already almost 2 am in the morning. Slowly dragged her feet toward his door and pressed on the door bell, unknowingly holding her breath. Knowing Mark, he would probably ignore it if he’s sleeping, nothing can get between him and his sleep but Krystal like to take her chances. She let out a breath of relief when the door open, reveal a very annoyed looking Mark make her want to laugh but also feeling slightly guilty at the same time. “Um hi? Did I interrupt something?” She smile sheepishly, biting her lips, waiting for his answer.

[orz this is nothing compare to yours and also, I'm really sorry for the late reply.. ]

@Lynnixo Since when had the hour gotten so late? Freshly out of a hot shower, dressed in gray sweats and a simple white v-neck, Mark checked the time on his phone before taking a seat on his bed. Half past one. It was becoming a habit of his, constantly checking his phone. He didn't know what for - well actually he did, but he refused to acknowledge the fact that secretly, he wished to see the name "Krystal Jung" show up on his screen some time now. Ever since she started regularly seeing that stupid guy of hers, they'd drifted apart quite significantly. To be fair, the two of them were probably spending too much time together before her newfound relationship. In fact, it wasn't the rare occasion that people mistook them for something more than "just friends," as they'd claim to be. But honestly, he'd known her for too long, been through too much along her side. For the longest time he'd get annoyed at some of the people around him who'd poke fun at their intricate relationship. But at some mysterious point in time, he had stopped denying the accusations. Instead they brought a smug grin to his lips, not that he ever let it surface.

How long had it been now since she revealed to him the existence of a 'boyfriend'? Maybe a few months? That sounded about right. Regardless, the news surprised him as much as it surprised their mutual friends, especially those who knew of this other guy and the rumors circulating around him. At first maybe he felt a bit of something that strongly resembled jealousy, but surely soon after it was frustration towards her that took over. And oh, he let her know. Maybe he could have been more subtle with telling her that her relationship was bound to fail and that she was wasting her time. In fact, the last time they talked had ended quite badly as well and he didn't deny his part of fault in that. Still whatever. She'd regret not listening to him in the future.

Letting his limbs relax, he let out a light sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair, still slightly wet. It had been a rather long day for Mark. Right after he'd gotten off work, he'd hit the gym. Honestly it took his mind off things and he needed it. Yesterday he had run into no other than her 'significant' other and the events of that encounter still had him pissed off. He swore that this couple was going to drive him crazy. Constantly he was changing his mind about which one of them he had more disapproval for. Since when did she start committing to relationships anyway? She was never one of those girls who gushed over the ideals of romance and he thought she had at least a decent sense of judgement for guys. Perhaps he had been quick to jump to conclusions.

Man, the more he thought about it, the more it was bothering him. Deciding that he probably just needed sleep, he was about to turn the lights out when he heard the ring of the doorbell. Intuitively he cussed under his breath. Who in the world was visiting at this time of night? The only possibility he could think of was that it was some stupid, drunk kids trying to get a kick out of things. Honestly he was about to ignore the entire ordeal, but he got up with a groan, already missing the covers as he made his way to the door. He swore to god that if this wasn’t important…
